YEAH....PETRA'S HERE...PETRA'S HERE!!!! You've got to come back and fill us in, we've missed you!!! Hope you're relatively stress free with all those job offers!!!

Curly.....GREAT JOB!!! phew, a 3 mile walk first thing in the morning!!! good girl. I bet chai LOVED IT!!! Your new ac sounds like it sure does the trick!! yeah, I would run (not walk) to the nearest store and get another if it works that good. How ya loving your new hair do? hmm, haven't seen those new pics yet.

Valerie.....don't despair.... its TOM alright....!!!and the carbfest combined. Just do what you normally do and it'll flush itself out!!

I'm back to starting day #1 of OP (again) I keep derailing after a few days, but just got back from a great workout and I was able to run again for 20 minutes. (yippie) ....not that I love running, I mean its okay....but it really pushes the amount of calories burned to such a higher level....THATS WHAT I REALLY LOVE ABOUT IT!!! My scale read 199.5 today, time to buckle down if I want to be 15lbs lighter by August (and my fabulous trip back home....!!!)

Curly you sure sound motivated! Keep up the good work!

Angel good job on the running! It's such great exercise! I wish I could run on the treadmill but I know I'm not ready for that yet!

Petra good to see you stopping in!

I had an ok day today. I had an early work day and was high on the calories. I'm still trying to figure out how to keep my calories lower when I'm working.

2032 calories, 655 deficit, 45 minutes curves

okay.....here's my accountablity for today, day #1:
I ate OP but strugglesd late afternoon with wanting to snack. Instead I kept busy and drank water, I finished my day with 1735 calories and I worked out for 1.5 hours (approx 600 cal burned). I'm trying to break my icecream habit and tonight had a small yogurt tube that I froze. Not bad....it was nice and freezy cold so that helped! I find sometimes my mouth gets really hot and I need something to cool it (me?) down. Does that makes sense? yeah, I know I'm perimenopausal I need to make better carb choices and will fine tune tommorow's foods. Bread is my nemesis, even if it is whole wheat with fibre!!! Tommorow is ds's last day of school and his icecream party!!! WHAT??.... my plan is to chew gum for the party.Wish me luck!!

yep bread is BAD! everytime i go to the store and get my sugar free jam & sugar free peanut butter... i stroll to the end of the aisle and look lovelingly at the whole wheat bread.. i know WW is good for me.. but i just know that it would not be safe at my house... plus now that i have gotten out of the habit of eating any bread... I think thats a habit i should continue on with.. JUST FORGET BREAD ALL TOGETHER ... lol now if its cousin "cake" would just stop calling me!

Last day on June 1? We never got out that early!

I only have a couple minutes because I have to take the boys to day care this morning. As you can see I've gained a couple pounds. I haven't fallen off the wagon but I haven't been as careful as I should have been either. I decided today was a good day to start back to journalling and my good habits.

I have 2 interviews scheduled. The first is on the 9th in Biloxi at the VA Hospital. I'm hoping that goes well because I think it will probably be my first choice. The second one is on the 30th in Laurel, MS which is about 1 1/2 hours north of Biloxi and about 2 hours from NO. It's a small town, small hospital based practice. The big benefit of going there is that I can get my student loans repaid because it is considered an underserved area. Enough people here are starting to know that I am looking that it is causing some anxiety. Patients don't know of course.

Talk to you more later. Good to see all the regulars.

Morning PIC's!!
Yeah, ds has year round school and although the summer break is a bit longer, he usually only has 3 weeks off between sessions. Today is his last day and then he goes back the week of July 15th.**sigh**

Great to hear about the job offers Petra!!! choices, choices....such a stressfull time. Your ticker looks good to me though....

Curly.....get those pj's off and get out the door!!! can't work in those now can you? hehe....yesterday was pj day at ds's school and we were walking out the door and I asked him (very quietly).....do you have underwear on underneath? haha...no! he couldn't understand why since he didn't wear underwear underneath while going to bed, why did he have to wear them underneath to go to school. ahhhh, the mind of a 8 yo!!!

STAY OP PICK'S!!! and chug a lug!!!!

Kept my fitday journal yesterday for the first time in over a month. That was revelation! I had 85 grams of carbs and 1900 calories. No wonder I've gained a couple pounds. Well, I know what I need to do, it is just a matter of getting down to business and doing it. Low carb ice cream is starting to be a problem for me so I think I may have to stop buying it. I might only get those bars instead. It's easier to keep track of how much you are eating that way. I'm also starting to wonder if I need to stop buying low carb bread for awhile too. I've gotten a little too used to having it around.

I'm still doing pretty good with walking the dogs most mornings although the weather is gross this morning so we are skipping today. Maybe it will be better when I get home this afternoon.

Has anyone seen that Sonic commercial with the Jr. Banana splits? I'm astounded by it. Clearly advertisers understand the addictive nature of some kinds of food. It's a shame it takes such a long time for everyone else to catch on and realize it isn't a joke.

Morning!!

Petra....you are so right about the sneaky commercials and packaging tricks. I find I def. eat more icecream (whether its low carb, low fat....) if its in a large container vs the individual bar types. Actually thats been one my biggest downfalls.

Yesterday at the icecream party, I had psyched myself up NOT to have one and then they overserved and there was 2 leftover. I realized (not for the first time....) that I have a MAJOR PROBLEM with being left out, as in everyone else is having something to eat and I don't. Those feelings are really key to an emotional cue. So of course I had some but after the party I worked out twice as much for a 550 calorie burn. I think that more than makes up for the icecream and the rest of the day was according to plan. well, carbs were up but the overall day was good. I didn't let that party make me have a major slip for the day.

Curly.....you still chugging that water? good girl!!! Any walk time planned for today? just checking up on you.....

Today is a new day and I'm already dressed and ready for the gym. Here's to day #2 OP for me!!! Have a great day.

Curly hula hoops are fun! I made a bunch and sold them at curves. I still have people asking me for more! I'm going to have to make some more one of these days!

Petra congrats on the job offers!

Well I hate to do this but I had to move my ticker up I had only 3 days without journaling but it looks like I gained two pounds over the weekend. This comes after a month without loosing anything.

Thursday: 1829 calories, 834 deficit, 35 minutes cardio, 20 minutes weights

Hi everyone!! So far so good with today's excercise and food. I started a little challenge on another thread and it was EXACTLY what I needed to get back on track!!! I woke up early and went for an early morning walk and while I was at it....checked out the neighbourhood garage sales! Then I headed to the gym right after the boys tae kwon do classes. Can't believe I'm still sore from the body sculpting class I went to on Thursday, but yup I am.....I up'd the weights I was using. Dh and I have a 'date' to go out tonight to the casino. wooohooo, mama needs a new pair of shoes!!! Have a great day!
