Good morning everyone...TGIF!

I haven't posted in a while and I'm still sitting around 205...I think TOM is messing with me.

Here are the answers to the questions:

1. How I feel I have been doing over the last 13 weeks

I think I have done really well. I'm feeling good and things are progressing nicely. I need to make sure I make time to get to the gym.

2. I learned

I am learning to change my lifestyle and how to use portion control. I am also learning to make physical activity a part of my life...all the time.

3. My goals for the next 4 weeks!

My goal is to get to ONEderland by the end of August. I would like to be 196 by Labour Day. I also want to make sure I get to the gym at least 3 times a week (Curves), as well as use my bike at home on non-gym days.

Cheers, Tamara

Hey all got rid of the TOM weight and am now a pound down! So I will check in on Monday offically but this seems to be the time of the month where I will lose consistently for about 2-3 weeks so I am excited! When my weight goes up I seem to have this childish fear that it won't go back down or that I will get stuck, my confidence is always regained when the scale goes below where it was before. Have a great weekend all!

Default Friday!

Hi all!

The challenge is winding down--but dont worry--we will continue on and greet the new year a smaller size. I know from doing these challenges before that the holidays are a difficult time and I hope we all hang in there to come up with strategies for dealing with all those treats!

I am pleased that I am down 1 lb which puts me one lb away from my labor day goal! I am hoping I will keep losing at about 2-3 lbs a week and greet our next challenge 7 more lbs down! That woudl be great. I wore my new baby phat jeans today which I got compliments on-fortuantely a wore a fairly long peasant blouse--the zipper was not very secure! I hope that resolves.

Tamara--I am sure you can meet your goal. Sometimes weight does seem to stall at that transition to onederland--I am not sure why--there could be other reasons that you are having a stall--sometimes too many diet sodas can stall you, or not drinking enough water.

Ed- I totally relate--it is scary when weight goes up--especially if I have been trying hard--it feels like I cant win! I have found that drinking lots of water (96 plus oz) keeps my weight from fluctuating as much. But still--I can fluctuate 3-4 lbs from day to day. Particularly after I have lost weight. I am working on taking it in stride.

Have a beautiful weeknd all!

Well, i'm two pounds up this week. I'm hoping it's because i'm STILL expecting TOM(4 days late, but i'm told often colds can screw up your date?). But it could just be that the last 4 days of my vacation weren't the best for me exercise wise. I was very very sick and had trouble exercising, which meant that my only form was out walking my dog. I also of course lose out on all that walking I get done at work while i'm on vacation (8k+ a day at work, and usually an hour of exercise ath home on top of that). My eating habits were also attrocious since I wasn't able to go out grocery shopping and just ate whatever was left in the fridge. But today is a new day and i'm back ont he train. I won't let 4 days and 2 pounds derail me! I realise now its semi unrealistic to lose 7 pounds by labour day now to reach my goal, but i'm going to try with my utmost. I found a store nearby that sell turbojam so i plan on picking that up on thursday or friday when the store is open late. I'm also back to work which should help with the exercise part. The cold is still partially here, but being at work will be good for me, so that when boredom sets in I can't just walk to the fridge and eat whatevers availalbe.

Default Monday 3 weeks to go!

Hi all:

I am pleased to have made my labor day goal three weeks early! so maybe I will be closer to 211 by labor day. Oh this is fun. I was losing at about 2.8 lbs per week, but now it has evened out to about 2lbs a week--oh well. I think dieting would be easier if we lost more weight the longer we are on the diet! Would someone arrange that please!

Helpmelose: you are doing great! 3 lbs is such a nice amount to lose in a week.

Elegant: well didnt you just lose a bunch of weight too? Sometimes after you lose a bunch of weight your weight kinda goes up and down until it settles at the weight. But it is hard to see the numbers go up--I hate that!

Have a wonderful day all!

Snow Congrats! That is so awesome. I know you have been working very hard for a very long time. Way to go! Celebrate and buy yourself a nice new outfit or something...you deserve it. Do you still have that fabulous friend of yours that will treat you to a massage?

Well, I know many of you have listed it and I just wanted to add for the record that TOM is AWFUL!!! It has been soooo depressing for me. The scale went from 146 up to 151 and it was WATER WEIGHT. I had it so badly my skin hurt and it showed... I was so depressed and took it personally when one of the girls in the play I am doing said " you have a great face"...like oh yeah " great face...crappy body!"

But now that the scale is dropping, I am feeling a lot sunnier in my outlook and ready to conquer this last stretch of weight loss. I will however leave my ticker alone until I have stabilized and read the same weight 3 times in a row because I kind of ate some junk food when I was PMS'ing... Honesty...It is the only way to go. Although, I may get a jump start on the weight loss a little on the 24th because I have to have surgery and can only eat through a straw for two weeks.

Hope everyone else is a having a great day! I will post more later!

Hey all, still hanging in there, barely keeping up with the threads because of vacation time and illness in the extended family. I am not sure what is up with my weight! I feel like a yo-yo, every day is different and 3 times now I have gone up a few pounds and back down, driving me crazy! I was as low as 188 and high as 192 all in like a week and half time.

Trying not to let it get me down too much, gonna keep on trucking and hope that I can get as low as possible. I am still on average 10 pounds lighter now than I was two months ago, I am just feeling so motivated that I feel like the weight should just fly off lol!.

Have a great week, Oh and wish me luck I start working nights at Starbucks this week ( I am a stay at home mom, that homeschools ) so I will be moving a lot more than usual, 20-30 hours more to be exact, maybe it will help?

Sorry don't have time to post indiv. just keep up the good work all.

Default Great Job!

Hi all!

Had a great day today. I totally broke my rule and bought myself a pair of size 16 jeans. I cant fit in them yet--I can fit 16 W jeans. So it will be the next size. I dont stay all that long at sizes so I was trying to cut back. Fortunately they were only 15 bucks at Ross.

Aimin: it is so good to have you back--I hope you stay with us until you lose all your weight--I am starting a New Years Challenge next! Everyone seems excited about it! Gosh Aimin--I was just thinking how long have we been working on this together--you were in my 18 weeks until May challenge, right? Remember how I struggled? I am so happy now. I hate TOM--I am still on the pill that makes you not have your period. I was just thinking how happy I am I dont have that monthly bloat etc.

Ed: make sure you are drinking water--I swear it works! Good luck with starbucks. Have a nonfat, sugarfree, decaf cinnamon dolce latte with no whip for me!

Mary: whats wrong girl? It is hard to lose when you are depressed--believe me I know. I am on two antidepressants right now and they are keeping me relatively even in mood. Thanks for the props--I may actually look a little hot!

Have a great week all--remember we have 21 days left and a lot can happen in that amount of time!

WOW ! Congratulations snow! You totally rock dude!

I'm down 2 of 5 for this month. I'm not really doing much other than eating mindfully and exercising maybe 2x a week. I'm ok with maintaining too....

Mary, I'm sorry you've been in such a slump. Glad you're back around though.
