  • I was responding to chellez' distress, soulb - beyond time to move on, right?
Quote: . . . I've spent the majority of the day on this topic and its stressing me out and that's not my goal in any of this . . .
Think I forgot to record TBL - so bummed out here in The Wee Hours.

CAN report that I am swilling water . . . exercising like a demon AND eating totally OP!

    GO BLUE!
  • Morning all. Just finished watching TBL this morning (yay for DVR!) My allergies are back with a vengence this week so I've been going to bed a bit earlier than usual, including last night. I watched until the weigh-ins were complete, then went to bed. I can't believe Lezlye got voted off! I think Amy (is that her name?) who walked off from the last-chance workout should be going home, not Lezlye. But it looks like she did well for herself losing 55 pounds after she left, so maybe it was a good thing for her. Still, I don't get the strategy of voting her off - I say vote off the people who can't hang with it like Amber last week. And it pisses me off how Amy first went to Lezlye and said they needed to stick together like they were good friends or something, and then told David to vote her off. That's another reason I wish she had gone home - back stabber!

So, I found out I have to travel to NJ on Sunday night for work. I'm not very happy about it because I've never been, I'm not really sure what I'll be doing when I get up there, and I might be going by myself. I was asked about it like a month ago and it was never brought up again by HR, but all of a sudden yesterday I was asked if I could go from Sunday night through Wednesday. I'm not really feeling well to be traveling because of my allergies, but I decided to suck it up and go. It's going to be hard to stay OP while working at some weird place for 3 days and staying in a hotel where I don't know if they have a gym but I will try to do my best to stay OP for me and the team! Well, off to get ready for work. Have a lovely day ladies.
  • Good morning, Everyone.

I stayed up late last night to watch Biggest Loser and the finale to Big Brother. Boy, I am sooooo tired! My goal for tonight...and every night for now on...is to get to bed by 10:30. It is so much easier to stay on-plan and exercising when I'm well rested..not that I'm making excuses. I will stay on-plan today and I will exercise. My goal is to lose more than 2 pounds this week. Speaking of two pounds, there were a lot of little losses last night, huh? I don't believe I've ever seen the contestants lose so little at a weigh-in. Now, I don't feel so bad about my 2 pound loss for last week. NoVaVTFan, I have to disagree about them voting Lezlye off. At the stair challenge, she was picked to sit out of the challenge because she "didnt want to do it." What?! What kind of team mate is that? Then, she was giving her trainer a hard time and not giving 100% effort. Granted, she didnt have Bob or Jillian, but she was given this awesome opportunity and she blew it. Just my two cents.

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day.
  • Quote: Would anyone post if I created a Blue Team "What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?" thread?
I was going to post this last night before you made the thread but isn't that something we can keep within the Blue Team Chat thread.

I know the Jillians girls post on this forum a lot too and I feel like with now 3 teams we are kind of pushing our size around a bit much and taking over the forum. Just a suggestion!

I'm all for the concept... just the location I'm concerned with personally.
  • We could do it in our thread here, Chelle. Sounds good. It'll help keep our thread moving at a good pace too. Aud, I think you can go on NBC.com (is that what TBL comes on?? LOL.) Anyhoo, when my dvr didn't tape all of BB8 this year because of some game or something going over in time, I'd get online and watch the whole show on my puter. Check and see if you can do that for TBL.

Hmm.. Dunno when I'll be back for today so Imma say my proud thing now.

I'm proud today because I was super tired when I woke up after staying up late like Rhonda (u have the 'h' in ur name, right?) and watching all the shows, but I still am getting in some exercise early and eating OP today. I might not want to, but since I want to get in shape I have to! It feels good to keep myself disciplined about it all too.

    My tip for today:

Either choose from home or buy new ones but find yourself a pretty coffee cup (to eat desserts or diced fruits, etc), a baby spoon (Lord knows I have plenty of those here, LOL.), and a small bowl and a salad plate. These are yours and only yours. Use them when you eat anything at all.

I love mine because my mom gave me a really pretty cup, my spoon is my son's silver baby spoon with his name and bday on it, my plate is a pink Tweety scene and so is my bowl. And everyone knows they are mine.

Keep them clean and easy to reach and use one even if you are only having 17 baked cheetohs (34 are 130 cals and low fat) I usually only want 17 so 65 cals . Don't eat from the bag! It's horrible for portion control. The other day I ate a cup of garlic mashed potatoes from mine with my baby spoon. (320 cals, not bad on fat, use 2% milk and lowfat margarine to make it even lower. 320 is a bit high but if you have a craving you have to eat some or u could binge on it later. Just account for it if you really want something, eat a salad and fruit for the next meal.) Took forever to eat the taters with the tiny spoon, I ate slower and that cup filled me up when I used to eat 3 cups with no problem. It really helps to make eating enjoyable when you take time to sit down and eat slowly. Helps with digestion too. Ok I'll stop typing for now. LOL.

    Have a great day everyone!!!

Keep your dreams alive. Focus your thinking and make a bulletin board or a notebook into a goal keeper. Gather pictures, make drawings or take photographs of what you've envisioned for yourself. Keep these reminders where you can see them daily, so the images stay fresh in your mind
  • Hello everyone! I am trying to get over a cold and hoping that I will be able to get back to exercising soon! I am so glad it is starting to get a little cooler - it is so much easier to run outside when it isn't so hot!!!

I was thinking of challenging myself to do crunches and pushups each day. Anyone want to join me?

    Charity
  • chellez - I hear you, and I admit I didn't really think about that. I was a keener and made the thread last night before heading to bed, but if we'd all be happier doing it here and deleting/abandoning the thread I made, I'm a-okay with that!

Charity - I keep meaning to challenge myself with pushups, so I'd be up to do that with you!
  • Hi ladies! Not much to report! The kids get out early today so trying to fit in all my chores before they get home! Have a great day!
  • I am proud today because instead of having a second sandwich for lunch, I put the bread away and grabbed a handfull of baby carrots...which I am munching as I type!!
Got up this morning to have another go at my new Biggest Loser DVD. I have to say that it is nice to do a work-out with regular looking people, instead of the fit and smiling people on other DVD's. I love my Turbo Jam work-outs, but I needed to 'mix it up' a bit. It is a tough work-out!
Keep having a great day Blue team!!
  • So glad you brought up abs, Charity. I've got the upper and lower body alternating on weights . . . and have kicked up my cardio-walking quite a bit so my core feels strengthened and mentioned that I'm even starting to notice that I have a LAP again . . . but I think I've woefully neglected my nearly non-existent ab muscles with this routine. Not quite ready -due to schedule change tonight - to take you up on a challenge - but its something I'm going to consider and must do at some point.

Just woke up - overslept again so too incoherent and time strapped for personals - OY VEY! So a quick THANKS for the nbc tip and also use some of my great gran's exquisite china that is only for me . . . my "day" starts at "night" so what I'm most proud of yesterday was tripling my power walk.

Don't forget to get in LOTS of coooolll clear WATER today, Blue-Babes! (Only water-related emoticon I could find!) I'm sipping my first 44 ouncer as I type.
  • Good Morning!

Going to get on treadmill for a few now. Then cleaning house, doing some paperwork and then the kids will be almost home. Have to bathe all 3 babies today too. Whew!

Have a great day! I'm on day 26 OP! Woohoo!

    Hugssss!!!
  • Good morning, Everyone. Soon2BFitChick, 26 days?! Wow, you rock!

I so very happy to report that I slept soundly all night long and am feeling very well rested this morning! Maybe it was my 60 minutes on the treadmill yesterday....yep, I finally got back on track with the exercise. Or, maybe it was going to church last night. I've been ignoring the spiritual part of good health lately and it felt great to have the family in church again.

Has anybody watched the 'How to Be Slim' episode of 'The Truth About Food' series on Discovery Health? The show was very interesting. Many of us already do what they said...exercise, eat low fat dairy, eat protein and keep a food journal. Now, I havent been doing all of this...I eat low-fat dairy and protein, but I've not been keeping a food journal or exercising every day. My goal for today: Another hour on the treadmill and start tracking my calories again.

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day.

Hi Blue team - I'm actually on the Black team, but I'm also nosey!

I just wanted to say I agree with you 100%... I finally got my BL workout DVD and I felt so much better about working out with them (and of course with Bob... my new personal trainer...teehee ) than trying to work out with DVDs of people with 6, 8 and 12 packs!
    Good luck Blue team!
  • Morning Ladies!

I'm sorry that I've been MIA lately! I just wanted a few days away so I could clear my head and really just de-stress. I made a point to write down all my bills and debts yesterday and I realized I really need to get working on that! I told Daniel this morning I'm considering getting a second job so I can work Friday thru Sunday and have some extra money to pay bills with. I really think I need it but he's stressing that it's not worth the money for the time. (He also wants me home at least one night a week!) It's just really hard with the money I make at this job to catchup on all the things I need to I guess.

I hopped on the scale this morningat home just to check my progress and I went down a half a pound! At least I'm on the right track! I hopefully can pull together some exercise tomorrow evening when I get home so I can be really fit for my weigh in Saturday morning!

I'm really proud of myself today because: It's almost lunch time and I've drank my entire requirement of water for the day and I packed my entire healthy lunch!

Well I gotta run! Things to do before lunch time!
