Strawberry--glad you are back. I totally know what it is like to go off the wagon like that--I had like two weeks of totally eating everything I could possibly want before I went on this diet. In a way it can be motivating. Anyway good to hear from you--I know you can do it this time!

Oh and here is your:

Help me lose: good job--at least the scale is going in the right direction--8 lbs is really good! And you said you werent exercising as much as you wanted. Keep it up--you will be past the 10lb mark before you know it!

Tamara: great job--you are ahead! 12 lbs in 8 weeks is totally doable! Great job!

Nina: you did it! below 150! What a milestone!

Hi,

Well, I'm still out here. Still exercising, but struggling with the eating. I'm maintaining on the scale, but really need to see a downward trend!

I've been working off-shifts and we've been in the middle of buying a house--hopefully that'll settle down now and I can focus more. I'ts 2 weeks to my birthday and I hope to be under 135 by then....maybe.

Thinking I've got a problem with digesting grain products and need to shift my carbs over more to fruits and roots type things. Otherwise I seem to retain a lot of water and lose zip at weigh in...

Easier said than done, but live and learn!

Just remember to pick yourself up and start again. Just think a year from now you won't remember much about this stumble in the road, especially when you keep trudging on and are thinner than you are now!

I enjoyed camping (5 days) , got back today and will weigh in tomorrow, last time I gained so here is hoping.

Sno...I just wanted to let you know that I am going to be doing my WI for this challenge on Friday, July 13 for the Monday 16th WI. I'm leaving for Kansas City on Saturday early in the morning and I just don't trust anyone else's scale. I'm back on Sunday the 22nd, so I'll be able to post my normal WI for Monday 23rd.

Was down another 0.5 this morning, now I'm only 0.5 away from being a full 20 lbs down since I started this journey! I'm really proud of myself and impressed with how I've stuck to my guns and decided that this is a lifestyle change that I needed as I was heading for disaster.

I want to tell you all that I'm really grateful for all of your support and ideas. I feel so fortunate to be part of this forum. I see ladies at my gym and hear them complain about not being able to lose weight or find a diet they can stick to and I want to say "Hey, you should check out 3FC!". Perhaps one day I will and that will be my pay it forward of helping someone feel better about their journey.

Everyone is doing so good with this challenge. You guys are awesome and I can't wait until Labour day!

Cheers, Tamara

Ok so I weighed in this morning. Still at 195.5 so no changes, but after 5 days of camping that isn't too bad and it might go down a bit more when the heat goes away. Seattle has an extreme heat warning!? Seattle of all places, ugh so I am miserable!! Supposed to hit 96 today, possibly 100 and that is so unheard of that I like to whine whine whine! Anyway I am hoping my weight will go down some because I gave into wheat pizza with pepperoni yesterday when we got back, stayed in my cal limit but between the heat and salt my ring is Tight and it usually isn't. We will see on Monday when I weigh in as normal.

Sounds like everyone is doing great, wish I was losing as consistently as you sno, keep it up chunky banana you have already lost 17 pounds just remember how close that is to losing 20 and that is no small feat! Nessy 3 pounds in one week is awesome keep it up.

Good job, keep it up or a kick in the butt (apply which ever is needed) to anyone I missed.

Hi all:

hope you all are having a great week and working towards your 100% goals!!

Last night I made my hubby's cherry pie for his birthday. I noted I wanted to snack while I cooked so I chewed some mint gum which took care of that. I had one piece of pie and it was good! But it wasnt so good that I wanted to gain weight by eating more of that or anything else. I did have cravings but they just werent worth it. I am determined to make my goals and leave all the crazy eating behind.

cuppa: hang in there. it sounds like you are under a lot of stress so that will keep you from losing. Also, learning about what makes you gain or lose is really important. It is great you are still exercising! That will help with the stress too. Just keep working on it and keep posting--you will eventually see your results. Also, if you are having trouble with bloating, remember to drink water. I had lots of problems with water gain before I started drinking 96 oz of water a day. Now I dont yo-yo with my weight like I used to.

Chunkyb: just listen to edzard she is so right! Keep going that is the main thing. I went thru two long challenges--18 weeks each, where I kept trying to lose but could not get the eating under control. I decided to keep posting no matter what because I wanted to lose. I think all that work and all the lovely support I got finally kicked in and made me really motivated and able to really do it! Keep letting us know what your reasons are for wanting to lose and what are the obstacles.

ED: Good luck on the weigh-in! Camping is so awesome. I hope you really had a fantastic time--tell us about it!

Tamara: Great to hear this is working for you. It really works for me so I am glad when people get something out of it. Do you have any strategies for staying on plan for your vacation?

Have a great day all! Shoot for 100%--even if it seems impossible!

Sno - Beleive it or not my mom and sister have agreed to be on plan with me for my time in KS/MO. My sister is doing the plan most of the time but it will be a bit of an adjustment for mom. It's only for 8 days though and then I'm back home. My mom's place has a full gym and a pool plus she has a gazelle so I'll utilize that to keep up with my goals. I get in around 3 PM on Saturday and we're straight off to the grocery store to make sure I have what I need for the week. I'm lucky becuase my weeks start on Sundays so I can run my meal plan and grocery list for 15th to 22nd and that will tell me everything I need to buy. I'm really looking forward to getting some of the SF stuff in the US that I can't get at home.

I hope to be able to check in every couple days, but things will be hectic with the wedding on the 21st. I've already made a promise to myself that I will stick as close to plan as possible and still hope to lose at least 1 - 2 lbs while I'm away.

Cheers, Tamara
