hehe.....I get the happy dance everytime I open our pantry door!! I keep our dog's food in a bin, and when its feeding time.....she dances around, sniffs the bin/scoop (to make sure its really food) and then dances to her dish. too funny....same thing everyday!!!

Just got in from a great workout. 30 min run on the treadmill and 20 minutes on the eliptical. Question?....when you work out on the treadmill,...do your feet go tingly and numb? I forgot about this sensation, I used to do the eliptical years ago and got the same feeling. Strange huh? Have a great day.

good question!! dh is probably out of town for the actual date (14th) but a very good friend has invited us to her 'annual' Valentines dinner. The boys will stay home and watch a movie/popcorn as this is just for grown ups. Her dinners are usually a 5 course meal so I'll have to be extra careful with the calories, of course....a good workout in the morning won't hurt either.

With MY mr romantic we'll probably just hang out at home and watch TV. Hmmmmmm It does fall on my weekend so maybe I can talk him into going to Ft. Bragg for a little celebration........ naahhhhh, lmao, This is the man who gave me 5 cards the V-day after we met, and now says he doesn't have to get me another until 5 years is up. *sigh* Whaddayado? lol.

Oh, BTW He's much better about the gym thing now. I think he was playing a little psych game with my head. ( I still think there's a lil insecurity going on too), but he mentioned the other nite for me to keep up the great work and don't let me prove him right. (about how I always quit things)....

OK Hi ya'll PIC's!!! I'm in a quandry now- again lol. I went to the Dr. today and my A1c is down (6.4) YAYYYYYY but my cholestorol not so hot. (the good one is down and the bad one is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy up- hence the phone call last week asking if I were still taking my meds- which I havent been- cuz who in freakin H-E-double-hockysticks can afford them?!?!?!?!?!). Now, he suggests that WW may not be the right diet for me at this point in my life. He suggested I try South Beach.

Petra~ I'm still really interested in Four Corners. Would the two programs be comparable? Since I have the book, and because it's not as strict as SB (?), I'm thinking Lee will be less freaked out by the change. heheheheh... it's getting obvious he doesn't like change much huh? And actually, since my A1c is down, then my carb consumption isn't so bad as to adversly affect my glucose. And I'm assuming my cholest. is so way up cuz I wasn't taking my meds so actually switching to less carbs(thereby limiting my fruits and some veggies) and more full fats would drive that up??? AARRGGHHHHH I'm starting to get confused again!! I'm gonna stay with what I'm doing til I can talk to my nutritionist again lmao. I was supposed to meet with her today too but she had a family emergency and had to fly home suddenly. hehehe thanks petra -I feel better

Curly~ LOL I can't wait til I can get a dog agian... but fyi cats have a happy dance too! Loud and annoying and dangerous too cuz they're weaving in and out between your legs lmao. But I'm sure you're aware of that too cuz you have cats! lol. My old kitty has an alarm clock set for morning and 7pm too. she'll just sit on the lil rug in front of the fridge, stare at you and every few minutes she'll "mrroowww" at you, til you feed her something and omg it's hystaricle if you walk thru the kitchen without opening the fridge hahahahaha...

Had a great workout yesterday again. tonight I'll do WATP. You all have a great nite/day!!

Hi PICS - I am here just lurking in the background

I have been so busy with work and school that I haven't had much time for reading the posts, never mind trying to keep up everyday.

I am still going strong on protein power and getting close to my valentine's goal.

Take caren all and see you again soon !

Hi Everyone!

Angel Eyes Budokon is a combination of power yoga and martial arts. Here is it's webpage. http://budokon.com/ I wouldn't use it for my main workout but I've been using it as a secondary workout to stretch and relax.

I don't know what we're doing on Valentines day. Since it's a weekday I'll probably end up cooking!

Dee glad to hear your sugar is down. I just got my doctor results back and she said I'm doing great. My cholestorol was good at 150 I think which is way down from last time. My triglicerides were good and my sugar was 90 & my AC score was 4.6. Basically my doctor is very happy with what I've been doing.

Curly thats weird about your cats not meowing! Mine are all noisey. I'm getting 2 new foster kittens on Thursday. The two girls are being spayed tomorrow. I'm so excited about having a couple kittens in the house again!

well... I know for sure now that the feral (she looks like a himmy) that i have been feeding and trying to tame is a female!!! ... cuz her suitors came calling last nite! I had a feeling she/he .. (she for sure now) was @ 4-6 months old.. when i got home from work last nite there were a pack of tom cats chasing her around..

One huge garfield looking one, a gray tabby, a pure bred siamese... E GADS! well i imagine @ April 15th there will be some new additions around here... and then she will have to be trapped and spayed..

Val how many babies should I ship out to you? {making a note... Val likes baby kittens}

and ya know what she cant meow either!!!! she just hisses when she trys to meow.. I must get all the weirdo cats!

Hello PIC'ers!

I have not dropped off of the earth, but I'm not doing the greatest either. After my workout at the college I use the locker room to shower and change. Well the lights are controlled by sensors. There are sensors in the locker room about every three feet. Well I took my shower after my workout yesterday and changed into my clean clothes and poof the lights go out. So I gingerly make my way to the door side stepping lockers and benches and BAM I ran into a bench that sits against the wall that I hadn't even noticed before. I didn't break my toe, but it is a sore little burger so I am not hitting the fitness center today.

Sorry for the book.

Hi PIC's... Woke up to a beautiful light snowfall this morning.....now we have almost 2"...go figure!!! Its the nice sticky snow, so maybe a snowfight later on when the boys get home!! ...Kinda a lazy day for me, yesterday I did some eliptical and now really feel a tightness behind one of my knees. (even though I stretched) so I'm taking a rest day. I'm going to get my sewing machine out and take in some of my clothes!!! ....now THAT'S an exciting day!!!

Hi Girlies!

Hope alla the PIC's are out enjoying this glorious day!! It's so beautiful. Or maybe you're having a great snowball fight. LOL. Whatever you did today I hope it was something enjoyable........ I've had a lazy Sunday. It's MY sunday anyways. Gotta go back to work tomorrow. It's a good thing I like my job lol.

I don't think I've been real OP this week, but I don't think I've done to badly for myself either. I go to weigh-in tonight and that will tell me some. I also know that my 6 days/week working out has got to be helping too. I really want to UP my cardio work. Get those big muscle groups working and doing something with the fat in those muscles that I know are in there somewhere. I've been kind of perusing my Covert Baily's Fit or Fat book today. Do any of you know if his info is still good? (65-80% of max heartrate for best fat loss) my target heartrate would be 114-140. I've actually been working at the top endof that scale.. The last few days when I'm on the elliptical, my chest hurt a little bit(right side not left. Prolly nothing, but if it continues I'll talk to someone about it. I'm thinking-hoping maybe I was just working myself too hard so I'm going to kick it down a notch and keep myself under 130. SO Am I overanalyzing again> lol.

I'm gonna finish this post then off to work out and weigh-in after that.

Beatlesfan~ ouchiessss... maybe they oughta supply ya with night vision goggles too lol. Hope ya toe feels better soon!!!!

AngelEyes~ LMAO at the thought of me and a sewing machine. ok.. did you ever hear of ANYONE flunking sewing in Jr. High school???? I did! It must feel rewarding tho to be able to do that! Have a wonderful day!

Curly~ My big fat cat didn't make a noise for the first 4 years I had him. He would look at you and his mouth would meow, but nothing would come out. Now he does squeak a bit tho lol. My Old girl kitty tho.... man she makes noise enough for everyone lmao

Val~ glad to hear your results were good. THere was no question in my mind that you would be down with how hard you've been working. Now, How do you keep all these animals and know you will have to give them up eventually. I don't know if I could do it lol. Clyde's owner (who just flat out abondend him when they moved) showed up a few months later and had the nerve to tell me she was gonna come get him when they found a place to live and I told her OVER MY DEAD BODY lol. I get so attached. YOu have such a great heart!

TLB~ Nice to see you and glad you're doing well GF!

Petra~ You must be having a busy weekend. Hope work hasn't overloaded you.

I'll bbl all. Gotta go hit the road.

Hi Everyone!

It's snowing here today! Looks like we're goingto have a couple inches. I'm going out for dinner tonight with some friends to a steakhouse type place. I decided I'm goign to have pork chops since I see on fitday that 2 are only 309 calories. I've actually never had pork chops before! Anything other then chicken at this point would be good

Curly if the cat had half himmy & half siamese that would be cute! Hopefully she's not having any babies!

I was so mad today when I found out that one of the kittens I was supposed to get the person changed her mind. Apparently the husband doesn't like the cat and told her to get rid of it. But now they're saying lets give it a another chance. I know whats going to happen in a few months when the kitten isn't cute anymore they're going to try to give it back to us. I said forget it! If she doesn't give it to me now I'm not goign to take it. The last thing I need is another female tortie adult that I can't get adopted!

Sorry for the rant. I just hate bad pet owners! Dee is it very hard to give them up. The last 2 fosters I had for 6 months and was very attached. I still miss them but feel happy that they're in a good home.

Gwena I 'm sorry you hurt your toe! That sounds really painful!
