Good Sunday Morning Chickies!

It's a beautiful central Florida day and we're off for another day of riding! YAY! We're headed to the little town of Brooksville....kinda quaint with lotsa trees and hills. If there's time we'll go on over to a beach on the west coast where a favorite biker bar is. If not enough time, we'll just head back toward home and stop at another favorite riverfront watering hole where they always have a band outside on Sundays.

Yesterday we rode up through the Ocala National Forest to a little lakeside town and ate at a place called 3-Bananas. Fun place with a huge screened in,wrap-around porch right on Crescent Lake. I've stayed on-plan and have lost another pound! YAY! I don't think I'll make my cruise goal, but I'm happy just the same. Just THREE SHORT WEEKS from today and we're headed for the Eastern Caribbean!!

Hope you all are safe and happy this weekend and are able to get out there. Harley...my motto is "NO MO SNO!!" That was a terrible experience you had the other day!

Have a great Sunday, BikerBabes!

OK Chicks can you say only in Colorado. It was a sunny wonderful weekend. Shorts and tee shirts weather. Getting ready for the a little Halloween fun. Tradition is we make chili and have fun orange and choc. donuts for the kids. Everyone is getting to old for trick or treating but they enjoy passing out candy to the neighborhood kids. It is a fun thing we have been doing for 15 or so years. But I used to have to go out in the cold and wet and spend hours getting 10 lbs of candy the kids wouldn't even eat half of. I am glad we don't have to do that anymore and can just enjoy sitting in front of the fire place enjoying family and chili!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoy your Monday. Keep on Keep'n on chicks!

biker babes!!

I didn't make my Halloween goal... although I have no one to blame but myself. In fact, I gained my 5 back, or so it appears. I was doing so good and then I just went into binge mode last week. Anyway, I suppose I'll set a new one for Thanksgiving.

Have a great Halloween everyone!

good morning biking chicks!

Reb, I'm sorry you didn't reach your anticipated goal. I think I was right by you this week, I wasn't able to stay in control with all kinds of stuff. Let's do better!

I did miss 2 days of exercise in a row, but those were the first two days I hadn't exercised since the 16th.

Harleymom, I also was quaking at your description of driving in snow without wipers!!and then you had t-shirt and shorts weather! what a change!

Jill, you lost another pound!! yay!!! and I am so happily envious of yuo and your husband being able to enjoy beautiful warm weather, the ocean, and your bike together! That's so great.

Hi to Gina, Trina, and 2 frust!

I was so annoyed yesterday - I decided to be a 'biker chick' (duh) for Halloween at work, and I rode to work (yay) so when I came upstairs from clocking in, I had on jeans, chaps, my boots, a regular long sleeved shirt, big hoop earrings, studded choker, bandana and sunglasses on top. My co-worker (young girl, 23, very uptight) looks at me with this totally aghast, almost disgusted expression and says something like "ugh!"

Now wouldn';t that take away your pleasure of 'dressing up' for Halloween? I immediately felt like an old, 'trying to look young' pathetic person.

I just about ignored her for as long as possible, then when she asked "is that a real dog collar?" about my choker, I said as politely but tight-lipped as possible "it is manufactured for a human, but some people call them dog collars, but it wasn't made for a dog to wear" and went back to being silent around her

She later said she was sorry if she offended me about the comment of the choker, and I said we were fine, but was peeved. I know I shouldn't have let her partly ruin my fun, but that's hard to ignore, isn't it!

But I was glad that I was able to ride to work, even though it started to rain in the afternoon, and going home at 6:00 was a wet, DARK ride. You have to be sooo much more careful when it's night and raining, because of hardly being able to SEE anything.

Well I have off today, and the sun is shining right now; I hope it still is after it warms up a little (its 40 now) and I'm going to work out now, then decide what to later. I am meeting dh for lunch and we'll both be on the bikes, so that's fun

have a great day, ladies!!!

Default Description Of "stubborn'

Todays definition of 'stubborn' is our 16-yr-old son, who was getting the coveted ride to school, but not in car; on the back of my husband's motorcycle (which our son thinks is so uncool - I've gotta get a DNA check on that boy!) and it's 40 degrees out; and he only has on a long-sleeved rugby shirt. And he won't wear a jacket - "I'll be okay!" he sez

KIDS!! sheesh.

Hi girls!
Halloween was fun here, the weather was alittle cool, but that didn't stop the kids from treat or treating.....On a side note, I will be very happy when all this dammmm candy is gone til next year. Some coworkers brought some in to work today......yuck.
Holly - that co-worker sounds like she has a stick up her azz - you should of ask her if you could call someone to help her get it removed....lol
I hate it when young people act like that. Seems like people in they're twenties have this pizz poor outlook on life. I have noticed thru some other message boards they are insulting, rude and basically not nice. Maybe it's just I'm use to people that grew up in the peace and love era...lol
Hugs to all....

OMG Holly what a PITA your co worker is. I dress up like that when it is non Halloween and dare anyone to cross me. Real biker chicks rule! She is just jealous she can not be as free and fun loving as you are! I haven't meet up with a guy who doesn't appreciate a real woman when they see one! What is not to like about Halloween you get to be what ever you want. I love that!

Reb sorry to here about your weight gain. You'll get it off again. You can do it.

Star glad you had a nice Halloween, it was freezing here. My baby newphew who just turned one came in the house after being out for 30 min. was a frozen baby. His little hands turned bright red. I stayed in and ate chili and fought with the animals wanting to get out and see all the trick or treater's at the door. What fun!

I have been not losing weight and need to get my butt kicked to get this last 20 or so off. What a pain it is. Still working to see the goal ladies. Take care and keep on keep'n on all you hot biker babes!

Hi chickies!

We didn't get any trick or treaters last night... Good thing I bought candy with coconut in it....(IMHO the only way to ruin chcocolate is to put coconut on it). I had a REALY bad food day yesterday - POTLUCK's kill me. I brought a green salad and tried to fill up on it first. Which worked for about 20 minutes....then I discovered the dessert table. I didn't have the heart or the memory to log it in fitday. Today I ain't eating nuttin I didn't bring myself. Spin class later and all is right with the world again.

Reb - sorry, girl....back on the wagon with alla us!

Trina - I'm chomping on sugar free candy to avoid the treats all over the office...

Holly - uptight 23 YO = opinion to be ignored in my book....she's prolly jealous cause she could never sport such a cool look.

Me and Jill will come over as soon as it gets warm and take care of her.

Harleymom - I need one myself....hang in there!

Hello!

Just poking my in again! Frus update....

Holly - what a sad and pathetic gal (my age! ) I'm a true believer of dressing up, and peace and love all the way! A lot of people about my age think it's somehow "cool" to be "above" things like dressing up/anyone having fun! I say keep wearing the biker chick look, convince her you normally dress like that! Anyways... what's wrong with a dog collar? I have one with a lead attached!!! Oh yeah and your 16 YO, what's up with that???? I being a pillion!

Anyway - update from the planet Frus!

The wedding is on SATURDAY! I have on my BRIDEZILLA sweatshirt! Yes it really says that! I might take a picture of if today!

The hen day was last saturday, we went to go ape! www.goape.co.uk, it was fabby! The pictures are on "Pictures Please" sticky in UK Chicks. Then we had a chocolate fountain, then we went out into Covent Garden and Leicester Square for partying! There are pictures of that on the thread too!

We had our "Best Man" staying since Saturday night, which would've been ok but 1) He only told us he was coming on Friday, and 2) He didn't say quite how long he was staying... Anyway, he finally shifted his butt on Tuesday and last night was our first night alone since Thursday! So we spent it baking gingerbread men! Acutally they are favours for the wedding, so that's a legitimate thing to do!

I just have to buy some long-stem roses on the day/day before and we're all set

I'm off to kickboxing tonight, I skived Tues since I was feeling a bit rough with a cold, but I'm loads better today! My Mum's hotel has got a gym, so we are working out there tomorrow afternoon, then possibly on Saturday morning!

I'm getting excited...

2Fru!!!! Enjoy your day, Bridezilla!!! Go Ape looks like too much fun! I'm gonna have to check out if we have anything like it on our side of the pond.

Well...it's finally raining over here....wouldn't ya know I washed the car just before.

Should be a quiet weekend - I'm aiming to get some serious cleaning done. We'll see if it really happens.
