Cathy, sometimes there's a fluctuation in weight even when you are doing EVERYTHING right! Don't beat yourself up about it. Looking at the bigger picture, it doesn't mean anything in terms of your personal weight loss success and health!

BAM! We had another VERY close week, Blues! Good job this week! We won even with all the slip-ups. I know the Red Team's going to be bringin' their A-Game next week so they can beat us--so we need to kick it up a notch!

Go team!

I really think exercise is the key. I have been getting up super early (not an easy task for me) and walking in my neighborhood for half and hour every morning. It really sets the tone for the day and I eat so much better because I don't want to loose the good feeling or feel like I wasted my time when I was exercising.

Ok ladies! We are in a great lead for the exercise challenge so we need to step things up and start thinking about where we want to fly next!

I'm thinking Aruba!

I'll take a few more ideas then we can vote so we can have our choice ready when its time!

woo-hoo BLUES!

6 pounds is AWESOME soulB! I'm needing a whoooosh like that for my psychological state. Think you're needing a "whooosh" too cats! I feel your w/i pain, Girl - hang in there, kay?

Have you ever had your ears candled GGirlS? My dh is a lifelong sinus sufferer - we got an ear candling kit at the artsy fartsy festival Saturday and you would not BELIEVE the yucky stuff that the candle got out! BLEEECH! dh swears that all the pressure has left his face/head - along with the ever present headache. Good luck with the report - the one I was working on is no longer due - one positive thing about the strike?

Talking

YAY! We won...woooohoo!!!!

So far so good today all, 2/3 of my steps out of the way this a.m. (Forced myself. I read somewhere that if you are sick from the stomach and below, don't walk. If it's chest up, then make yourself do it!) Head killing me, sneezing, coughing, taking meds but they don't help today. 5 kids sick too. Husband is sick. This will be day 31 OP. Can't taste much so should be easy-smeesy!

Have a great day! Let's run right pass them next week too! (I doubt I lose 6.5 or 4.5 again but I plan on something off.

How to Live Less Stressfully

Adapted from Loving and Leaving the Good
Life, by Helen Nearing (Chelsea Green, 1993).

The great pioneer of simple living, Helen
Nearing, offers eleven wonderfully wise tips for
living not only a less stressful life, but for
living in a more connected and organic way.

Her tips really work: she lived to be 91, and her
husband Scott to be 100. Find out the simple
principles for Living the Good Life, right here:

1. Do the best you can, whatever arises.

2. Be at peace with yourself.

3. Find a job you enjoy.

4. Live in simple conditions; housing, food,
clothing; get rid of clutter.

5. Contact nature every day; feel the earth under
your feet.

6. Take physical exercise through hard work;
through gardening or walking.

7. Don't worry; live one day at a time.

8. Share something every day with someone else; if
you live alone, write
someone; give something away; help someone else
somehow.

9. Take time to wonder at life and the world; see
some humor in life where
you can.

10. Observe the one life in all things.

11. Be kind to the creatures.

Good morning, Blue Team! Where is everyone? We're getting a bit thin here on our thread.

Well, its a brand new day and another chance to get back on-plan. Yep, I'm struggling yet again. When I stay on-plan, the weight just doesn't come off as quickly as I'd like. Some weeks, I may have a 1 to 2 pound loss and then nothing for a couple of weeks. I just get so aggravated. I so want to lose all of this weight and its taking me so long. Sometimes, its just that my body won't let it go and sometimes I just let myself go off-plan...its the same crazy roller coaster over and over again! I've been in the 230's forever! Last night, I was watching the Biggest Loser and I got motivated again. I had to have a long "talk" with myself. I can stay fat and feeling sorry for myself...or I can do whatever it takes to lose the weight no matter how long it takes. Ultimately, its my choice. So, I'm doing my daily morning re-commit and I'll tackle each day as it comes.

Good morning everyone,

Congratulations to everybody ! Well I can finally say I see the light and my sciatica is finally dimenishing. I have been going for massage therapy, so I finally got the go ahead to start exercising so that means I will start immediately contributing. Aruba sounds awesome. I will exercise tonight and enter my time once you decide the destination. I am so sorry I have not been able to help as of yet...but watch out because I'm ready to do this now! As far as eating, I am on plan and my clothes are feeling looser although the scale didn't show much of a change , funny thing my clothes feel so much better. Well I have to run off to work now, but I will check in later today...hope everybody has a wonderful day.

Just popping in real quick to say Good Morning! I'm going on a fieldtrip with Lane's class. We'll be walking nature trails and canoeing. Should be a blast!! Got a good lunch packed for us and big bottles of water. I'll check in later this afternoon.
Oh, last night show was pretty interesting weight loss wise. I guess I'll wait til later and the other thread to discuss it.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!!!!
