Bummer, Chicks!

I had to move my weight tracker up a pound today. DAM that Cap'n Morgan and his Super Bowl antics!

But am back on track with Pilates ( just did em'), knox blocks for snacks and healthy eating. I WILL make up for the weekend gain.

My goal for this week is to DRINK WATER!!! LOTS of WATER!! How's everyone else doing on the February Challenge????

The sun is finally out and it will be 65 today. It's been cloudy and cold since the tornados but at last our Florida weather has returned.

This weekend we have our annual HOG Club Shrimp Boil on Saturday...then a really fun Key Note Ride with a neighboring HOG Club on Sunday. Last year it was 38 degrees when we started out on this run, so we nicknamed it the Freezer Ride. I barely had enough clothes in my closet to stay half-way warm on that ride!! This year, however, it will be 72 and sunny. YAY!

Hello all - big rant about parking coming up!

I went to John Lewis department store to pick up my new ipod shuffle today, so I went to the nearest multi-storey car park to it. It's one with barriers, so I'm looking at the sign on the way in, height restriction 6'3", wondering if I'm 6'3" on my bike then I ride round the barrier since it's a really really short one, about half a car width, and check out the charges sign and see if it says anything about motorbikes, which are usually free just about everywhere. So I can't see anything and move on. Up this really MENTAL twirly whirly multi-storey 10 level ramp and eventually find the first parking floor, pull into a space and go off to get my ipod. On the way back I notice the exit barrier on that floor has an extention so that it reaches all the way to the wall. There's no way I'm getting round that unless I stunt-skid underneath it! So I think shall I rear-end a car and speed out with it or shall I press the button and tell them that I thought it was free parking for bikes and didn't take a ticket on the way in? So I decided to be honest.

I got to the little box by the barrier and pressed the button and said, "I didn't get a ticket. I'm on a motorbike and thought it was free since you could get round the barrier. I can't get round the one on this floor." The voice in the box says,
" Motorbikes aren't allowed in the car park."
"Oh, well there wasn't a sign about it."
"Yes there's one at the entrance when you come in."
"...."
"The nearest car park for bikes is a million miles away in the next town where John Lewis would be shut by the time it took you to walk from the bike parking across the other side of town."
"Well if I'm not allowed in the car park, can you let me out please?"
"But you're not allowed in here...."
thinking, "Yes.... well LET ME OUT THEN!!!!!!" but actually saying, "Thanks for the barrier!" and riding off!

Gee, all hail the CAGE! And thanks for the discrimination btw. I am NOT a Hells Angel, I am NOT a 16 year old boy on a 49CC scooter tear-@$$ing round the multi-storey, I am an honest citizen who would like to shop in your shopping centre you beaurocratic

I feel better now!

Everyone - how's the challenges going? I signed up for a V-day one and will fall short by about 10lbs and my Easter one is slacking, but I am making very slow progress! At least I have been POP for a few days. Every day I write the reason of the day to stay on plan in my exercise diary and it does seem to help!

Snow forecast for tomorrow so methinks if it is the 3-8" predicted I will work from home, then see if it melts in time for kickboxing in the afternoon

Hi chicks!

Jill, thanks so much for that info! and for that wonderful offer of perhaps having a 'look-see" at the lot. I will get that info to you, and if it is ever convenient for you, that would be great! And yes, thankfully I am diligent about paying the taxes on time, and always request a paper receipt mailed back to me.

You willingly took off on a ride when it was 38 degrees??? holy cow girl! I'm glad that it will be in the 70's for you this time!!

Harleymom, sorry about your cold. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi to Gina, 2frust, Rebel, and wannab! Hope everyone's doing well

I had an out of control eating day on Monday. Bleh!!! It started as just a taste of something, then it just WHAM triggered my desired for more. MOral is - don't start with that little taste!!! At least for me

About to do a workout tape. Hang in there chicks!!

2frust!! we posted at about the time time.

@#$$&*@!!! is what I would have said also!!!!! Definitely write a letter to the department store letting them know that alot of potential customers are NOT going to patronize their store because of the parking building's policy about SPACE EFFICIENT, FUEL EFFICIENT bikes!!

May I relate your story to one (or a couple) of my other motorcycle forums?

Yes please indeedy do! I have never found that bikes are banned from parking anywhere! I will write to the store, but I think it's a council car park. I won't be going again and that's for sure!

2Fru - I woulda given them a few choice words as well. That is so Cheech and Chong (Dave's not here) answering your request to be let out with a "you aren't supposed to be here"...what a

One bonus thing about my bike is that it's small enuf to park with the bicycles sometimes...or at least it's weird looking enuf that people think it's a moped.

Holly - just a little doesn't work for me either.....

Harelymom - hope you are feeling better!! Yes, I know it's supposed to be a coffee smilie but this time there is chicken soup in the cup. Get your passport early - the expedite fee isn't pretty.

Jill - doesn't alcohol make you retain water? Your pound is prolly already gone with all the water drinking and knox blox...

Andrea - howzit going, girl?

Wannabsexy - those are some kick (!) stats, chickie!!!

My job....some days are better than others...it's just an icky office poltics thing. Plan B is to run away to Mexico....we will prolly do it in the next year or so. We already have the house down there, we would have to sell the house here to finance it tho. That's a little scary. DH wants to build apartments for foreigners on some land we have. It could work...I told him we have to build me a small gym and I could train people. I have a lot to learn before I would feel totally comfy with that - but hey what a great job!

2 frus that is nuts! It is a good thing the guy was in a box and not in front of you. That is like when we go to a state park somewhere and they charge per person on the motorcycle and one price for a car load? Help me with that. Talk about discrimination! No free parking here and we can usually get 2 to 4 bikes in a spot and get charged the same amount as you would per car. The only time that doesn't happen is when you parked at a meter, bike closest to the meter is responsiable for the fee.

I am feeling better today! Went and weighed in this week gained 5 lbs. That was enough to give me a wake up call. I've been really good so far this week on eating but have not gone to the gym as I am still not feeling real great.

OK here is the cruise information. Carnival Conquest 7 days Galveston, TX - Jamaica - Grand Cayman - Cozumel. Jill you'll have to tell me what you do in Jamaica and Grand Cayman since you going before me. We are taking my girls and my son and his wife will be going. We are going with a group of about 40 people. It should be a lot of fun. I am looking forward to it. Any good cruising advice you can give me would be great! Gina I will make sure and take care of that passport soon. Thanks for the sound advice!

Well all keep up the good work and Keep on Keep'n on! Hi to all you hot biker babes!

Hey Harley, Gina, Holly, Reb & 2Frus! Hi Everyone!

Harley....glad you're feeling better and getting back on track. You a little warmer out there now? Your cruise sounds wonderful; You can bet I'll give you the scoop on Jamaica, Cayman and Cozumel. We have a timeshare on Grand Cayman...that's my favorite place on the planet. When we cruise there next month we will be taking a taxi to our timeshare to see how the re-construction after Hurricane Ivan a couple of years ago is coming along. It was awesome when I was there last March...and more great things to come. Do you like to snorkel? I've heard that Eden Rock which is near where the ships anchor is one of the best snorkeling anywhere. You can also swim with the stingrays, which is the most popular thing to do.

2Frus...bet you wanted to smack that guy! Yep...good thing he was in a box

Gina..you were right about The Captain and water retention....plus I've really been good on-plan. I FINALLY broke 170!!!!!!! Am not moving my weight tracker down tho until I get to 168 just to be sure Don't wanna jinx me!

Holly....we'd be happy to check out your lot....just PM me the info.

We have a big weekend planned....I think I told you our annual HOG Sprimp Boil is tomorrow at a park not too far from here....then we have a big poker run on Sunday that will end at a place near Orlando called the Blue Parrot where there will be door prizes, and aution, etc. Weather will be fab.....dry, sunny and 73-75. Should be fun and at least WARM! Last year it was FREEZING for this event!!

Hey Reb....glad you're happy and thriving on WW....you Keep on Keepin' On, Girl....WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Happy Weekend, Chickies!

Hey Chicks!

Jill- Wow, that sounds like a big weekend alright! So much fun. Congratulations on the loss! That's such a great feeling. Have fun this weekend.

Harley- You're super busy too. Enjoy the dinner and dance!

Gina- Your plan of running away to Mexico is a really good idea. I think we all need a change after awhile. If it wasn't for Dh I'm not sure that I would live here the rest of my life. I don't think he wants to leave his job.

Hi Holly and 2 Frus!

Seems like everyone has pretty exciting weekend plans. I'm so boring! I have nothing. I got off work early today and so now I get to pay some bills and order dinner (Papa Murphy's). My husband and I may go to a movie tonight. We need to get out more. We're stuck in a rut. Of course, the weather doesn't help much either.

I lost 2 pounds this past week at WW So, I'm focusing on being REALLY good this weekend so that I can have another loss on Monday.

Jill and Harley...you've inspired me to start doing some cruise research. I think that we should plan a cruise for next winter. Now to just talk Dh into it.

Well, everyone have a safe and fun weekend!

Hi chicks!!

first, Rebel, you n I can be the boring weekend duo Let's see, I worked 11-7 Friday, then watched TV...I worked 11-7 last night, then came home and watched TV...guess what? today I work 11-6 (a change!!) then will probably come home and watch TV (don't worry - I do my exercise in the morning)

and congrats on being down 2 pounds!!!!

Hello to everyone else!

I know I still haven't lost anything. But I'm still plugging away.

When I went outside to get the newspaper this morning, I peeked in the garage to say hi to the bikes. The garage isn't heated, so we do NOT putter around there in the winter. It's too cold to even just sit on a bike and make vroom vroom noises anyway, I said hi to my bike and told her how beautiful she is, from her custom LED mirror/indicators to the tip of her Avon shoes

Gotta get ready for work. Have a great Sunday!

Hey ladies,
I don't know what is going on but I haven't been receiving the notice of the post. So now there is too many to answer and keep up on, lol. It looks like everyone is doing pretty good and I seem to have dropped my bloat weight. Thank goodness. The scale seems to be moving slowly again and I really hate it when it does that.

I didn't get to work out any last week because I have been slammed so badly at work but I will get to this week and you can belive I will be there everyday. I got to go shopping on Friday. My closet does keep emptying out. I really have to have dress clothes for work so I wind up buying a couple of sets of slacks and a skirt or two that will match the majority of my tops and wear a lot of the same things over and over. Thats ok, hopefully by next month I will be out of these, lol.

Keep up the good work everyone!!!
