Today was sort of up and down diet/health wise. I ate my normal breakfast of quiche with coffee. I had a small morning splurge and stopped for another med Dunkin coffee with 1 pump hazelnut. My throat felt phlegmy (yay allergies...) and I wanted a little more hot liquid to soothe it.
I resisted the free lunch at work today (mediocre looking pizza) and ate the salad that I packed. I ended up working later than expected and also felt a bit low after being criticized by a colleague in the late afternoon. The mistake wasn't my fault and I was put in a bad situation. Nothing major, but killed my afternoon momentum. I was absolutely starving by the time I left work and didn't want to cook. I stopped at my favorite Taco Tuesday spot and had a small plate of mini chicken tacos and 2 light draft beers.
I then got my 4 mile walk in and watched the sun set while listening to an enjoyable podcast. My hiking boots are feeling a little better. I only needed to stop once due to foot pain. I wore them as loose as I could without them falling off. Internet research says that breaking in hiking boots can be quite a process. I'm also someone who generally prefers shoes with no support. I wear flimsy flats to work and like my sneakers extra flexible. The adjustment process continues....

Good Morning, Everyone!
Steps for yesterday: 12,143
This Morning: Oxycise
Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!
Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters
March 31
Isaiah 55:12
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Our God is a God with a plan for His creation. Everything was created for a reason. God created us in His image, and His plan for us is to live a full, joyful, creative existence. We can best do this by keeping ourselves fit and trim and healthy. God rejoices, as does all His creation, when we live up to the potential He created in each one of us. When we succeed in our dieting attempts, we take a step toward fulfilling our purpose in life, and we go forth in joy and peace which passes any earthly joy or peace. Praise the Lord.
Today's thought: Thank you, Lord, for bringing me this far!

ARGH!!!
I've had Tinnitus 24/7 since August as a result of tapering off of Gabapentin, I think. (I've been completely weaned off Gabapentin since October) I have habituated the Tinnitus so that it does not interfere with my life. But, this morning i awoke with the intensity turned up to an unbearable level. I do not know how to deal with this. It is truly awful.
I am feeling panicked. I cannot get away from this.
Please pray for me.

morning!
Tealer what do you do for work? Let it go right by you...coworkers deflect alot.
Change4Life sorry for your discomfort! Will pray for peace and relief for you!
I had my pork chop last night, which I stir fried in avocado oil spray with mushrooms and broccoli. Added Del Real green salsa (which I love!) and some light sour cream. I did have a piece of chocolate and half a sleepy cookie
So I just made a flax pancake and put a very thin layer of organic creamy peanut butter and a smidgen of honey on it. Delish! We have a gym reservation at 12:20 where I'll do 35 minutes on the elliptical, then we're going to order Panera. I will get the chinese chicken salad which is amazing
working at home right now...need to get back to it since the books won't keep themselves!

ChangeforLife- I hope you feel better. That sounds absolutely awful. Sending good vibes your way.
‐---------------‐-------------------------
I ate a blueberry grape nuts parfait with coffee for breakfast and taco salad for lunch. On track so far. Resisted Chinese food at our lunch meeting. I came in late and didn't want to reach for food in front of everyone. Definitely made it easier.
I'm a month out from my hiking trip and hope to drop 10ish pounds. Im real tired of the 270s.
Good luck everyone!!!!

I literally started to eat right today, please tell me, is there anyone who counts calories? How many calories should you stick to to lose weight? What can and cannot be supported while losing weight on proper nutrition?

Good afternoon! Change, have you tried irrigating your ears with hydrogen peroxide? That’s what my doctor said to do for it. Just got home from power walking and running errands in a neighboring community. Also did 2 miles Leslie Sansone this morning. Will go for another power walk and run errands in a few minutes. 😁🍀😷❤️
