Val~ I understand the not being able to afford the strips. I bet you have gotten yourself under control tho. Lookit that ticker there!!!!!

Petra~ You definately should get some compensation for the instructors oversite. Thank goodness your injury wasn't even more severe. Any idea how long you'll be out of commission with your lower workouts? Well, at least you have some answers and maybe nobody else will get hurt.

Gwena~ I've only been working out for 2 days and I feel like it's doing something already too. LOL I can't wait til I'm into it 2 weeks! I did 25 cardio tonight and it felt good. Boy was I watching that timer tho lol. Tomorrow, hopefully I can get some more instruction on different weight machines.

I have some work to do on my diet over my weekends. I don't eat at regular times like I should. We usually have a very late brunch, and no lunch. Today I had no snacks either.
B- egg scramble using 1 part egg, 1 part eggbeater/small red potato/zucchini/ ham/lf cheese (5), 1 slice flax bread (1), -1 tsp Earth Balance (1), coffee w/sf creamer (1)
D- 1 cup leftover pasta/cabbage (5), 1 bockwurst (6) 1/4 cup applesauce (-1), 1/4 cup cottage cheese (1), 1/2 small avocado (2), 2 slices tomato (0)
23 points
30 min cardio

Now I have to drop to 26 points for the day. I can do it!!!

Journaling really works. Well, journaling AND sticking with the program. I'm feeling so good right now.

G'nite ladies and Keep up the great works!!!

Talking Da Turtle is Engaged!

Hey PIC's,

I just heard from Turtle. Jay proposed "with a ring and everything". They don't have any schedule set at this point. She sounds happy. . Good news hmmmm?

Hi Everyone!

I was down to 215 when I weighed in. Lets just hope I can keep it through the weekend so I can lower my ticker on monday!

I went to curves for 45 mintues today and then took a very long walk in the afternoon. My feet are aching!

Journaling is so important for me. I know you're all probably sick of seeing my food everday but it really helps me. Like today I had a slice of cheese and starting feeling really down that I was going to be over on my points so I added it all up including dinner and my late snack and I'm only at 1300 for the day! I also haven't gotten into the peanut butter this week. I taped it up and put it on the bottom shelf

Everyone have a great day & night

I wish I could say that I've been a good girl today, but I haven't. It's a good thing that I did 40 minutes of cardio today. I'm coming down with a cold, and I have an algebra exam tomorrow.

Curly I am more and more coming to the realization that I am adicted to food. There are certain things for me that I just can't have in the house. I'm not good with cereal either!

I managed to stay under my calories but I can see I'm eatting really bad and was snack crazy today. At least I got my exercise in and was under my 1600 allowed calories.

Gwena I hope you feel better. I know the cold/flu is really going around. Try taking some airborne or ziacam if you can get it!

I'm embarassed to post my journal because of all the snacks I had.

Hiya PIC's,

Thanks Val... I feel really good. I'm actually following thru with something lol. Imma cross my fingers for ya so you can move that ol' ticker on down! BTW I appreciate you posting your journal too. It's really helped me a lot. ty

Petra~ LOL you remember right, there are no negative points. When I use -1 it generally means less than a point. (like a 1 pt serving, but I'm only having half a serving). I count it as a full point, and since I'm estimating points high it just kinda makes me feel good to confirm it. (lmao I'm not sure how to say that and make sense to anyone but me )

Curly~ Yayyyy being down a pound! LOL @ Chai. I have a cat that loves corn. In any form. popcorn, creamed corn, canned corn, fresh corn, corn on the cob, corn nuts. it's hilarious!

Zoey~ Thanks for the awesome news! (((((Turtle))))) Good Luck GF!!!!!

Gwena~ Tomorrow is a new day. One Day At A Time. Drink some Tea n Honey! Get Better, and good luck on the test!

So... How should I deal with Lee. He seems to be pouting about me enjoying the gym. I'm not sure where he's coming from. He says we won't be able to afford my membership after Feb. He was all snotty when I got home tonight cuz I got home 5:50 instead of 4:30. He was all whiney Tuesday cuz he "doesn't like it when our routine gets messed up" I really want to do this you guys but I don't know if it's worth my relationship. ?????????????

B- I had no b'fast today cuz I had to have a fasting blood draw
S- coffee/sf creamer (1), apple (2), 1 oz rf cheese (2)
L- Picked at a loaf of french bread for a total of less than 1 slice (2)
D- 3 oz pork chop (8), 1 cup mashed yams (4) w/-1tsp Earth Balance (1), 1 cup coleslaw (2), 1/4 cup cottage cheese 4% (2)
S- apple (2), 1 Tbs PB (2)

28 Points
20 min cardio, 1hr circuit and having a blast!

Everyone have a great day. Keep OP and be happy!!!

Dee I don't know what to say about Lee. I would think if he really cared about your health he would be happy you are exercising. I guess some people don't do well with change. I guess just try explaining to him you want to be around and be healthy for a long time to come. Good luck with him!

Mornin' All,

Dee, I think that you need to do what is right for you and your health.

Lee probably knows that at some level, but it would seem that he is struggling with the change in your appearance and behavior. Do you think that he feels threatened by the changes?

Petra, this is your area of expertise, what do you think?

Curly.....There ya go, GF!!! You are doing something right if you've lost THAT MUCH!!! That is excellent, btw....did you also take a before pic when you started? I charted my measurements but wish I had taken a pic.

Charlie.....The smell has got to be a killer!! Could you do your own version of a whole wheat dough for your pizza? Maybe a veggie version with rf or ff cheese on it? There has to be some perks being the owner and all??

Iwmonn.....How did your gym orientation go? Lucky you!!!
hey ,yep its hard, the good thing is i am on a protein diet,so we make a low carb casserole, its the pizza sauce, cheese and all the meats in a pan ran through the oven.it is soooo good.so i get the taste of everything on a pizza without the bread.i love it so its ok to skip the bread on it.
