I'm kind of the same as you. I am mostly the passenger on my husband's bike. Although, I do have my own Honda Rebel and just a permit. Sometimes I do just prefer to ride on the back. I can't wait until getting on and off the bike is easier and looking forward to a more comfortable ride as I lose weight.

Su- Hopefully you got to get out for a ride this weekend. It was nice temp wise, but SUPER windy!

Jill- Isn't it so hard to get back on track after a vacation?? I didn't do much over my break, but I sure ate badly. I'm not happy about going back to work, but at least it will get me back on track!

Holly-You did really well even with your tiny slip. Good job! Hope you get the rain to wash off the roads!

I too ride behind my HH (handsome husband)....and am very contented there! I've thought about getting my own bike, but we love to talk as we see things along our journeys and we would truly miss that if we rode separately.

Yes Reb...you're so right ~ I'm having a terrible time getting re-started after vacation.....but today is Monday and I'm always better at getting serious on a Monday, so I'm proclaiming TODAY is THE DAY! Wish me luck!

good morning chicks!! and welcome newfannie

Just got back from my workout at Curves, I really like it there. Now for some phone calls, then get ready for work.

speaking of work, you know my NEMESIS there is all the FOOD (deli/bakery) especially in the afternoon when I'm there alone among the platters of cookies...well...I haven't had a crumb of cookie or muffin or refined stuff like that (except for the unfortunate Froot Loop incident ) for a week!!! It's SO hard to resist, but it's actually getting a little easier each day? like the more I have, the more I crave; but the less I have, I can resist a little more.

Also an inspiration for me is to go back and look at pics, either ones my husband took, or of biker websites, of ladies having fun at rallies. Meaning less clothing and more fun That's something to keep in mind when I want to snack! I have so many 'fun' rally clothes that are begging to be worn. And that belly chain/belly ring combo that I haven't even tried on yet, cause I didn't want to disappoint myself too much.

Jill, this is your Monday to get serious!! (just a little girlfriend booty-kicking for ya )

have a great, in-control day bike-loving chicks!

Thanks so much Holly for the butt-kick and good inspiration! I needed that!! I feel like I can do it today. Isn't it just SO TRUE that 90% of it is being in the right frame of mind? I can go through the motions, but if I'm not in the ZONE, nothing works. Get me there, Lord! PLEEEEZE!!! LOLOLOL

Hey everyone.
I can't believe how much I have missed in the last few days. Welcome to all of those just joining. Too much to even keep up with, but I do miss the days when I don't get to check the post.

Thinking I need a little of the booty kicking that Holly is handing out, The scale had stopped moving at all so lately I have refused to climb on it again. At the same time since Friday I have been really really bad . For some reason I can't seem to get enough to eat and none of the usual tricks like filling up on water aren't helping. I am hoping to really get back on track hopefully for the rest of today but if not at least tomorrow. I want the scale down more.

I got to work out 3 days last week and though I didn't go today I plan on going the rest of the week.

I got to ride this weekend, finally. Took a private lesson on Saturday and then took my bike out for a short time on Sunday. It is raining today so I won't get to take her out though I was really hoping too. I am real tired of this sporadic stuff happening.

Rebelrider and newfannie, the dh didn't like me as a passenger. Told me I tried to counterbalance too much, so I made him get me my own. Now he says I ride better as a passenger, go figure. Take care everyone and good luck with all you do.

Get back on track, and let's all stay on track.

Good morning ladies!! I'm still doing my best with exercise and eating rather well. I've given up on taking sneak peeks at the scale because it was bumming me too much. I keep re-reading other's posts on 3FC about 'staying the course' and am bravely doing that

I do feel better overall that I am trying my best. I also feel better that I've started the tanning booth again, along with bronzing lotion. Tan lines make me feel better

Oh, and I got those Crest Whitestrips. I used them 2 years ago, and was satisfied. Geez - exercise, eat right, get hair lightened, get body darkened, get teeth whitened.....Man, this body sure needs alot of maintenance - I'm almost glad that I have non-descript fingernails, that I don't need to have to maintain nice long nails

Eat to Ride...Ride to Eat is a motto that's so hard to break! Man....having to order a salad or a chunk of chicken while everyone around you is eating burgers and fries really sucks....BUT it also makes me feel EMPOWERED when I can do it!!

Maybe we can meet up one of these days. We ride down in your area every now and then. In fact, we'll probably zip right by there (on 27) this Friday if we decide to meet our S. Florida friends in Lake Wales.

Holly...you crack me up with your body maintenance list. That's soooo funny and SO true! Good for you, Girl.....for staying the course and getting ready for Myrtle Beach. Oh....and about those White Strips; the active ingredient in all of those whitening products is hydrogen peroxide. SO.....I mix my mouthwash half and half with peroxide and swish my teeth with it daily, holding it in there for a minute or two. Once you get done with the strips.....do that, and you'll never have to buy those expensive things again! A QUART of peroxide is 89 cents! I saw some beauty queen on one of the morning shows....and when asked what her best beauty secret was, this is what she said...and she had the brightest smile of all the girls on that TV show! Then I researched it online and it's perfectly safe. White Teeth for Everyone!

Holly I promise the sisterly boot kicking when you need it.

I did better on my eating today. Yeahh!! I just love congratulating myself. Sorry but other then the pats on the back from here I don't always get them from home. So I give them to myself. Hubby can give them he just sometimes forgets and I need them more often then he gives.

I have conquered the elliptical machine at the gym!!!! I can now manage 20 minutes on it, although I think it is killing me at the time, lol.

Body maintenance, mmmmmmm. I have been keeping my nails done, making sure I wear my makeup (that is a full turn around for me) Since I am a daddy's girl I am trying to con him (my father) into paying for a tummy tuck and a boob job.

Just a quick check-in with a weigh-in this morning. YAY! Lost 2 pounds of Cruise Fat!

Riding today with our Wednesday HOG group....not sure of the destination, but you can bet it involves food! This little loss will empower me to stick with My Plan.

That sounds good, but I don't have a bike yet. But... if you ever have anyone riding with you who is in desperate need of a passenger let me know. I love to ride, even if I have to be stuck on the back of a bike.

Good evening ladies!

Had another good day, yay! I thought it was supposed to get warmer today, and it was sunny, but windy, and the air temp never got above 40, so I didn't get the bike out. It's so hard to be patient!

haeyu, tell us about the baby in your avatar?

Jill - CONGRATS!!!! on being down two pounds, you lucky, hard-working chick! That is so great. It totally does pump you to keep on track, doesn't it? Keep it up!! and I'll try to keep up with you.

wannabe- great job, girl!! A pat on the back from us I could have written the same thing about not getting the verbal support that we want (crave!) to hear. Or to hear it much, much more often. And in a sincere way

My tummy wants more food, but I'm gonna shut it down for the night. Something I have to do to prepare for my summer job is go through my recipe binder, which is huge (20+ years of professional baking recipes!) but in disarray from last season, the binding's broken, the recipe cards are mostly spotted and greasy (they're 'scratch n taste' now ) so I need to copy them over, put in new pages...hard to do and not think of all the tasty yummies that they create....but I have NOTHING in the house to sneak eat so that's that!

The baby in my avatar is my goddaughter, Nevina, born last october. The photo was taken last thanksgiving at her baptism. That's when I first noticed how round I was becoming. (I'd pretty much avoided being in photos). I haven't told her parents (who are my best friends) about my weight loss because I want to surprise them in the summer when I go to michigan. For them, I'm not wanting to surprise them because I'm afraid of negative attitudes, but rather that Steph, (my bf and Nevina's mom) has in passing said about me being healthy and around for their family for a long time and showing up skinny and a lot healthier is going to be my gift to them.

And I know exactly what you mean about the scratch and taste recipe cards! My favorite cook books are almost more grease and flour than paper and ink. I had to replace one because the pages were attracting ants! Baking needs to be a much neater endevor (or I just need to learn not to be so sloppy).

What a great god-daughter story, Haeyu! I know your friends will be thrilled when they see the new you this summer. That's a really cool goal to be working toward. You can bet that if there's someone who wants a rider, I'll have you in mind!

Holly....YAY YOU for another great day! I hear ya loud and clear about trying to turn the ol' tummy tunes off. I'm going to go make some of those ZERO POINT Knox Blox in a minute. When I have those in the 'fridge, they are a really good alternative to anything baaad I can think of, like p-nut butter.
