Will someone please just kick me in the butt? I know better than to go to the grocery store with my DH and not eat something before i go,ugh!
I was ever-so-slightly bumped off the wagon for a brief moment yesterday....gave in to some Chinese food with DH for lunch

There,thats my confession

So with that said, ive got to babysit my niece today and hopefully get in a good workout while she takes a nap...IF she takes a nap Todays challenge is to stay on track..

later gators

fashinjunkie09: nice job on the weight loss. I believe you can meet you goal

Lori259: thanks, class was alright yesterday, long day but I got everything done I needed to. I'm very happy about your teeth and I hope for a very painless process for you and can't wait to see your smile. I've had several mouth surgeries to get my pearly whites. I wasn't born with a few of my adult teeth, had the baby but just no adult ones to grow in, so i had implants and bone grafing done, and a few horizontal tooth surgeries. After it all I will say it was worth it. I never showed my teeth in pics I barely smiled for years and it's the best feeling to be able to really smile. I know how important this is to you so good luck!

thundah: I'm glad you maintained after the weekend. I know what you mean about salty foods. I have a problem with too much sodium but I just crave so much. I hope you have a great woosh of water weight. Nice job on the workout!

KDM: Thanks about the inches lost. When I started the weightloss 2 years ago, the only thing that kept me going was seeing the inches....i get really emotional(good and bad) about numbers on the scale. My fave to do is take a piece of clothing(jeans or shirt) that I couldn't fit into and try it on...man if i get into the skinny jeans....i do a little booty dance. Awesome job on the C25k...your kickin maaaaajor booty!

losing4another: I give you mad props for having the courage to go to WW and weigh in infront of ppl. I think it's amazing you go to the meetings.

Aiesline: nice job maintaining! If you can do that over a vacation you can do anything! You've got the cruise control.

misspriss: I was right there with you about going to the grocery store. I got home around 9:30 from class and I had no choice but to go, if I didn't I would just eat crap and not have my meals planned out. Eat something before you go...the bf doesn't eat and it's a struggle to watch him pass up his fav snacks when he's hungry. As far as the chineese food...you diserve it and I"m sure you'll be right back on track.

everyone else I hope you all have a great day. I'll fill in more later.

Hi everyone

Thanks to thoses that replied to my last post about my hip. It is feeling a little better and I was able to run last night. I just got on the treadmill for 3.5mile. I didn't want to push it too much. It's a little tender this morning but no worst. I am going to take it really easy this month. I am going to make a Dr's appt to have it looked at for reassurance.

Trying to get myself back on track here. A little frustrated that I am floating about the same weight. I did weigh in at 201.5 yesterday so hopefully that's a sign of things moving. I am pre-Tom, which is never fun, but hoping it will give me a loss when it's over to finally get out of the 200. I knew that this point was going to drive me crazy. I was hoping I would just fly through, but of course not. I am hanging in there though. I know it's coming

Great job everyone and hang in there.

Hiya folks!! Hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

misspriss: Have a and a

KDM: Oh my yes, I AM lucky I didn't gain. Do you KNOW how much booze I had? Many, many, many ounces. Ugh. Where's the hung-over smiley?

jdon: TOM and salt. Nope, no more to say about that!!!! Hah. You and me, and an enormous bowl of tortillas, salsa, and salted glasses for tequila. Or- um - turkey and whole wheat bread? Yeah - turkey and whole wheat bread. We can do this. Who needs salt? Not us!!!

Aiesline, Jae: Welcome back!

Lori - I hope you are feeling better!

Today is on plan - still sore from yesterday. Did 60 minutes of cardio/weights. Yikes. I was pouring sweat - hope that helps the bloat. Eating has been fabulous. I ate right on plan yesterday, and today, if I can, I plan on coming in a little low and seeing if I can do a little calorie cycling this week. My upper back has been a bit achey - Pilates today, maybe that will help.

We can do it!

I went to the store late last night after class which i'm so glad I did. I need to stay on track and having groceries and not eating out helps. So this week I was honest with myself about not being able to cook everything and make it from scratch. My breakfast burritos were awesome but I don't have that time nor energy in the mornings so I decided to do instant Oatmeal. I got the new Quaker Oatmeal Delights in the blueberry muffin......OMG...AMAZING! It was delish. 150 calories, 4g Fiber, i'm set. Simple and easy clean up. Lunches I just got the progresso Light soups and making chicken quesadillas, if i grill the chicken ahead of time all i have to do is toss it in the tortillas sprinkle some cheese and nuke it, which i can have that premade for school too. I'm done with making salads and bla bla bla. Then I got practical snacks...I got wheat thins fiber crackers, 100 calorie popcorn, and south beach bars. I need food that can stay in my backpack or car and be there anytime I need it otherwise it's the vending machine...peanut butter M&M's last night woops. If I had my way I would have frozen meals for dinners but we have meat to use up and fresh veggies which are healthier for us anyway. It's getting harder to CC and it's so much easier to have something that's pre-counted out and you don't have to CC every little ingredient.

Today I did cardio, the more my endurance goes up it's harder to reach my target heart rate. I was on the eliptical and it said for me to get to 157 well that took alot! then once i reached it i had to keep it, and if i did....BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP..the stupid machine kept going off on me to bring it up...gaaahhhhh. Sorry I'm a little cranky now. I"m done rambling for now, I hope everyone is having a great day and meeting their goals.

Krista - how can you not like Cadbury's Creme Eggs? On the running thing - 5mph is pretty good for week 4 of the C25K. That's a 12 min mile, which is solid. I have been running on and off for about 10 years (way more off than on!) and I can sustain about a 10:30 pace for a 5k. Longer runs, I'm more like an 11:00 pace, which is just under 5.5mph. So I would say you're right on track for where you are in your training.

Thundah - you are an inspiration with your workouts! I wish I could say it's enough inspiration to get me back to hour-long sessions, but the reality is working 12+ hours a day just doesn't give me enough awake time to do that! But I do aim for 40 minutes of HARD training, whether it's cardio intervals or weights - that will have to suffice for now. But you are definitely a workout role model!

JD - I have wondered if those flavored oatmeals are tasty. I used to eat the brown sugar one but it got so sweet, I gave up and now have plain oatmeal. Maybe I'll try a blueberry one though...

MissPriss - Chinese food is so good but so bad. Even the "healthy" stuff seems to be loaded with sodium - I can pretty much guarantee a good 1-2lbs of water retention following even steamed vegs with some chicken dish... which sucks because I love chinese food!

Me - well, 1lb of the water retention bloating fiasco went away overnight. That's what I get for drinking 120oz of water in 16 hours. No guesses on how many trips to the bathroom that entailed. Today I am back on track for food and drink but off track for workouts - I had one yesterday, slept in today, will be up at 4:30am tomorrow for a flight at 7am, so tomorrow is shot. But the casino I'm going to has a great gym so I'll use that Thursday morning, then back to routine on Friday. Phew.

Lost 2.4

Jdon- You don't have to weigh in front of everyone...Just one of the leaders. Then you can share pounds lost and all if you would like. Then there is the rewards for losing different amounts. Someone said today that the little five pound stickers were very elementary school..I agree but hey elementary school was fun

I also did some shopping on my way home from my meeting. The topic at WW was how healthy food is better than sugar free/ fat free food. I bought tons of fruit , nuts and veggies...Oh and some greek yogurt..I've never tried it but was told it was better than the fat free regular yogurt. Also some 100 calorie pack cheese crackers and chocolate cookies.....Had to get something bad

Hi everyone,

Losing4another, I agree with you that elementary school was fun and that if getting stickers is like elementary school, then what's the problem? I know that one of the things I like about posting here is that I like to see my progress on my ticker. And that's a little like getting a sticker.

Lori, the fact that you share some of your ups and downs just makes us appreciate you more, because either way you have found time to be here to encourage us throughout this challenge in spite of it not always being easy to do so.

And about the dental work, I just want to say that about 8 years ago, I took the plunge and had some pretty extensive cosmetic work done. It is one of the best things I ever did because it has made me so much more comfortable with my smile. I truly believe you will feel the same way.

Everyone, I really enjoy reading your posts and seeing all the different places you are in your lives and the different ways you are approaching your goals. I always get inspiration and ideas from you.

Whats everyone doing for their sweeties for valentines day? I need ideas???? I was going to get my dh a new wedding band with our names & anniversary date , have decided to wait until our anniversary for that.... and I don't want to get just a bunch of chocolates.

emileigh- Love my tickers too...Each time the scale moves the first thing I do is come update those tickers. The BMI ticker is my favorite, even with a little loss it still moves

jdonato - Try these bars called "Fullbars", I find them in CVS. They are about 150 calories, and by no means a meal "replacement" entire, but, um - well the name is the truth. When I gained back up to 190lbs, I was working a job that required me to be on the go pretty much non-stop, and I rarely had time to find and reasonably consume a healthful lunch. After one too many fish sammies from Wendy's (side note: I am also a fish addict. Friends claim I may turn into a fish one day.) I found those little beauts, and they would carry me through until I could make a more mature decision than "I will eat fish sammie in new record time of - 3 second!! *scarf scarf scarf*". With the water, as recommended, I would be feeling as if I'd eaten for several hours. And they don't crumble after, say a month or two in the glove compartment/purse/friend's larger pocket. Um - I'm not claiming they taste good, BTW.

jules - Aw, shucks. Well, as I've said - when you have nothing else to do but play fetch with the cat or fight with your hubs, exercise starts looking mighty fun. I have enjoyed myself. This week, my butt is KILLING me, and I'm about to go do an hour of weights and resistance. But - I'm about to start working, and I think I will be less of a fitness nut just based on having no more free time. You keep up the good work yourself! Drop a nickel in one of the slots for me... I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURVE Vegas and am frankly green with envy. Travel safely! Walking the strip and drinking those 64oz alcoholic slushies, does, I say, count as exercise. Do arm curls with it - slushy to mouth - squeeze! Ok - I am kidding. Remember, lobster w/o butter is always on plan. Enjoy the buffets. OKOKOK - just take me with you!!!!!

Lori - 12?!?!?!?!?!?! You seem way too young, girl! I do, however, think that a youngster on the cusp of manhood is good reason for cake and ice cream. We'll meet you back here, perfectly on plan! And I am glad you are comforted - have another !

losing4another - It's his job to do for me!!! We'll see. Love that man dearly, but he is not romantic. His idea of romance is smooching me on the cheek while he slaps me on the good-looking end. I am waiting with bated breath - really am. It could go either way - he'll either get a good idea and pull it off perfectly, or he will give me a perverted card and a lecherous look. I am, I admit, a tad high-maintenance. I would LIKE to be taken for a nice dinner - maybe at the seafood place up the street we keep meaning to try, and then presented with a small but pretty piece of jewelry. Perhaps a watch. And, of course, the obligatory perverted card. That man has a one-track mind.

Well - I am down to 183lbs this AM. I'm glad I decided to re-weigh on Wednesday after my boozy indiscretion this past weekend. I may need to cut out liquor again. I did for the first year of weight loss, and it was VERY helpful. I have a job!!!! So I will begin this Friday and then next week, and I'll have to modify my meal plans and exercise habits. I am hoping that shortly, we'll have the funds for us to join the local Y, and I'll hop on the cardio machines there two or three times a week. We'll hike or walk on the weekend, and I'll still do yoga and/or weights in the AMs before work - but probably only about 30 minutes or 40 minutes max. I am excited - being at work will help me really structure my eating. I am THAT lazy - I won't go looking for food if I'm not at home, bored, so I'll only be eating what I bring. I'm at 1550 calories on average, daily, now, and am losing about a pound to a pound and a half weekly. I think that I'll ride the 1550 until weight loss stops for a couple weeks, and then I'll drop down and hopefully, at that point, be ready to amp up the cardio. At that point, the plan, should my body choose to comply, is to just go like gangbusters right down to 160lbs. At that point, I will re-evaluate and see if I want to maintain, or if I want to go further. If I get to 160 quickly, I would consider going to 150lbs. I plan on being at 160lbs maximum by June. YEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

Ladies - bigs hugs and dancing carrots to every single one of you!! You're all so supportive, and it's appreciated!!
