Please don't flog me with a wet noodle - can't take anymore carbs!!!

Back on track today and ready to get 'er done!

Aud, one day does not need to define your week! Good job with getting right back on track. You can do this! Go Aud!

Things are not going well this week. It may be my exempt week. I was only off program Sunday, and even then, not by much. Not sure what is going on, but it would be my luck to hit a plateau during all of this.

Upping my water and sticking to the exercise challenge. Maybe I can turn this thing around, but so far, this week I am up .2. Grrr

Either choose from home or buy new ones but find yourself a pretty coffee cup (to eat desserts or diced fruits, etc), a baby spoon (Lord knows I have plenty of those here, LOL.), and a small bowl and a salad plate. These are yours and only yours. Use them when you eat anything at all.

I use a very small coffee cup for cold cereal. It measure them slightly smaller than 1 cup.

Hi all - Just popping in to report that my proud moment was getting my butt to the doctor, as scary as it was. I'm being tested in a few days for diabetes, thyroid disorders and anemia, so we'll see what happens. Bleh.

aud - One day is just ONE day. You are doing great!!

Evening all~
Had an okay day. I only got in a 30 min walk this morning as my shins killed me. I stopped and stretched but it didn't help this morning. Other than that, eating and water are on track.
I came on the other night after the biggest loser, but no one was in our chat. I also checked out the live chat on nbc.com, that was okay. I was really surprised this week at the contestants and their losses. More realistic this time around.
Charity ~ I'll join you on the pushup/crunches challenge. I can use a little extra oomph.
Sound like everyone is doing well. Aud and Onthetee, don't let one day ruin your week. Tee, do you weigh everyday? I quit doing that as it drove me nuts. I will weigh on Fridays to keep me in check over the weekend as Mondays are my WW weigh ins.
Practice~ keeping positive thoughts for you on your test results. for going to the doctor!

Well I better get off the computer and go spend time with the family. Have a wonderful evening. I'll talk to ya'll in the morning.

I have to at this stage or I lie to myself. As I am closer to my goal and the bigger numbers have tapered off, I often accept 'scale creep'. If I went week-to-week, and was up, I would make excuses. "Water, salt, wine, lack of sleep, lack of pooping, negligence." Anything rather than saying, "Wow, that is a big ol' pound of fat you have there." And then four weeks later, I am up five pounds and seem surprised at how I got there. Daily weighing keeps me from being stupid and untruthful.

The good news is that I put a lot of liquid into my body today, and the effects have been noticeable. Tons of fiber and not enough water...never good. I won't make that mistake again.

hey ladies,
it's been a really busy week for me at work so i haven't had too much time to check in, but i'm doing well this week. OP for 4 days, perfect with food, but haven't gotten much exercise due to lots of work hours, but i plan on making up for it this weekend.
have a good night everyone!

Onthetee, hang in there. The scales will probably catch up with your efforts soon. Are you measuring? Sometimes, I'm dropping inches when the scales get stuck for a bit. I do understand. The scales also aren't being too friendly to me this week.

Today is one of my stressful days. I'm behind on a project that’s due on Tuesday. Looks like I may have to put in some work time tomorrow, too. Yuck! Our upstairs air conditioner quit working...and this is a brand new house that we've only lived in for 3 months....can you believe it?! And, the builder never returned my calls yesterday....argghhh! Today is Hubby's birthday. We are taking him to dinner tonight. I've tried to get him to tell me where he wants to go so I can plan ahead for staying on-plan, but he hasn’t given me an answer yet....another argghhh! Then, my Mom-in-law bakes a cake for him yesterday....and, she's baking another one today?!...and brings it into our house and leaves it in the kitchen....why?! I've tried to tell her that Hubby and I are both back to working out and staying on-plan. She thinks that she is being nice and thoughtful. I disagree! I wish I could throw the cakes in the trash….but, I don’t think that would go over very well. And....the stupid scales are showing a slight gain despite the fact that I've stayed on-plan. In my head, I know that it’s probably water weight from getting back on the treadmill this week and using muscles that haven’t been getting used much lately. But, my heart is a little frustrated. As you can see, I'm a bit stressed today, but I refuse to use the kitchen as comfort! I have planned my breakfast, lunch and snacks...and I will eat the best dinner possible. Hopefully, the scales will get friendly on Monday.

Good morning ladies! Well the past few days have not been good for me. TOM is due and that means my eating is insane. I don't know what I am going to do about this. I struggle with it every month and it always gets me down and then I just sort of give up for the week. I skipped my exercise on Wednesday and ate like **** all day. Yesterday was better and I did make it a point to get my 4.5 mile walk in so at least that was a positive. I just don't understand why my eating is so extreme during this time. I mean I hear people say they have a craving for sweets or salty foods, but I want both and a lot of it! I am just going to continue working on it and hopefully beat it. I was proud of myself because I had planned on getting a gyro and fries for dinner, but after a 4.5 mile walk I thought that would be insane, so I had a nice bowl of my turkey chili...much healthier! I am hoping if I stay OP for the next few days a gain won't show on my weigh-in. This is just something I am constantly battling and to be honest it is wearing me down! Anyway this weekend we have a baseball game, friends visiting, husband going fishing, and I am grocery shopping for healthy meals. Today I may go check out the town garage sale. I love digging through other peoples junk Well that is all for me ladies! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Morning team
It's muggy here this morning, blech. But me and my friend got in our walk, it's nicer walking with someone, makes time go by faster.

Aud~ Glad you're back in your groove.

Rhonda~ breathe sweetie. Everything will work out for ya. Didn't that cake some how fall on the floor?

Tina~ I'm the same way around ttotm. I do a lot of self talking, it helps me stay in control a bit better. Keeping hershey kisses in the freezer helps too. I suck on one or two and it helps with the chocolate craving and for the salty I have about 5 or 6 low sodium saltines with a wedge of laughing cow cheese. on making a better choice for dinner.

Denice ~ good to see you!!!

Well gotta go do some domestic goddess duties. Have an fabulous Friday and I'll be back later!!

Morning Ladies!

I just woke up from a secret power nap so I'm feeling better! I think going to school at night and then trying to come home and do stuff is really wearing on me. Ah well! my young bones can take it a few more years!

Can you believe that next week is the last week of September already?! Where has this month gone?

Well not much to report. I'm weighing in tomorrow and I hope a lot of you are weighing in too cause my chart is empty! I liked how we all weighed in early last week so I got results up early. Hopefully I'm down more than .2 pounds!

It looks like we are all having problems with cravings and munchies. (I had munchie issues last night! ) So I have devised a plan to help you curb your munchies! A CONFESSIONAL! I hope the Black Team doesn't steal this one.... I like having my own original stuff.

Here it is!

Did I eat my daily food maximum?

If I was going to snack... what would I have?

If I was going to snack... how much could I have?

Would I be able to willingly stop snacking?

(If you answered yes) How would I stop myself from snacking?

What am I craving?

What just happened 10 minutes or less before I had this craving?

Was it something that happened earlier in the day?

What else could I be doing instead of eating?

How is this craving going to effect my goals for the week, month, year?

I think if you can pull yourself away from the kitchen for about 5 minutes to answer this (in our chat thread of course) and you're honest, it's going to help. It's like the concept of "do something else for a minute then the cravings go away" but I'm actually giving you something to do!

I'm waiting for this thread to be filled with confessionals from all of you that are having a hard week!

TTYL

'Mornin All!

Not feeling real 'ing chipper, so thought I'd emoticon-myself in the greeting for a mood change!

Good news/Bad news: I got pulled over last night and didn't get a ticket!

My drivers license expired in December '06!

Glugging some coffee down and off to take the 'ing drivers test.

OK the emoticons have done their job - I'm feeling centered now.

I just had a bunch of blood work done too pliving - forgot to talk about my thyroid tho' dangit! Two female relatives just got diagnosed with underactive and wanted to hang my hat on that diagnosis for my weight problems. Hope you'll let us know your results.

Good luck with your project GirlyGirlS - I've got one to do over the weekend - minus the "Baked By Mom Birthday Cake Temptation" - Good Luck with that too! Maybe chellez's Confessional Idea will help with that? I've often come to 3fc to stop myself from a late night snack-a-thon - Gotta remember that the questionnaire is on pg 17 of Our Chat.

Hormones are wrecking me here in Menopause Land tina-I do remember having the same symptoms you describe but never was successful in fighting them down on a consistent basis.

I'm w/i tonight - then gonna compare it to the Y scale tomorrow - gonna take whichever one is the best and Post early.

Off to the test - will never live it down if I flunk the dayung thing!

Thanks for the support everyone. It's looking like I can get into the lab tomorrow morning for the tests, which means I should have a verdict by the middle of next week. This hasn't been a great week, exercise and nutrition-wise. It feels like all my energy and brainpower is going into worrying about my health.

Cathy - good on ya with the walking! It is SO much easier with a friend, isn't it?

Tina - TOM really is "the curse" sometimes, isn't it? This month was the first time in ages that I haven't wanted to eat everything in sight during TOM. Good for you for getting your walk in, and making a plan for the weekend.

onthetee - I'm the same way with the daily weigh-ins. It's just a little reminder at the beginning of my day about what I'm doing, which makes it all go a little smoother for me.

chellez - love the confessional idea, and I'm sure I'll make use of it this weekend.

aud - hope your day improves! Good luck with the driving test.
