Happy Monday ALL!!!

This morning, I hopped on ye olde torture device - the scale - and I swear I calibrated it and weighed twice and wiggled around, and the things says 184. I lost 4 pounds!!! I will be doing free weights like a bear again this week, because, well, because I lost 4 cotton-picking jiggly pale pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are not enough dancing carrots in the world!
I am super-motivated to behave this week because I will just be devastated to gain back. I just had chicken, brown rice, and veggies. Oh, yum. <rolls eyes>
So, this week I'm back on the free weights and cardio, except instead of doing the weights each day, I'm going to try to do a full=-body circuit M-W-F and then an hour of pilates on T-Th, with the walks and yoga thrown in as needed.

Man did I struggle last Th-F. I was looking forward to a breezy hour of yoga Saturday - and normally the yoga is the butt-kicker! But it seems to have paid off! If anyone see my 4 lbs, I don't want them back!!!!!!

I cannot believe it - and I had ounces upon ounces of whiskey at like, 2am on Sunday, and chips and egg rolls... I swear, I'm inventing a liquor diet*, because it is WORKING!!!

*side effects of diet may include cotton mouth and headache next morning.

Hey peeps, well, on to plan B...I was contemplating putting a big hunk of cash into the gas tank of the truck, so I could drive to the gym a few days this week, then decided, it's just not the smartest thing I can do. Yeah, the gym is more fun than a home workout for me, but honestly, I do not need to be blowing all that gas money this week. So, instead, I'm going to do the workouts at home this week, maybe throw in some non-crossfit stuff like dog scootering with the little dog, walking the big dog, longer runs, etc. This will save me that gas money, so we don't have to be scraping all week long, and I can save the gas that's in the truck to get to work on Friday. After that, I should have gas money for a while, so I can indulge my gym addiction, guilt free.

I'm going to kick my own butt later, but for now, I am working on the decluttering/purging mission around the house and yard, in preparation for a marathon of trips next week, to the dump and to donate anything I can get out of the house, yard and garage.

hey everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend. I want to start out and say welcome to the new CC challengers I wish you all the best.

Lori: I keep praying for you and I hope everything continues to work out.

Jam: good call on saving the money. I need to declutter my house too right now. The bf and I are doing hardwood floors...it's a mess. Good luck!

Thundah: Congrats on 4lbs! That's your personal cheerleader cheering you on as you work out this week! That's amazing. Keep it up.

David: Hope your hamstring heals. good job on getting the exercise down.

KDM: a loss is a loss...great job!

to everyone else I wish you well and hope you all are big losers this week!

So far things are going alright. I've been sick these past few days, just a cold so far, but i feel like crap. I've still continued to work out, i took off Sunday like I wanted to. I did cardio yesterday and today i'm doing cardio and lower body. As far as weightloss i've stayed the same, and I'm happy with that. I've struggled to take in enough calories this weekend because being sick nothing sounds good to eat so i don't think i've taken in enough, that could contribute to my weight stay. I have 3lbs to go and I will try and do it but to be honest i'm really happy just to be able to keep where I'm at right now and workout to be healthier.

The bf is looking gooooood! he's lost 15lbs so far. He's really helping with motivation right now.

well i'm going to finish my cup of coffee and get ready for the gym. I have class tonight and an exam tomorrow. I have seniorits already....100 days left! have a great day everyone.

KDM, any loss is great good for you!

David, sorry to hear about the hamstring pull, i hope it starts feeling better at least you were able to get some exercise in!

Thunda, you crack me up! LOL, but 4 lbs is awesome go you!

jam, unfortuately I know exactly what you mean about the high gas prices, they are fluctuating here like crazy. And good luck with your decluttering/purging mission!

Welcome, orange!

jdonato, hope you get to feeling better soon, at least you've been doing your exercise thats better than I do when I'm sick. Congrats to your bf, mine is hopping on the weight loss wagon too so hopefully he will see some results soon too. Oh and good luck on your exam tomorrow, I know exactly how you feel with senioritis but it will be over before you know it!

Lori, I am off to exercise and paint my nails too!

Unofficial WI this morning was 164.6 so I'm pretty excited about that, only about 5 lbs to go!

Good morning everyone! Went swimming at the gym this morning and it was really fun! I may have to do this more often. I also recommend doing the Insanity ab workout- no sit ups but it sure feels effective. Although it is hard.

Sounds like everyone's doing pretty good! I'll be traveling to India next week, so I'm not sure how my food will work out then. I can't really count it, so I'm just going to exercise and watch my portion sizes. Traveling for business is not an excuse to eat as much as I want!!!

Howdy to the new CCers! Welcome!

Just popping in to check on everyone quickly... Thanks for the accolades, ladies! I am still feeling pretty good about the loss, and determined for this week.

Let's go, chicks (and guys!), we can do this!!!

I know I have been missing in action, but I am still around.
I feel like I am really struggling right now. I am having problems with a sore hip right now so I am not able to run. This is a real bummer. I feel like I am going through runner's withdraw. It's a little stressful to me because I feel I lose the best when I am running, plus I love to de-stress while doing it.

I am so close to breaking 200, but it just keeps playing with me. up and down 205-202. I knew this was going to happen so I am trying to relax and let it take it's own course, but good grief!

congrats to everyone for hanging in there. I wish us all a great week.

Well, January is almost over and I have 1 pound left to reach my goal of 168 so in my mind I am now saying why not 166 by February 14th. I think I will see how my weekly weigh-in goes and if it's good I might lower my goal to 166.

Thundah, I am so impressed --4 lbs is great and very inspiring.

All this talk about cleaning house and purging clutter is also inspiring. I started off the year well by cleaning a long overdue closet but not much since then. I told myself I was going to do more this year along those lines. Maybe this is the time.

This afternoon I am going to a fresh foods market and am looking forward to maybe getting some healthy items.

fashinjunkie09~hehehehe So cool. I painted mine first with a clear coat then pink ~(kinda a hot pink color) then once they dried I painted them with a clear coat of glitter polish then I placed nail stickers on them~ light pink flowers with a silver center on them and then another clear coat.~I am really into doing my nails...I overdo them proboly LOL. My hubby got me some fingernail polish & some nail stickers for my 1 year anniversary of losing weight (back in November) And I have been glued. I paint them about every 4to 5 days .I touch them up in between if needed I never leave them without paint now LOL~I am addicted. Oh & for the exercise ~hate it/Love it/Gots to do it!LOL ~congrads on the 164.6~

uscarchie~Hope ya enjoy India....Sounds like you had a super workout at the gym~Keep up the good work when your able to....GOOD JOB!!!

thundahthighs ~Still amazed with your 4 pounds! Hope your week is fabulous for you!!

Jae165~Hope that hip gets to feeling better for ya.
I goof up my shoulder alot from all my walking I do & it sucks when Ya gotta take it easy from an injury. ~Can't wait to celebrate your getting into onederland..Just hang in there it will come...I was at 200.0 On my scale for like 2 days before I got My onederland when i was at that point of my weight loss...I thought about cutting my hair just to get it~LOL but of course I didn't And It came anyways....Just hold on.

emileigh~just 1 more pound~AMAZING~Your doing fabulous!
I wish I was there to help tackle the closet with ya..I love to clean out closets~So messy~So hard to do ~but ya always find some kinda treasure that you forgot you had And Are happy you did....I wanna treasure hunt!
When ya do let us know if ya find any treasures lurking in there~hehehehe

david~is that the big ball you throw back & forth? Or the aerobics ball?
I aint sure ~need more info....But I Would say Jam may be able to help ya out with that question....as for the hamstring Glad all is well~i missed reading that somehow...LOL~SO SORRY.

Everyone Take care & have a good Evening ~gonna go watch Night At the muesem Part 2 with my kids tonight (in the living room) Hope it is good we aint seen it yet...Looked funny...Hopefully it calms them down from there hyper no school because the dang roads was icy today DAY ~LOL
Doubt it but it's worth a try.
Gotta do my last walking right after. That should burn the calories I ate earlier.
Then Off to get some sleep...sounds like a plan..Hope it goes that way.

HUGS TO ALL!

I am tired - long, long week already, seeing as it started on Saturday, work-wise. Meh.

I did have a happy morning though - got my first ever whoosh on the scale! I won't call it til official weigh in on Sunday but it was nice to see. I started a new weight training program that's designed for six months - progressively harder stuff, I presume. I haven't read beyond week one. Too scared. But it's designed to work you towards a pull up and proper push ups, neither of which I am even remotely close to being able to do, so I'm excited. I'm also bloody sore after day one on Monday! But tomorrow's workout is different - you alternate workouts A and B and then move up, and stuff... I really should read more of the book!

morning

today will be a cardio and then some much needed yoga. Lots of things going on right now the landord came by and told us she was going up on the rent i was so furious my heart was pounding...i still can't believe it. This place isn't worth what we pay now and she's going up . But on the bright side we have healthy children, a roof over our heads and dh still has a job...so i guess i can't complain much

i will catch up with everyone after my workout...gotta go get the kids up for school right now.
