I am not doing well, and not sure how to get out of this "not doing well" place. it's not about food/exercise. It is about relationships that are imploding and exploding. It is effecting my ability to sleep. i love deeply, which always makes me hurt deeply when things unravel. And not knowing why is such a struggle for me. My heart is broken right now. Could use prayers.

I started exercising today. I walked 4 miles and started breaking in my new hiking shoes. Getting ready for a 1 week hiking trip in late April where we will do 7-10 miles per day. My shoes really started bothering me around mile 3. My legs and feet were fine. Hopefully the shoes start feeling better as I break them in. I never really liked hiking boots and wear sneakers for day trips. I did meal planning and food shopping for the week. Starting to settle into a new routine. Glad to be down 3 pounds, even though it's likely water weight.

I just ordered some new meal prep food containers. Some nicer glass Pyrex ones and some cheaper plastic containers. Project back on track is coming along.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I also love deeply and can have difficulty when things don't go well.

Ciecie - Thanks for the shout out. I was overdue for some new containers. I'm going to make my next reward a new lunch bag or 2 for work. Glad you're progressing with the fitness goals. Feels good to make progress.

Well hello all my favorite chicks!
whew had a lot of reading to do starting with page 15....took me all afternoon but I am caught up.

It is good to see that everyone is doing well, just a few bumps and bruises it looks like.
Welcome tealer....this is a great group and so very very supportive.
Sky, hasn't Rachel really done well to lose the weight and keep it off? You will get there or be very close by the time your Vegas trip gets here.
change, prayed for you...when the heart hurts we all hurt
Diana, did not see any WI so are you still holding off? or did I miss something. So glad you got your washer going again!
Teri, come on girl! lets get on that bike and go.....I am all talk and no action this past month so just ignore me
ciecie, how is the remodeling going? Did you find another was it toilet? anyway I know you will be happy when everything is done.
Rachel I am sorry the second covid shot was rough on you, how about your parents did they experience the same thing? Are you still considering hip replacement or is that something way in the future?

I have been battling a virus with allergy type symptoms for over 30 days now. There really is not much anyone can do so I think I finally found a combination of things that reduces the symptoms. I am using generic zyrtec and a cool mist humidifier next to me, yesterday I developed a cold sore in the corner of my mouth and another one is popping up on the underside of my upper lip. Other than my nose troubles I am doing fairly well. I have seen a small loss so far this month. This is a surprise since I have not been to the gym. I am drinking much much fewer adult beverages then I can remember. (this has been my goal for some time)

It was so good to catch up on all of you. I will try to lurk less and post more xxoo-nancy

Default Good morning

Nancy, When I saw your name this morning, I said "Yay!" Always so good to see you. Thanks for hanging in there with us.And thanks for your encouraging words. My Dad also felt like he was hit by a bus after the Covid shot, but it did not last much past 24 hours. Mom just said her legs were sore. Seems like she did better than Dad and me, as far as side effects! Yes, I still need to do something about my hip. I have an appointment with a specialist in June. Maybe surgery in ?August?. Need to plan it so I have caretakers lined up for Mom and Dad during that time.

Ciecie,, is "Places in the Heart" the movie with Sally Field and John Malcovich? If it's the one I'm thinking of, I've always liked that one.

Change4Life, my heart goes out to you and I am praying for you, dear chick. May you be uplifted and encouraged. I ask this in Jesus' Name. Thanks for sharing with us. During this journey, it's important to share feelings and struggles. Please stay with us.

Tealer, you have a great plan down. Way to go on walking all those miles!

Where are our other roosters and chicks? Hope all are well.

I took in 1830 calories yesterday. I ate some high-calorie stuff at Mom and Dad's. I don't think I met any of my goals for yesterday. Today's a new day.....

Today's Plan: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., situps, squats for my hips, stretches, recumbent bike.

Good Morning!

CieCie: I watched bios on Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner. It would have been really nice to have seen them in concert...

Nancy: Gee, I hope you start feeling better..

Rachel: I was looking at recipes of foods from restaurants from Disney World that sound really good...like African stew, coconut meatballs, pineapple meatballs, grapefruit cake, hummingbird cake, etc. Maybe you can get some ideas for cooking for your parents..

Tealer: I really like glass containers with glass lids for microwaving. I hope you find them to be really helptful...

Thinking about you, Change and Jen...

Diana: I wish I could tell you something to do that is more fun than eating. ...I am hoping that the wave pool will be open this summer...

I weeded on Saturday and was bit by a tick or a spider on Sunday. Ooh. I biked early this am. I am still eating a little too much...cheesecake, sundae and cookies...

Have a good week.
