Hi Chickies!

Star, I have to hand it to you for diving into the DoggieBaby job again! You sure do have your hands full! Our DoggieBaby will be 14 years old next month (she's a bichon-poo...we call her a Bishoodle) and I can't imagine having TWO puppies!!! LOL

GUESS WHAT!!! I went BELOW my cruise goal this morning to 169! YAYAYAYAYAY! I'm very excited about this and it's making me want to stay away from all the BAD food on the cruise. I hope that holds once I board! Guess I'll have to walk those decks or hit the gym to make up for the food and drink that will be calling my name! Say prayers for me, Girls! If I can just somewhat maintain and not gain 5 lbs next week I'll be happy.

Hope you're all having a great week! I'm off for a trim and NEW RED HAIR this morning so I'm on top 'o the world!

Hi chicks!!
2fru, congratulations!! I was thinking of you on your wedding day, and hoping everything turned out as you wanted!

I will check up on other posts tomorrow, but ug, my big news is that I stepped on the scale for the first time in like a year...and yes, I have gained 20 pounds. I am 172. I'm not really dispirited about it...disappointed in myself, mostly.

I did great on eating today and hope to take it one day at a time (one minute at a time, sometimes!!) and get back to being fit and happy with myself.

oh yeah, also have had a bad couple of weeks - did I tell you about being glad that I could get a generic Celexa instead of Lexapro, for $4 opposed to $70? well, apparently the generic celexa does NOT do for me what the Lexapro did...I had some days that were very very bad sleeping over 10 hours a night, and then more in the day if I could, no exercise at all, and those scary self-destructive feelings I'm now back on Lexapro and feeling much much better.

talk to you all soon!! CONGRATS to all you pound losers!!!!!!!

Hey chicks!

Holly- I am glad that you really have found something that works great for you. My aunt was on Prozac for several months and said that it made her feel really angry, but she does much better on Zoloft. I totally understand about your weight gain issue... we're in the same boat, dear! I think that some of my gain has been due to getting on the pill.

Jill- YAY for being below your cruise goal!!!!!!! How exciting! How long is your cruise? Are you all packed and ready? Only a few more days to go...

HarleyMom- Gotta love those big puppies! We have a rottweiler and she likes to try and sit in our lap! LOL. Is your riding season pretty much done now?

Trina- I love your puppies names! I'm with you, too, in terms of not being able to snap into diet mode. I think that I'm going to set a deadline of when to get started, for real! LOL! Are you having Thanksgiving at your house with the kids and grandbabies?

I think that our Thanksgiving will be a little larger than it has been in the past. We have some extra family coming from out of state, which will be really nice to see them. After the dinner, we'll come back to our house and watch football (Chiefs!) with some snacks and drinks. I'm soooo ready for the time off!

Have a great rest of the week chicks!

Oh, by the way...now that I figured out what I was doing wrong when I was riding, I have had ZERO problems and am riding great! Yipppee!

Hey Girls!

Oh Holly....I can sooooooooo relate to how you're feeling after getting on the scale! That's why I'm so totally elated with the weight I've been able to lose since September. I really think it's the food journaling. Sure does make me stop and THINK before I pop something into my big mouth! I've also started weighing myself every day, which is also keeping me more aware of what I'm eating. I don't want to ruin my cruise, but I AM going to be more aware of trying not to fall into the mindless eating and DRINKING that usually goes along with cruising! I'm pretty much packed and ready...just a few last minute things to do like bathe the dog, do my nails & toes, etc.

Today we're riding...but I don't know where yet. Supposed to rain like crazy tonight and tomorrow, so have to get a ride in before we cruise!

I hope you ALL have a wonderful Thankgiving just in case I don't post before I go I'm so thankful for all of you.....you Keep Me Going!!

Hey all! Congrats Jill that is fantastic. You need to come kick my butt into gear. I have gained another .6 lbs this week and I am up to 171. I am planning at least 3 trips to the gym this next week. That seems to help keep me on track. It has been a rough month but hopefully everything will start to calm down and I will get back on track. Holly you can do this too! Come on everybody lets get back on the wagon along with Jill!

Jill have a super fantastic cruise. Enjoy the fun in the sun.

Reb yep riding season is pretty much finished we might find a day or so that we will be able to go out but we never ever go to the mountains at this time of year. You'll get stuck in snow almost sure of it. I get a little blue at this time of year when I know we won't be back out until March or April now. It is just too darned cold.

Star keep those pups in line. Train them right while their little or they will be eatting you shoes or something worse. Good luck!

Gina where the heck have you been? Well all keep on keep'n on and have a great day!

Hey Guys!

Yes....I will definitely help with the butt kicking when I get back. Lord knows I will have gained a few back while partying on the high seas next week! I hope I can hop right back on the bandwagon with ya'll when I get home the afternoon of the 26th. Keep reminding me how great I was doing before my cruise, will ya?!

Had a wonderful ride today...went to a lakeside biker bar for lunch.....rode up with our HOG group, so there were about 40 bikes. Then we came back a different way and stopped at a watering hole at the little airport in Deland. That's just a bit west of Daytona. I drank most of my points today, so I'll be having bran cereal for dinner!!!

Not leaving for the cruise until Sunday morning, so I'll be checking in again before I go to see what ya'll are up to. It takes about 3 hours to drive from here to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. It's usually pretty crazy down there, but the traffic should be pretty good since it's Sunday. We can begin boarding at 1pm. Yippeeeee!

Jill, we are so excited (and I admit, jealous! ) of your cruise. You have done so well with losing, and exercising, that you're below your cruise goal! Glad you had such a nice day/ride today ('drank your points', lol!)

Rebel, first congrats on conquering that pesky shifting thing I also would have been so upset at the jerks hollering and honking. As bikers, we need to be able to just put the sidestand down, turn off the engine, face them and say TOO BAD!!!! I am so glad that you don't have that particular trouble with riding now; I agree with Star that IF you can, do alot of practice where there are less cagers. If possible. Yay to your success!!

Star, congrats on the new dogbabies! What a handful. I hope they bring you many many years of doggie companionship

HarleyMom, hi!! We're in the same boat riding-wise; we will get just a day or two until the real snow and cold hits.

Hi Gina! last thing I read, you were down scale-wise even when you thought you had a bad food week. Good for you!

Do we know how long 2frust will be on her honeymoon? I haven't checked her bachelorette pics yet; I need to.

It's odd that the last time I was this weight, I had no shape at all. At least I have some muscle tone now, compared to that time (four years ago! )

I think I'm gonna be brave and have my husband take some of the dreaded "BEFORE" pics...ugh!

I should let you know what my real, real getting fit motivation is...I know first and foremost should be health (no pain in joints; flexible; able to tackle anything physical) but I'm vain enough to admit it's to want to be hot!! Especially at biker rallies. Especially when wearing as little as possible Any feminists here, I'm sorry if I offend you but I love being a girly girl and being appreciated being a girly girl

Default oh yeah...motorcycles :)

hah - forgot to tell that I got to ride today, first to an eye checkup about 25 miles away (an optic nerve test, I'm fine) then to meet husband for lunch (a little tuna salad on a big green salad and a little bread) then a ride to Stowe for coffee, reading the paper...then near home to quickly wash the bike at the carwash; then home. About 100 miles total.

It was very cloudy but almost 60 degrees and NOT raining (its been raining here steadily for days and days!) so it felt great to get out. Got waves from people who weren't on bikes; you can just tell who the bikers are, even when they're not on two wheels

Happy Friday ChickieBabes!

Holly....you did GOOD with your lunch ride the other day! YAY YOU! Keep it up, Kiddo! And thank goodness your eye checkup was a good one.

We also went to the eye doc yesterday....I got new glasses and riding sunnies...TRIFOCALS You know you're getting OLD WHEN......
HH got new contacts so our old eyeballs are cruise-ready!

We're outta here on Sunday morning.....headed south to Fort Lauderdale to catch The Caribbean Princess!! Yippeeeee!

Here's a link to The Princess ships...just click on the Caribbean Princess after you get there: http://www.princess.com/ships/

We'll be in aft cabins on the Baja Deck.....Mike and I in B-738 and our friends in B-739. You can look at the layout of the ship and see just where we'll be....and there's also a webcam that follows us along our journey to the Eastern Caribbean if you'd like to join us!

Busy packing, cleaning, doing mani's and pedi's and getting our furry babies ready for the next door neighbor to babysit...Busy, Busy! Whew! Still lots to do, but I'll be totally organized by Saturday afternoon

Weather is chilly after a little rain last night.....but will be cool and sunny the rest of the weekend. After that, I only care about the weather in the Caribbean!! LOL

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Chicks. I'm Thankful for each and every one of you!

I hate when that happens, Holly....a great reply that just vanishes. I find I never have the brain-power (or the energy) to instantly reproduce it!

I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE your new avatar...YOU WILL BE BACK THERE!

Jill have a super fantastic cruise. When you get back come report to us right away about all your fun in the sun.

Holly I am with Jill love your picture. Your so cute!

Well the weekend is almost here. I work Monday next week then I am out until November 27th. Yipee! My sister is coming on Tuesday from Arizona so I am excited to see her, it has been 6 months. We are planning a trip to Lake Tahoe in July and I will get to see her in May when my son gets married.

I am having my 25th class reunion this next week also. Gosh I am getting old. It will be fun to see old friends.

Who is cooking for Thanksgiving, we know Jills not! If your not cooking where you going?

Gingerbread house making is Saturday next week. I plan on get my Holiday decorations up next Friday for all the festivites.

Well chicks take care and have a great weekend. Keep on Keep'n on biker babes!

Jill - have fun on your cruise!! Too cool the rides you guys go on! I'm still riding almost every day - it only rained one day this week.

harleymom - I know the feeling on the reunion thing...I only have a couple more years til I'm at #25 myself. Gingerbread time again... I will be cooking everything except the turkey this year. Dad wanted to do something and how can ya go wrong with roasting a turkey? He does pretty well... he has been taking care of Mom and himself for years now. Kinda amazing when I think about it. I haven't really planned out what I am going to do yet. I make a mean pumpkin pie with splenda, nonfat evap milk and egg beaters...pretty low cal, too.

Holly - the new avatar!! Too cute! I did manage to keep the scale at 161....I have bumped up my allowed calories to 1600 a day. It seems to be helping with the bingeys....spin class burns it back off. 1400 was just too hard - I was averaging closer to 1600 anyway. And annoyed with myself. This way it feels more controlled.

Reb - so cool you are enjoying your bike!! Funny how a small thing can make such a difference. WTG with the IPOD walks, I swear it worked for me, too! Just put some crankin songs and off you go!

Star - I'm kinda wishing I had a small dog, today I was on kennel search. My guy doesn't fit in a small space. And the place I wanted to take him while we are in Mexico in December is full up already!! Danged procrastination!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!

Today I'm putting the finishing touches on my packing...checking my list again to be sure I have everything we could POSSIBLY need. My motto of "if I forgot to bring it, I can buy it" doesn't hold as true on a cruise! You MIGHT be able to buy "it", whatever it is, on the ship, but it will cost mega bucks!! Also doing my nails, bathing the dog, blah, blah, blah!

Gina, sounds like you're gonna be a cookin' fool this year. You Go, Girl! I love to cook Thanksgiving dinner, but I have to admit it will be fun to have someone serve ME this year! Our son is vacationing during the holiday and our daughter lives soooooo far away, that we have no one to cook for anyway, so might as well paaaarty on the high seas!

Happy Saturday, Everyone.....enjoy your long weekend next week and HEY! let's all TRY to be kinda good!

Talk to ya'll next week!
