Wow, Chelle! That is great. I hope you will created many, beautiful memories there.

The couth to 5K program is great. I have been running three miles for a few months now. I did a 2.6 mile run on Thanksgiving and this weekend, I am doing a 5K (3.1 miles). In January, I am going to start the One Hour Runner program and try to get up to 5 miles by March and walk/run a half marathon in May.

Dea - I'm so sorry to hear about Mia.

Got home about midnight last night. Just spent the last three days in the Twin Cities of Minnesota for training. I must apologize to you, Blue Team. I was running late on Monday and ran out of time to post my weigh-in (I maintained) and to let everyone know that I wasnt going to be posting for a few days. The class was tough, but the evenings were fun. Each night, we went to dinner and had one or two drinks. No, I didn't stay on-plan. Maybe I shouldnt say this, but I'm not feeling very guilty. I never ever go out of town or hang out with friends. Since I'm a full-time telecommuter for my employer, I hardly ever leave the house. I guess I just felt entitled to "let my hair down" and enjoy myself. Watching what I ate and drinking water just wasn't my idea of a good time. Of course, I'm now paying for my lack of discipline from this week and in the previous weeks. My jeans are getting uncomfortably tight in the waste.

Now that all trips are out of my way for a while, I plan on getting back on the treadmill. I've been holding off as I didnt want to hurt my knees before I had to do a lot of walking around airports, amusement parks, etc. I know that working out will have the added benefit of helping me get back on-plan. Afterall, who wants to expend all of that effort, then blow it all on something full of sugar and calories....and very very brief pleasure?!

The next challenge is mine! I own it......but, I welcome all fellow contenders! I intend to be 100% committed and post some big numbers! I'll still be posting here with you all, if you don't mind. I may have been "eliminated" but, I still feel like part of the blue team.

Go Blue!

Sebas - I think it is 100% ok that you enjoyed yourself food wise while you were on your business trip. You mentioned that you work from home, you don't get to hang out with friends a lot or go out, so I agree that it was a good opportunity to let your hair down. The thing I've found that helps me the most along my weight loss journey this year is that if you don't just eat the foods you enjoy (be it rarely not a weekly affair) then you can go insane. I went on a business trip several months ago and I didn't really stay on plan but I had an enjoyable time because I was able to not think about counting points for once. As long as you get back on track after you get home, and the off plan times aren't every few days or every week, I think it's ok to just enjoy yourself.

How is everyone else doing? I've been working really hard this week to stay on plan because I want to get back to my pre-Thanksgiving weight. I was going to wait until Monday to weigh myself, but I stepped on the scale this morning to get a sense if my on-plan eating and exercising this week have helped. My crazy scale tells me I'm 2 pounds down from Monday, and back to my pre-Thanksgiving weight. This is going to be a tough weekend to stay on-plan, but I intend to work as hard as possible to do it so I have a good weigh-in on Monday.

My birthday is this Sunday, and I was thinking it was going to be a "I'm going to eat whatever I want for dinner" at Cheesecake factory, but I began thinking about it, and these kind of Sunday dinners just kill my weigh-ins for Monday. Plus, I have a lot of opportunities this month to eat "whatever I want" so I've decided to eat as much on plan for my birthday with one of my favorite recipes from my "Cooking Light" Cookbook and eat at home with my fiance, and maybe watch a good movie. I have my company christmas party next week, and I think the food there will be pretty good, so I will taste a little of whatever I want there, but I don't need to do that for my birthday - Cheesecake factory really isn't that fabulous, plus I went to Ruth's Chris last weekend, and that WAS fabulous. I know that I am going to go off plan at least for my company christmas party and probably for christmas eve dinner, but other than that, I don't see a reason to go off any other days. I want to work hard to get to 145 and stay that for the end of the year, and I am getting pretty determined to do it since I've had 4 on plan days in a row so far.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Hi. Gotta hurry, about to take babies for their checkups!

Just wanted to say it's soooo aggravating to be at TTOM and it is our last week!! AARRGGHH!!! I was up 3 lbs from it but started yesterday and this a.m I am back to 204.5. I'm really hoping the scale shows some loss by Monday! Going nuts!

Anyhoo, hope you all have a great OP day and I'm hoping these awful cramps subside at some point. It really gets worse for me as I get older. Uggh. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!!! (2 of my friends say the same thing. )

So glad to have you back Rhonda!!! No worries about eating what you want! I do it all the time this time around bc I hate feeling deprived. (I still count it bc i'm obsessed with not going over, prolly not good to do every single day but working for me for now.) Felt good to have a burger yesterday.

Nova, Happy Birthday early!!! We share it! Mine is Sunday too! Dec. 9th. I'll be 34. So weird, I think of my mom as that age. But alas now she is 55 and I'm in her spot! LOL. Just weird. Time flies. I miss her. She's mailing me a birthday gift and dh let it slip. It was an accident. I don't care. I'm seeing her later this month. I thought she'd just wait til then but it's ok by me! I like presents!

Hiya to Anna, Dea, Chelle, Soul, and Aud and everyone else too!!!! Have a great weekend in case I can't post much then. Hugs! Selina

Thanks SoulBliss! I feel good this weekend knowing that I am 40 pounds lighter this birthday than last.

I just finished the WATP 4 mile Super Challenge. I didn't sweat as much as I thought I would but it was still a good workout. Just wanted to check in before getting a shower and heading to Target and then the supermarket. I've decided to eat in for my meals this weekend so I can stay completely on plan (plus most food at restaurants around me tastes the same and I prefer the food that I make for myself at home). I am so determined to see at least a little bit of loss this week. I want to finish strong, even if I am not quite at the goal I set for myself at the beginning (145). I am pretty close, and it's been really slow, but at least it's still coming off.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. And happy birthday Selina!

Happy Birthday, Nova and Selina!

Well, Blues...its a truly sad day. This challenge is over.

Although I didn't lose tons of weight like I imagined I would at the beginning of this challenge, I have managed to get to know a lot of great people here on 3FC. The support and encouragement is much appreciated and I don't want to give it up! So, anybody gonna stick around with me and keep posting until the next challenge begins? We have a 5 week interlude. Who wants to rock this 5 weeks with me? Betcha we could lose some serious poundage and start the new year on the right foot.

Happy belated birthday, NoVa and Selina!! Hope you two had great birthdays.

Rhonda - I'm totally in for busting out the next 5 weeks!

Today I started Best Life Diet, and I'm stoked... just a little nervous because now I can't weigh myself for FOUR WEEKS. I have feeling I will cheat and weigh myself a few times... but I'm determined to stick to eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a snack every day, cutting out the alcohol (except for passes on Xmas and NYE), and moving my butt more!

It's been so great to get to know you all! I hope to see you all in the next challenge, even if we're not on the same teams. I have been so inspired by all of you - whether it be about weight loss, exercise, or just figuring out our crazy minds! Thanks to you all.

I've gotta jet and finish the LAST paper of my undergrad - yahoooo!

Afternoon Ladies!

Well I have to agree that I didn't lose like I had wanted to for this challenge, but I'm hoping that after this nasty holiday season and the move in January that I'll be back on track. I'm planning on taking any Christmas money i get and buy me a treadmill. I've already requested to the school that I take online classes next term so I can focus on getting my exercise and eating habits under control.

I'll probably close this thread, so just mosey on over to the ongoing chat thread diva created.
