Good evening! Diana, thatís great you were able to get caught up on things. I took the bus to a neighboring community to power walk and run errands there. Will go for another power walk and run errands in a few minutes. 😁🍀😷❤️

Hi gang, many thanks for your thoughts and prayers. She is out of the ICU and talking. This is a tough situation, and I’m not sure how long she will be here. Only my wife can see her because of COVID, which is good that she can be there.

had fish tacos and chips for dinner which were great. Got 22k steps in.

Usc, thanks for update on your mother-in-law. Tough situation. Keep us informed.

Diana, so nice to think of you relaxing with a good magazine to peruse

Syckgirl, Wowser on that gym workout!!! Way to go, chick!

I took in 1210 calories yesterday. I did the bike, sit-ups and squats. Forgot to take my vit/min/cal supp. I need that extra calcium!

Today's Plan: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., squats, maybe leg curls for weights

Good Morning, Everyone!

Today the repair people are coming out to make the repair on the washing machine. I hope this works. I have been washing clothes at my friends place as well as the laundromat. I am very grateful for these options. But I have a lot of stuff that I have been holding off from washing like bed spreads, chair covers, etc. We have a dog so we use chair covers on our recliners. We are so used to having the convenience of a washing machine/dryer in our house. Really makes you appreciate things when you don't have them. This afternoon I have a hair appointment. We are suppose to be getting some bad weather today. Hopefully things won't be as bad as they are predicting.

Rachel Good job on your calories and workout.

Steps for yesterday: 6,090
This Morning: Oxycise

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

March 18

2 Timothy 1:12
. . .I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

'You can't lose weight. You've never stuck with anything in your whole life.' Those words haunt me all the time-every time I slip and eat something I know I shouldn't. I hate it when people think I'm too weak to succeed in my diet. I hate it even more when I prove them right. Still, being ashamed of failing at my diet is often good for me. If I am ashamed enough, then it helps me stick with it the next time. God has helped me a lot to conquer negative shame. I have committed my diet to Him, and He is true to help me keep on track.

Today's thought: I'll prove to all my skeptical friends that I am capable of losing weight.

Rain. Rain. Rain. Torrential Rain and more Rain!!!
So much for walking every day this week!!
I've lost another pound. Hallelujah! And I'm seeing some differences in the way i look in clothes. I tried on a "cold shoulder" top and my shoulders look defined. And my knees actually have a bump rather than a blob. Progress!
Been staying on plan with food.
Last night Salad with Grilled Chicken, Avocado, Tomatoes, Fresh Broccoli and Cauliflower and Pistachios. Yum.
I was 211 this morning. So close to hitting a new decade!!
I can't wait to say I'm 209....which means 199 is on the horizon. It has been over 20 years since I was in ONEderland.
I failed miserably at exercising yesterday. I pulled a groin muscle the day before. I slipped on my deck trying to move a large plant. Deck was wet from all the rain. UGH.
Blessings to all!

I'm washing clothes! Praise the Lord! Our hair appointment has been cancelled due to weather. Good thing is that I have the time to get the stuff washed and house cleaned up a bit.

hello and good morning!

USC I had fish tacos and chips last night, too!
Rachel you and I are about the same height (I was 5'8 but probably a little less now due to shrinkage with age) and you were the weight I am now when you started...would you mind sharing with me how you lost the weight? I'm having trouble now and I never did before...is it a particular diet or exercise? I just need new ideas...my old tricks don't seem to work any more!

okay so...I did well yesterday up until DH wanted to go out to BJs (indoor dining has JUST opened up here in L.A.) for St. Paddy's Day! But I did better there than I normally would have. I also went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the eliptical to burn 344 calories so that helped. My whole body is some kind of sore today!

yesterday looked like this: breakfast: chicken apple gouda sausage in a folio cheese wrap, Lunch: salad with romaine, chicken breast, reduced fat feta, 2 tbsp of wonton strips (salad topping, I need a crunch!), wishbone jalapeno lime vinaigrette, Dinner: mahi mahi fish tacos (fish was fried) and tortilla chips w/salsa, 2 shots of Jameson whiskey and a Lightswitch Lager beer. THEN I had 2 glasses of wine later after we got home. So the scale didn't move again! Grrrrr...well I knew it wouldn't and it was nice to get out like that for a change! the only times over the last year we've eaten in a restaurant were in Vegas!

I'm thinking I'll just make a protein shake for breakfast.
