A group at the church decided to help one another lose weight. A friend of one of the members joined the weight-loss group, even though he wasn't a Christian. After four or five sessions, the young man left the group, saying, 'I thought we would help each other not eat. I didn't know you planned to pray and study the Bible. That junk won't help anyone.' As it turned out, the group was quite successful. The young man failed because he wouldn't entertain the idea that God could be any help. Those who believed in God trusted in Him, and they were rewarded.

Default Change of Plans

Good Morning
I was scheduled for a Stress Test this AM. Set my alarm for 6 so I could drink some water (could not have anything after 7) Somehow, I think drinking water like I did and laying back down for an hour was not a great idea. I've been nauseous for hours. And I feel shaky when I stand. UGH. I called and they changed my appointment to next Friday at 6:45 AM - joy. At least it will be over early, right?
Hoping this passes. Quickly.

morning!

yesterday was great up until DH wanted Del Taco I had 2 fish tacos and a small fry but I did remove one of the tortillas off of each one. They put them in two corn tortillas each. Stayed under calories, but fast food always causes water retention so scale not moving. 169.6 - yesterday was 169.2 so it could have been worse after the weekend's wine and shots! I didn't go overboard on anything over the weekend though, for a change.

I am waiting for someone from my IT department at work to answer me this morning - I can't get into my desktop from home through the engine we use to be able to work from home. My desktop at work seems to be off or something. Back in a bit...coffee is brewing!

breakfast update! made a flax pancake again this morning...super super yum! and healthy! Have an appointment at the gym at 12:40 today so I'll lift weights. I'm planning on that salad for lunch that I was going to have for dinner before Del Taco became a thing! ha ha

okay workout was good! Did some bench press, biceps dumbbell curls, and suicides (triceps) - I didn't get to do more because DH was finished and I needed to come home to get back to work. Probably going to have Del Real carnitas for dinner and maybe steam some broccoli.

1 piece thin sliced bread toasted 60 calories

juice equivalent to 60 calories
coffee w/cream & sugar

Lunch (270 Calories)
2 Siggi's yogurts 220 calories
Banana 100 calories

Dinner (660 Calories)
Lemongrass basil chicken w/basmati rice over spaghetti squash 510 calories
banana slices w/vanilla pudding 150 calories

Exercise:
rest day: I had a busy day and wasn't able to fit a workout in. I taught Bible class at the school and I went shopping for the Blessing Box. I did get quite a few steps from the shopping. My friend's Mom passed away this morning so I talked with her several times today. Just so much going on.

My parents and I will be getting our second Covid vaccination today. I will plan to stay over night with them tonight as I've heard that some people can feel pretty badly after that second one. I just want to be there with them, in case they have any side effects. I may not post tomorrow, depending on how things go.

I had a much better day yesterday. Took in 1335 calories and got in a bit of recumbent biking.

Today's Plan: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., stretches.

The cake looked great. Jim waited as long as he could, then, when his wife left the room, he grabbed a small piece. Thinking he would stuff it quickly into his mouth before his wife returned, he turned quickly, and the cake fell from his hand. He reacted instinctively and snatched the falling cake. As his wife reentered, he tried to hide his cake-covered hand, but to no avail. He was caught, and there was no way to deny it. We need to stick to our diets and keep our hands clean of the foods we know we should avoid. Draw close to God and away from food. It's the best way.

Today's thought: If you cheat, you lose everything but weight!
