hi everybody h r u all? well im super busy this week preparing for my babys birthday im sooooooo excited so couldnt post n for my weight well TOMwas here last week n i neither lost nor gained which is good keeping in mind theway i was eating all the bad carbs ok gotta run n snow n all others who lost congrats u r doing an awesome job
Greetings everyone! i guess all are busy with summer plans.
I am prepping for our annual bbq which is on this Sunday so I couldn't get in a good hour of cardio yesterday I did do 20 minutes of yoga though...doesn't feel like it was enough but...it was better than nothing.
I ate mindfully and drank plenty of water so I'm trying not to beat myself up about yesterday and will do the cardio today!
Snow sorry to hear about your ankle. Hope it gets to feeling better. I have bad ankles from gymnastics and I know it's tough. New Years sounds even better....Maybe I can be in maintenance by then **wishful thinking**
Lekhika I am so proud of you for losing those 3 pounds! I wish my weight was flying off as quickly as yours! I think you will rebound just fine from the day of missed cardio. Congrats on the loss!

I am totally a slacker on housework this week except doing the dishes! But I have increased my walking to 45 minutes a day and my leg exercises to 45 minutes a day. And I have done some writing. Its all good--so what if I have a messy house!
Hmm--feeling hungry today and yesterday now that I think about it! Thats good news--I think when I feel hungry I am dropping weight! Yippee! Oh and I am 25/26 for the july mini challenge!
Taking a rest day today--I may not walk but I will do my exercises. The dog is bummed because she has really been enjoying the long walks!! My ankle and knee have been acting up a little but within an acceptable range I think. As long as I keep icing I think it will work and I will get stronger. Sigh!
Mary: my ankles have never been that great--dont know why--they are kinda thick. I have sprained them each twice and I think being so heavy puts more pressure on them. Hopefully I can be careful and not fall. I am counting on the weight loss to catch me a break too!
Lekhika: on the three pounds! And you were worried. That is great! Dont stress about the cardio--sometimes a good rest is just what we need.
Strawberry: keep in touch --we know how hard it is to try to lose with all the stress you have so just keep trying!
A week until my vacation and i'm two pounds shy of my july goal. My goal of 134 by Labour Day is looking doable so I'm pretty happy about that. I'm trying my best to keep positive of reaching 141 (8lbs loss for the month) by the end of this month, but my friends going away party is tomorrow night so I know i may have a few drinks (I'm going to try to stick with wine, because I drink this slowly, and it's a get drunk type of night and that happens quickly for me with wine). I'm pretty happy with the way things are going so far, but i'm now officially at the point where the weight is coming off my stomach and thighs (the last parts I tend to lose). This would be good if it weren't for all the lose skin that is suddenly appearing everywhere . At least once i've reached my goal weight it will nolonger be bathing suit season!
I've called my dad to reiterate the fact that i've been so good with making healthy choices on my diet and I'm hoping I can stick with it for my vacation (NEXT weekend). He's agreed to let me make my own breakfast and lunches, and has promised me that he won't make pasta (the epitomy of the food that makes me gain the fastest/most). This means my dad will be making me two dinners. I've prepared myself to allow a nice bbq meal or whatever he has planned, as long as the portions are small and half of my meal (OR MORE!) consists of salad.
In regards to the aftermath of my vacation, I realised that's when TOM comes. Could I have planned it more cruely? I'm going to hate the scale when I weigh myself after vacation for sure if it means the crimson rivers are flowing and i've cheated. But oh well.
I hope everyones doing well and having a good homestretch for the end of the month.
Have we thought of creating a before/after thread come labour day to show off everyones success? Could be a good motivator for the christmas challenge!

#1 I hope you have a fabulous vacation. That sound super supportive of your father as far as meal choices go. It'll make it a lot easier to stay on plan!
#2. Look! Let's hope the loss continues and we pound out those last two pounds by Tuesday! Yikes! I hope it's possible! YES...it is....push on!
#3. Post-Vacation weigh in....I say give it a week after you come home to weigh. I know easier said than done and it was torture not to weigh myself when I got back from vacation but it was worth it. And remember no matter what the scale says....it's just another lesson in our life long journey towards health and well being!
Lekhika: Thanks for the kind words. I'm going to try my best not to weigh myself until around a week after, but as you said easier said then done! I can see myself weighing myself the minute I get back in the door! Haha. Speaking of which, I just got to eager and decided I couldn't wait until tuesday to weigh myself. I'm down another pound so far this week, making me one pound shy of the 8 pound goal. Needless to say i'm pretty happy. Sundays are usually my weigh in date, but of course i'm pushing until tuesday, it being the end of the month and all. Meaning I have 4 more days to lose one. Pound.
We can do this! I wish I was as anal about my strength training as you are with your cardio. I really need to stick to my strength plan, but keep postponing it (i'll start again after TOM, oh i'll start again after vacation.. excuses excuses!) I need to give myself a swift kick in the ***. BUT the b/f has to work this weekend which means I get the place to myself quite a bit, so i'm looking forward to taking advantage and working out at home. Maybe get some tanning action in as well.

Good to hear about everyones successes. I've been on vacation for almost 2 weeks and I'm currently visiting with a friend for the next 3 days. Have know idea what the scale says but have my fingers crossed for Monday. I think I'm up abit but things are fitting normally so can't have done that much damage. I was camping for a week and was on track for 5 0f the 7 days so I'm 20 for 27 in July. I'll check in on Monday. Have a great weekend everyone.
well al i have been working out and feelling great! i had stopped eating good and like i said gained back up to 240.. .i weighed myself this morning and guess freaking what! 235 baby yeah uh huh thats rite im feeling dang good tryin to stay away from scales that way i can only weigh in one time a week... im going to work out tomaro as well i cant wait i really like feeling tha burn! LOL... anyhow im stuffed just wanted to check in id love to do the NEW YEARS CHALLENGE! i gotta go change my ticker lol later ladies keep up tha good work
Had a little nsv today. I bought some cherries at the grocery store and tried one in the car. A few mintues later I realized I was snacking automatically on the cherries as I drove. I caught myself when I realized and fortunately I had only eaten three. I realized that was common for me before to snack while driving.
Anyway had another 100% day to make it 25/27 so far for July. got my exercise in even tho I had a headache--took an advil but it didnt touch it.

Ok all doing my Monday check in for the labor day challenge, can't wait til I get it beat and then after September will look for the Christmas challenge. Is especially appropriate for me since my Birthday is the day after christmas, kinda a big goal point either way.
I am 189.5 with a goal of 187, I have lost 13 pounds so far! I am truly hoping that I can be 182/180 by labor day since I am so close but since I haven't made it to goal yet we will see

Okay so I am down only one pound from last week--but it puts me at a milestone--40 lbs lost! I cant complain about that! So far 27/29 for the July Challenge!

FINALLY! After 2 weeks of weighing the same... I finally dropped 3lbs. YAY!!!!! Onederland is getting closer and closer. I'm so excited. 18lbs seems like a little much to lose by labor day.. but you never know.. it could happen. I would be happy with any weight loss really. I got out some old mini skirts of mine that I use to wear all the time. I'm leaving them sit out as motivation. I probably will never wear them again, but I would love to be able to fit them and look good in them.. even if it is only around the house=) But my main thing is to get healthy. I feel a lot better and have a lot more energy lately which is great. I think my attitude has changed also. I feel more positive. I couldn't do this without you guys! Thank you so much for all of your support.
Wellllll it's almost August and I find that I have 16 pounds to lose this month to reach my Labor Day goal....HAHAHA. So my August goal is to lose 8 pounds, even though I know that totally means I won't make my Labor Day goal. But eh....I have tried really hard so far, and I know I have to be realistic about the goals I set for myself. I did lose 7 pounds this month (probably would be more if TOM wasn't here right at this moment), so I am feeling good!
How is everyone else doing!
So for the month of July I officially ended up losing 5 pounds. To reach my labour day goal of 134 I have to lose an even 10. Doable I suppose. But I've changed my goal to a loss of 8 pounds. I figure since my goal weight is 128-130 i'm going to divide the 14-16 I have left and try to lose 8 each month, for the next two months. With vacation coming up this may prove difficult, but i'm staying positive! Yay to another month down and one more to go! I can't wait to hear how everyones doing!
Sock- it sounds like you and I have both had to slightly change our labour day goal, but i think you still deserve a congratulations, after all you did lose 7 pounds this past month, so your 8 pounds is completely doable. You and I have the same goal for August, so it'll be nice and motivating to hear how your doing. TOM stops by for me next week, but I still managed to gain 2 pounds over the past two days. Sigh. Oh well, i've managed to stay on course throughout most of it, and it would be unrealistic to never expect a slip up or two. Let's bring on August!
