Happy Sunday, chicks!

Well, I say poop to the weather forecasters, they said yesterday was going to be a wash; but after I got home, I saw SOME sun and it only took a small amount of pestering to ask husband to go for a ride; we ended up doing about 90 miles, and he showed me an awesome road I didn't know about. It did cloud over completely and was pretty cool, but I had an extra sweater and another kerchief for my neck, so it was all good

I did sent an email to Administrator, asking nicely for a motorcycle smilie

Hi Holly,

Sounds like all in all you had a great weekend!

We went up north and got ready for out Memorial Day weekend garage sale. When I first looked at all the boxes with stuff I was really scared - it was way too much. But once we dug in and got going, by the time I came home last night = it looked like we were almost ready for a nice garage sale. DH took off this week and stayed up there to do some stuff and finish up things for the garage sale.

I will go up Thursday nights and the sale will be Fri, Sat and Sunday.......Hope we get rid of everything. We are doing the "make an offer" version garage sale. Our goal is to get rid of everything (even if we give it away..lol)

Hey - Rebel - How was your super busy weekend? Details please, if you get time ofcourse......

Hugs Biker Babes

OH one more small detail, we bought the two lots in front of our currents property up noth, which means no one can build there, now we have 4 acres full of pine trees and other green stuff......

Good morning girls!

Yeah, it was a busy weekend. The poker run went really good. It was so stinking hot, though. About 98 degrees, but I put plenty of suncreen on and we did ok. We rode about 130 miles or so. On Sunday I had to host my SIL's baby shower and that went ok, too.

Trina- congratulations on the pounds lost! Sounds like your weekend was super busy, too.

Holly- Your ride sounded like lots of fun. I'm gald that you and dh had a great day of riding!

I'll check in later!

Rebel - I need to use your name today - I don't want to drink my water and I want to eat way more than what is on plan. Don't know why, maybe becuz it's ugly, wet and grey outside? It just feels like a really good day to say screw-__ and do whatever. (But I'm sure I wont....lol)

Don't do it, girl!!! Stick to your guns!! You've lost so much since your vacay, keep that losing streak going!!! rah*rah*sisboombah sez me I know you'll do well!

We are having the exact same crummy weather, chilly (barely 50) drizzle, bleh.

MY inspiration for this week to stay OP is a ride this Sunday, the Vermont Thunder ride. Don't want to think about a fat *** spilling out from the chaps It's an offshoot from Rolling Thunder, which is in DC, to honor/raise awareness of those still MIA. Here in Vermont, there were over 400 participants last year. We get police escort so we don't have to stop for traffic lights

We're meeting up with a guy from southern Vermont. It's a funny coincidence; after the ride last year, DH posted some pics on our motorcycle forum. In one of them, I'm walking back through the throng of bikes. This guy posts, hey! I was there! and in that pic you're walking right by my buddy. We met this guy about a month ago in southern Vermont at a BBQ place.

I HOPE the weather clears up. We have the same crummy forecast for days and days and days!!!

Star, congrats on picking up those lots right next to yours. Excellent planning!

Rebel, glad you had fun on the poker run! I'll nicely ask you to explain them to me our first will be on June 4, with our newly-joined MRO (motorcycle rights organization)

HOT! what a concept for us around here, LOL! I'd be deliriously happy with 70 and some sun!!!!

Still anxiously awaiting to see what magic Star's hairdresser does for her!

Holly - Thanks for the encouragement; the no-no finger and the drill sergant - I can use both of those right now. It's not that I'm gonna go off plan, becuz I've been good for like a month now, and 8.4 pounds lost shows that. BUT it doesn't mean that I don't have times when I just don't feel like being 'that' good 24/7 cuz I've got alot of in me.... But with help from you chicks I think I'm gonna make it to goal this go round.... Plus you two know this all too well, I have been so good, it seems like I should already be at goal (and I have 15 pounds to go yet )

It has been raining here all day, a good day for 2 things, watch tv and you chicks can guess the other - here's a hint ........

Your rides both sound great. Yeah - more details Rebel about the poker run. And Holly when you meet up with your friends for you ride let us know how that goes too okay? We have a ride on June 5th, it's a big one, we have gone two years now, there are like thousands of bikes, barbeque/party afterwards.....IF the weather is nice I will go, I've riden in enuf rain to last me the rest of my life.....

Yes, I'm still excited about getting the hair done, but for now it's long straight and a pain. I hope I'm not expecting too much

Hello again.

Ya ever feel in a funk? I am sure in one of those today. Not sure why. I am just tired, bored, and mad at myself for not being OP 24/7 like you girls. I just can't seem to figure out why I do badly on weekends and I'm also confused as to what program to do. I guess it doesnt matter what you do as long as you do something and stick to it all the time.

All I can say for me today is...blah...

LOL!

Rebel - You are right on about it doesn't matter what plan you do. They all work, the trick is you have to follow them. My good friend is doing WW and is having some success, it is alittle slow, but then she is not anal about sticking to a plan either and strays here and there.
This is my advice to you, decide on a plan, go and get all the food to start the plan. Start the plan on a MOnday, follow it Monday morning, noon and night. Tell DH in advance what plan you are going on and what you will be eating and what you WON'T be eating (and drinking). Monday will turn into Tuesday, Wed, Thurs, Frida and then the dreaded weekend. This is the tricky part, you can go out with the biker friends, club, etc but you are special becuz you are taking care of you and you can't just have any ole biker food or drink. I always just have a salad or if it is a pig roast I have just the meat, sometimes they serve turkey legs at those things. You just have to stick to your guns. Believe it or not, day by day it gets easier, then when the pounds start to come off you will get more motivation, plus feeling great.
Okay I'm getting off the soap box again......

Reb - I won't be offended if you slap me......

Aw...how cute Star!!! I love those!

Thanks so much for your help with my diet problem. You are totally right and I would NEVER want to slap you.

Tomorrow is our last day of school and just wanted to let you ladies know that my schedule will be changing a little so I probably wont be posting as early as I sometimes do. I do promise to check in daily, though! I will actually get a week and 2 days off work before my dreaded summer job, but I am quite honestly tired of the same boring day-to-day school routine.

Yesterday I worked my off! I came straight home from work and mowed the yard and then went to workout. Our backyard is HUGE, not shaded, and it was HOT yesterday. Then dh gets home, visits with his uncle, is the 1st to jump in the shower while I cook dinner (all sweaty and nasty feeling) He's in for a rude awakening. We are VERY VERY soon going to be just eating frozen dinners, because I have vacation!

Hey Rebel - What is your summer job?
About frozen dinners, the Lean Cusines are on LAWL and some aren't too bad, they are low cal and would work nicely into your diet plan....
Hugs...

Yeah, I really do like LC. Most I have had are pretty tasty. Do you usually do one with a salad? Can you eat one daily? Or do you need to have the variety in other foods?

Rebel - LAWL just changed alot of the rules, LC's use to be limited to 5 per week. But not they are unlimited. So I have them for lunch with a salad whenever I feel lazy...they are just too easy! But on the same note, I think they might have a website with a diet on there. I think as long as you add veggies, fruit and dairy you could use Lean Cusines as the mainstay of a diet and it would be easy.....

Reb better yet, here is what you can have on LAWL for the Red Plan:
Protein - 2 servings
Veggies - 4
Fruit - 3
Starch - 3
Dairy - 1
Fat - 1
La Lites - 2 (can be replaced with Luna Bars from Target/Walmart)

Go on this thread where we sometimes journal out food intake for an idea of what they eat LAWL Journal Entries for May '05 ( 1 2 3 4 5 ). Let me know if it helps.
Hugs
