Teri, I had the Moderna vaccine. Hang in there on getting your vaccine. Just be persistent. People do seem to have differing reactions.

Change4Life, Nancy, Usc4valpo, Jen, Larry, I hope all is well with you all? Miss your posts.

I did okay yesterday, even after eating a take-out birthday dinner for a friend of mine. I took in 1440 calories.

Today's Plan: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/supp., stretches, squats, recumbent bike.

March 27

Psalm 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

I can remember a time when I was on the verge of tears because I was so hungry. I had fasted for almost five straight days, and some friends of mine walked in eating cheeseburgers. The smell assaulted my nose, and the sight of the burgers caused my stomach to clutch and growl. I look back on that incident now and realize that I could not have made it, if it hadn't been for the Lord. When I think of God as my shield, I think of all the times I feel like giving up because I'm too weak to fight. At those times I'm all the more thankful that I have God to rest upon.

The trip will basically be a reunion of a bachelorette weekend that occurred 3 years ago. Unfortunately someone joined the txt chain late and is unable to make the date we picked out after everyone else agreed. I'm hoping it doesn't turn into too much back and forth over dates and then nothing gets booked.

I'm a little over on calories for the day, but generally getting back into the groove of meal prep/tracking. I really like the taco salad. I made 3 for the week. The next time I make a batch, I'll use less veggie burger to bring the calories into the 500s.

Breakfast ---
---2 Slices whole wheat toast - 220 kcal
---2 cups of coffee - 0 kcal
---1/2 C Califa better half - 60 kcal
---2 cups of frozen broccoli - 60 kcal
---2 eggs - 140 kcal
---Veggie Just Crack an Egg - 190 kcal
---CALORIES = 670

Lunch --- Taco Salad
---Black Beans - 130 kcal
---Romaine Lettuce
---1 oz Cheddar Cheese - 110 kcal
---1 Large Tomato - 30 kcal
---Chopped Veggie Burger - 170 kcal
---2 oz light balsamic - 90 kcal
---0.5 oz tortilla strips - 80 kcal
---CALORIES = 610

Dinner---
---Tomato basil quiche
---CALORIES = 400

Good Morning, Everyone!

I'm exhausted this morning. I feel really heavy and swollen. Not enough sleep, eating late and heavy food last night is not a good thing. There will be a "grandparents" baby shower tonight after church. Today we will also be visiting a church member who is in an assisted living place. We can now visit on their porch. I know she will enjoy that. I have to go to church early to practice singing. We all have separate mics so we are not close together. I also have work to do on the Blessing Box. Way too much stuff to do. So I need to keep my focus on the things I need to get done and not to soothe with food. Water is my friend.

Steps for yesterday: 13,970
This Morning: Oxycise

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

2 Timothy 2:12
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.

Jesus Christ arose from the dead, glorified and renewed. Before He could ascend to this glory, He had to suffer many things. Much in this life requires sacrifice and suffering before we can attain it. Ask any dieter. The road to thinness is a rugged one. Be-fore we can stand up trimmer and healthier, we must buck up and buckle down. There is very little that is pleasant about dieting, except the end result. Jesus Christ understands what it means to sacrifice better than we ever can. By our sufferings we draw closer to Christ. One day we will reign with Him.

Today's thought: The power of Christ lifts me above all suffering!
