Aud, I hope things seem easier for you today. I have those chaotic days and seems like nothing is going to go right. It will be better soon!

Chelle, ok, let us know what date this all will end. Will there be another one is January or something? I know people who want in. It might be a big one since so many wanted in on this one too.

Utah! You are coming back home! Goody for you, I bet you are sooooo excited!! I think I'd miss home alot. I already do. I'm from the Beaumont area in Southeast TX and I live in Houston now. Been here a long time now though. Since 1998. Still not used to the horrible traffic but oh well. That's life. Hope you have an easy and safe trip!

How is everyone else doing? Some of you aren't writing much lately. Tell us what's going on with you all. I miss everyone!

I know I'm writing alot but I gotta write it all now when I have the time to!

Here is today's positive tip on the Dr. Peale site:

Replace hate and anger in your life. Anger and hate have become common usage in our physical and verbal vocabularies. We express these negative emotions without really thinking about them. Subconsciously, they trigger unhealthy attitudes in our bodies so that we can't function at our best.

To change the way you think, you've got to be conscious of what you're saying. Instead of, "I hate that color green," say, "That's not my favorite." Instead of, "I'm so mad I missed that sale," say, "It's really a shame I missed it." Wash the negative emotions out of your mind.

You'll immediately begin to feel a new peace come over you - a peace that will trigger healthful attitudes.

Bye for now! Hugs!

I would not even let that stuff in the house. If mama doesn't have coffee, NO ONE has a good day here. Once I discovered caffeinated parenting, out lives improved significantly.

Decaffeinated? Not in this house!

Well team...I did not think that I was going to be able to report a loss this week but I just got on the scale and I am down by 1.2 pounds! Well let's all get our weights in and leave Red Team in the dust like we did last week!

So I just wanted to show you guys what this site has helped me do in the last month. These are two pictures of me in the same pair of pants. The first one was taken on the 31 of August and the second pic was taken today! Hopefully next month these pants will be too big on me!

That's amazing Utahgirl!! I don't take many pictures of myself...I'm the one that takes all the photos, so I don't have many to compare. My dh did take some shots of me playing tennis (trying more like it), and while I still look really big, I can see a difference in my body shape. I also have a pair of jeans that fit at the begining of the summer that are very baggy in the belly and bum areas. It's and good feeling!! Congrats again!

Afternoon ladies!

Well I just got home from going to my parents house so I missed my meeting today. I'll probably use a freebie week this week cause I'm 99.9% sure I gained. Coffee and fast food nightmares I tell you!

I have to get cleaning the apartment but I just wanted to drop in and say good luck to all of you weekend weighers!

PS: Great Job Barbara!

Hello Everyone. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

I stayed 100% on-plan yestereday and walked on the treadmill for 60 minutes yesterday. My plan is to have another 100% on-plan day today and another 60 minutes on the treadmill. So far, the scales are looking very promising for weigh-in on Monday. The day is absolutely gorgeous here today. The sun is shining and there's not a cloud in the sky. I really need to clean house, but I also would love to get out of here for a while. Mmmmmm... maybe I can do a bit of both?

Utahgirl, your pictures really show a big difference! I wish I could lose some tummy, too. Unfortunately, that seems to be the last place my body want to lose.

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day.

Good afternoon all. Thought I would check in while watching football. This week has been terribly off for me. I was in NJ from Sunday to Wednesday for a business trip, and I was off for the whole 3 days and haven't been completely on since I got back, but I've been better. I weighed myself Thursday morning to see what I had gained while gone, but it said I was down a pound - I won't believe it though until I weigh in Monday for my formal weight. If I did lose a pound I will be totally surprised though.

I was hoping to get some suggestions about breakfast - I am on the WW diet (doing it freebie at home by following the plan and counting points) and right I'm at 22 points daily. If I lose 4 more pounds I will be down to 20 points. I usually eat breakfast around 6:30, and it's usually an English muffin, toast, or cereal. I always have a morning snack of fruit around 10-10:30. I am finding that I am really really hungry in the morning lately even though I am eating a snack. I've heard that eating protein in the morning can help keep hunger away, but does anyone know if that's true? It is already really hard for me to keep within the 22 points I'm alloted daily, and when I have to go down 2 more points I'm thinking I might be feeling even more hungry. If anyone has any suggestions for a breakfast that will keep me feeling more full for longer I would really appreciate it. Thanks ladies!

Its been a 2nd crazy week in a row for me, I have an art exhibit opening tonight, so the week leading up to them are always insane. I unfortunately had a bit of a binge last night at my friends house after our dance class, I'm sad that I let myself get that out of control, but I'm back OP today (for now until the catering tonight tries to tempt me!). i did have a great NSV yesterday though, I was preparing a giant cheese and cracker tray for the reception tonight and usually eat as much cheese as i feel like while I'm cubing it, and didn't eat a single bite. Anyway, damn social eating will be my demise.

Utah - you are doing an amazing job! Lots of inches gone this month yea!

Selina – thanks for the continuing positive quotes, I enjoy them and try and think about them after I walk away from the computer. Hows the family today?

Rhonda – I’d say get out of the house and enjoy that beautiful day! You can always clean during the winter, right?

NoVa- maybe cook an egg in pam cooking spray to put on your english muffin, it adds 2 more pts. but lots of protein, plus you get to feel like you just ate an egg mc muffin.

If you have not already, I would switch to a whole wheat English muffin. More fiber (better WW point value), less hunger.

When I have a high-carb breakfast, like oats, I always do 3 T of liquid egg whites, fried with cooking spray. It is only 25 cals. You could do the whole wheat muffin with the egg whites and some high-fiber fruit like berries or a small apple.

Trader Joe's (also Wellshire) uncured turkey bacon in only 20 cals. Lots of protein.

Also, if you increase your fiber, your water will stay with you a little longer to make you feel fuller.

HTH!

Yes, this is true. I believe this was also one of the weight loss tips on Dr. Oz's series "The Truth About Food" on Discovery Health. I eat some type of protein with every meal and snack and I've never experienced true hunger since starting my plan. Now, I have experienced cravings, but thats a whole other story!

Hi everyone. Today is day 36 OP. Wish it was showing on the scale. How can I be at a plateau or something already?? It's just weird. I'm trying not to get discouraged. But when I am eating totally healthy food at Waffle House with my family and friends, when no one else did, I think I should at least lose a half pound in one week of this!!!! I'm talking salad with Italian, fat free with 10 cals for the whole pack of it, and it's not my favorite but hte only one they had fat free, and grilled chicken breast with half of my plain hashbrowns, 1/2 of my pc of Texas toast, and tea with sw and low when they were all having chili, eggs, bacon, sausage, coke, and dr. pepper, hashbrowns with cheese, etc and waffles with nuts and syrup. I think I did very well. But why aren't I losing something!!!!!!

Sometimes I almost don't want to go anywhere with anyone. I feel alone in this every day. No one else around me is working out every day and eating differently every day. I bring a book so I don't want to keep eating when they all do. I do things to help me stop eating too much. I'm working on it hard! I'm trying to keep my eye on the ball and focus. How do you all stay focused, even when you have few near you who do? I have a great friend who is also losing but doesn't have to eat as few cals as I do. But I don't see her in person often. We've both lost lots b4. She marvels at my low count but she loses at higher numbers. I wish I did!!!

Anyhoo, have a great day!! Feeling sleepy, might make some coffee now.

(Haven't had much time to get online, between giving them their breathing treatments (denice, thanks for asking, they are the same. doc appt tomorrow tho. ) and decorating our yard for Halloween. We love it. Put out tons of headstones, etc, skeletons coming out of the ground, a dead pirate, Frankenstein's head and hands coming up , and his name on his own headstone. Can't wait til Halloween! So fun with all the kids!
