Well, considering that I definitely won't be at goal by the end of this competition, I have absolutely no problem with extending everything for a week. I do love me some good ole' friendly competition!
"WOW, I'm glad we're not in the blue/red team challenge.. they are def. following by the "rules" and getting a lil bent outta shape over there. I'm just glad we're here for each other for support, not so much for "competition"." - black team member
We may have issues with rules but at least we have a consistent amount of people on each team and the majority of us can meet deadlines at the right time so we don't have to make a completely different team and challenge to accomidate.
being a mom (as I am sure some of you are too), I can appreciate the value of consistancy! It is the only solution..although sometimes not the easiest.
I am enjoying being part of a team! Weight loss is often an individual 'sport', so the support, encouragement, and the competitiveness all work together as a great motivator for me. We'll get them next week blue!
Please keep the rules here! It's no good if we don't. I don't care what anybody says about it. Just keep them. We need them!!
Biggest Loser in a few minutes!!!! Woohoo! I am OP today and got in almost all my exercise. Day 24 OP!!! Got started at 7am today marching in place when kids were getting ready. Remember the crazy drill sargent visual?? LOL.
Biggggggggg Hugssssssss to everyone!

Hi everybody,
Congratulations to everybody on the blu and red team...we are all losers! To my blue team mates we all did such a great job win or lose we can't go wrong, to me we are winners as we are chosing to do the right thing. Chellez you are awesome ...thanks for all your hard work ..you rock and thanks to all of you , I'm just glad we're here for each other for support, not so much for competition.
Have a great evening...off to go watch THe Biggest Loser on tv.
Just wanted to update my Blue Beauties! I had a GREAT workout tonight! I went to my cardio kickboxing class, then stayed for the instructor's step and sculpt class (back to back!). I was wearing my heart rate monitor, so I know that in my two hours of ***-whoopin' exercise, I burned 1200 calories! How's that for awesome? The weigh-in this week was too close for comfort so I'm doing my best to kick myself into gear!
I'm enjoying the show so far tonight! Hope you ladies had an awesome day, too!
I'm still running around like a mad woman trying to get everything done that I need to, so I'm going to make this a quick post.
My food for the past couple of days has been just fine and I finally decided yesterday that it was time to put on my big girl panties and WALK to the main campus at school from the parking lot rather than take a shuttle. Given, it's only a couple of blocks, but it's still more exercise than I was getting. My excuse to ride the shuttle before was that it was so hot and I didn't want to be drenched with sweat when I got to class, but since the weather is cooler for the time being, I no longer had that excuse. I'm pretty proud of myself right now.
For the record, for all I care we can double the number of weeks for the challenge ... I'm not getting to goal anytime soon. Great job Blue Team for doing so well this week with our losses! We ROCK!
Yay, FIBER!!! I eat all the good things you listed too (the vegan ones) and wanted to also add that black beans are VERY high in fiber.
I have tried every way in the world to make myself like beans. Kidney, navy, black....garbonzos are about the only ones that I can eat.
Do you have any suggestions for making black beans edible? My kids eat them, and I am so grateful. They are so freaking good for you, but I just can't choke them down.
chellez - you ROCK for doing all this, girl. Thanks for the heads up about Jillian's blog, too.
diannawva - WTG on your huge loss this week!
Bluezers, we are going to kick butt this coming week. I can feel it!
So, I've removed myself from the exercise challenge because it's just not going to happen this week. I've been having fatigue (and some other symptoms) for the last few months, and this week has been the worst yet. I'm going to the doctor on Thursday to see what's going on, because I am sick of this. I finally have the motivation to change my lifestyle and get back to being an active person, but I don't have the energy! What's up with that!?!?
Also I'm watching the show right now (yay West Coast!) and (as usual) the theme song got me thinking. Would anyone post if I created a Blue Team "What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?" thread?
