Hi Gina!! Ya know, my stiff dried little Christmas tree now looks pretty nice outside, 'cause it's all covered with fresh snow

Was I supposed to take the lights off too?
Hi Harleymom! How are you doing? are you feeling a little more 'up'? I sure hope so.
I ate bad stuff on Super Bowl sunday

but I'm ready to get back on track today.
Jill - are you anywhere near Ocala? My late dad and late great-aunt bought an undeveloped lot in Marion Oaks. We (my bro and sis) have been paying the taxes on it each year (Dad died in 2000). At first we were just overwhelmed with everything else we had to do concerning administering his estate, so the Florida property was never in our minds much. And it was assesed at only $3500 for a half acre lot. So the taxes were like $100 a year.
NOW just 6 years later it's assesed at $18,500. wow! Well, as they say, 'they don't make land anymore'. I want to sit tight and just wait for the price to go up more, cause once we sell it, we split it 3 ways.
My husband is worried that anything might have happened on that lot, that something like squatters are camped on it. I personally don't think that's feasiable, 'cause wouldn't the Neighborhood ***'n. or someone complain if someone is tenting on it, or put up a quickly hammered shack? As far as I know, there are dwellings (either small one-story houses or mobile homes) around it. Or if not on either side of the property, at least on the same street.
anyway, just wondering if you're familiar with that area at all, and what it's like.
Gotta get ready to exercise off the cheese/salsa dip, chips, cheese fondue, pie, etc. !!! here's to renewed self control!!!
