Harleymom - fingers crossed for a speedy and painless recovery for DH.... Yay YOU!!! 2.5 pounds!!!

Andrea - I totally hear ya with the DH who can be a bad influence....mine doesn't have a weight problem... where he puts it all. I can't really use him as much of an excuse though...I sabotage myself way more than he does... I'm finally figuring out that I will never be able to eat like him. He can eat a whole loaf of french bread in one sitting...

Jill - Pumpkin bars are on the to do list for this weekend.

Well...so much for sunny California....s'rainin' buckets over here. Oh well...we need it. Gonna have to find some indoor fitness activities this weekend.

good morning chicks!! bad me, I haven't checked in since Jill cruised ...mmm chocolate martinis - and congrats on getting down already!!

Hi to all!! harleymom, so sorry to hear of your dh's emergency surgery - must have been scary. and WOW to him for doing a toy run when it's winter!!! in Colorado!!! hardcore

Hi Rebel, Gina, 2frust (our newlywed!) and Star!

We have a little snow on the ground, we need more for the tourist industry to be helped (the skiers are disappointed!) By this time of year, I have accepted and resigned myself about not riding. Even if we had a thaw, the roads are covered with sand/gravel and salt, so the bike would need to be meticulously cleaned afterward...and we don't have a heated garage, so it would mean washing it outside in the chilliness.

I ordered some cool stuff from an Aerostitch catalog - they make those very nice but very expensive riding suits (jackets $500, suits $800) but have a catalogue of great moto-related stuff. I got dh a white silk scarf (classic motorcycle scarf ) bike calendar, "Cars Suck" t-shirt, a couple books, set of a bunch of disposable foam earplugs, retractable cable lock, I forget what else. It'll arrive by Friday. Shop by phone, charge it, it arrives, wrap and all set

Oh, how have I been doing weight/diet wise? MAYBE down two pounds. I've been exercising 5 or 6 times a week for at least half an hour (doing step aerobics holding light weights) and I havent' had an evil work cookie for two weeks. I do feel renewed muscle strength in my arms and core. I just have to 'keep on keepin on' as harleymom tells us and be consistant, and I'm pretty confident I can be smaller by late April (my target time )

Now yell at me for not checking in, and maybe that's what I need to come back each day to see you great friends!

Did I ever tell you chicks that I got my bellybutton pierced? back in July...you can't see it in the avatar 'cause that was taken in May.

They take a long time to heal, but it's doing fine. Another reason to get my belly flat and my waist back to normal, so I can show my bellybutton jewelry

Holly good to here from you! Belly button pierced ouch. My 16 year old daughters did it last year and it was painful and took forever to heal. We all got noses done at the same time. I like mine. Sounds like you got some good loot for DH. Good for you on keeping up with the excersise! Keep uo the good work.

Well all it is one weekend left before Christmas, I guess two if you count Christmas eve as a time to shop. Where does the time go??? I still have much shopping to do. I don't know why I always do it last minute. I have actually got some done but have to do several more people. I guess I will get around to it.

Keep on Keep'n on and have a great Tuesday! Hi to everyone, hope your all staying on plan and keeping away from all those holiday treats.

Harleymon, CONGRATS on being down another pound!!

Gina, have fun south of the border!

okay, I have to tell you about my previous bosses...they were the millionaires (well the 60 yr old husband was a millionaire; and his 46 yr old wife wasn't till she married him) who bought the deli/convenience store where I worked 'cause the wife thought it would be 'cute' and 'fun' Oh! the wife is the one who, when she saw my studded saddlebags on my previous bike, said "I like your motorcycle purses!" LOL

Anyway, they sold it after barely a year (thank goodness) but still live in the area. They are so bored, they go to Miami for months at a time (in winter) are looking for a house in Hawaii, bought a helicopter for fun (!!) and NOW the husband told me that he bought her and him Harleys. She will get an 883, and he didn't even know the model of what HE bought himself!!!! He asked me what the wife has to do to get her license. I told him, but I really, really stressed that it is NOT just like riding a bicycle.

I hope they don't hurt themselves, I hope they don't hurt anyone else. Maybe in the 4 months until riding weather comes, they'll change their minds.

Hi Everyone!! I don't know where I've been....I've been BAD tho....eating all kinds of stuff I shouldn't. Scared to weigh myself!!! This morning I made some great muffins that are only one point....so hopefully I can stay on-plan today. I will post the recipe....they are easy and yummy. Kinda like those bars....but muffins. I also uncovered my Gazelle today...so maybe the next step is to actually GET ON THE DAMN THING and make it MOVE!!!!!

Harley....you are going to easily win this little competition we have going!!! You GO Girl! Congrats on the loss(es)! And so happy to hear that DH is doing well after his (your) scare.

HI HOLLY! Great to read what you've been up to....OMG...that story about the Rich and Bored is pretty scarey! Wonder if they will really ride! And a belly piercing for you! If I were a few years younger.......

Gina...have a wonderful Christmas South of the Border! Sounds like fun to spend the holiday in Mexico. We're taking our bike and going to South Florida for the Holiday....leaving on the 22nd and coming home the afternoon of the 25th. We're visiting our friends who we love to ride with down there.

Wonder where 2Frus is????

Been riding quite a bit lately....and this Saturday is the annual HOG Christmas Party. They're having it at a local lakeside restaurant and watering hole, so it should be fun. I'm just wearing my (skinny) black jeans with my boots and a festive top.

Well....back to wrapping gifts.....almost done!

Have a great day ya'll ....it's rainy and humid here in Central Florida today.

Default December Ride

Hi Jill! that recipe sounds great, thanks for sharing!

It is incredibly mild here - like almost 55, so I was hoping to be able to ride into town to meet dh for lunch - got the bike out, shined her up...then dh came home in the car and said there was still patches on ice on the road, on the parts of road that are in shade all the time booooo!!!! So I just rode 1/2 mile to the general store to get the mail. It was a QUICK one mile but felt very very good!!! And I think the first time I've ever ridden my own in December in Vermont.

Jill - drag out that Gazelle! thinkj of me sweating away while I do my step aerobics and lets be losers together! well, ALL of us losers together!

Holly OMG money don't buy you sense for sure! Hopefully they will be on them less than 500 miles and put them up for sale after they sit in the garage for a year or two and then they will sell them becasue it wasn't their "thing". It happens all the time. Silly yuppies. Hopefully you will get to ride more than a short trip this month. We went out on Sunday and it was wonderful. About 55 or so. We are having fantastic weather here in Colorado, but they say it is suppose to get cold and snowy this weekend.

Jill thanks for the recipe they sound fantastic. Your HOG party sounds like fun. Get on that Gazalle and work up a good sweat. You CAN and will do this stay focused!

Gina have a fantastic time in Mexico. Sounds like a good time. Don't eat to much while your there.

Reb, 2 frus, Star, and whom ever else is lurking drop us a line or two.

Take care all and Keep on Keep'n on!
