Good afternoon! Power walked and ran errands this morning. New toilet wasn’t in. We’re checking other Home Depots and Lowe’s. Tim did pick up the shower curtain rod and lighting fixture. 😷🍀😁❤️

lunch time!

I have sautéed leftover pork chop from Omaha and broccoli in avocado spay oil. Have not used the microwave in weeks! Put a little A1 on it, yum! I did end up making a strawberry 310 shake with almonds and almond milk this morning. Doing good so far! NO exercise today I am in PAIN.

Syck, you take it easy and recover. You did great with your food choices for lunch. Did another 2 miles Leslie Sansone this afternoon. Will go for a power walk and run errands in a few minutes. 😷🍀😁❤️

Ciecie thank you! I did add a piece of sourdough toast with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray...I was hungry! I am curious about Leslie Sansone...does this help you to lose or just maintain?

hello! winding down my workday in a few and looking forward to dinner that DH made! Del Real pork chile verde with broccoli and pinto beans, and green salsa. I think I'll eat with tortilla chips and a little light sour cream.

pretty good day food-wise, though I can absolutely NOT move without suffering today so hopefully tomorrow I can do a step workout. We've reserved 12;00 at our gym for Saturday and if I can't lift anything I'll do some elliptical. Bring on Friday! This has been one crazy week!

Default Good morning

Teri, do you give your cat some canned food? That adds extra moisture to their diets.

Syckgirl, thanks for asking! At the time I weighed around 168, I started counting my calories and took in 1200-1500 per day plus did treadmill mostly for exercise. The treadmill exercise was not extreme at all; I probably did 1 mile to 1 1/2 miles at a slow pace. Plus I did start a weight-lifting regime, but again it was not extreme. I was consistent though with whatever exercise I did plus the calorie count. For me, I believe the calorie count is most important. I DID hit a serious plateau in my 150's. I did the Nutrisystem plan for about 4 months and weight dropped to 140. During that time my calorie count was about 1200 per day consistently. Easy to do on Nutrisystem. Doing the Nutrisystem plan was very helpful for me in learning about my eating habits which cause weight gain plus coming up with a plan I can use now.......meals of about 300 calories with snacks in between seem to work best for me. I DO eat a lot of veggies (big salads). The past 8 months or so, my hip (which needs to be replaced) has really decreased my exercise tolerance (do recumbent bike plus some weight-lifting now as I can tolerate). If I could exercise more right now, I would be able to increase my calories. Summary: for me, consistency and calorie count seem to be key. I also should mention that weight loss has been slow for me. Just start over each day. Being accountable to this group has also been very helpful for me.

I took in 1450 calories yesterday. Did not get any weights lifted yesterday. Met the rest of my goals.

Today's Plan: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, cal/vit/min supp., sit-ups and squats and stretches.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

March 19

Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Let's not call it our diet; let's call it God's diet. No, that doesn't mean God has to lose the weight. It means that we diet because it's what God wants of us. If it's God's diet, then God will help make sure that it goes well. He will bless those who diet in His name. It may sound silly to diet for God, but, as Christians, we are called to do everything in His name. When we live our lives as an offering to God, then we let the whole world know who gives us our strength and courage. If God is for us, then nothing can stand against us.

Today's thought: Dieting for God is a joy and a comfort!

Hello!

Bravo Change!

Rachel, CieCie: Thanks for the advice. I have some canned tuna and canned chicken, some chunky, some pureed that I am feeding the cat. I am not so sure about dry food, one high fiber...I have another cat, so it complicates things. I was using a syringe, but a dropper works better. My cat is a really good sport. Afterwards, he comes around and rubs my legs...

Cats have a very sensitive digestive system. It is better, I think, if you can find one item to meet their food needs...

Diana: Good for you, all that walking!

Syck: Your diet sounds so tasty...
