Charlie - That's fantastic. Keep up the excellent work!

Val - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you until weigh in day.

Well I made it to one class today, but I was a good girl and made arrangements to take my Algebra exam next week. I just feel like poo. I didn't even work out today.

Charlie-congrats. What a big accomplishment. Keep up the great work.

Gwena-hope you feel better soon. Being sick sucks!!

I survived my first PT session and have 2 more scheduled for next week. I have to claim a 1 lb gain for this week but I guess I can't be too hard of myself about it considering I could barely walk for 4 days. I did go out shopping for some new clothes today but I stayed local. I usually drive to the outlets about an hour away but I didn't want to be so far away in case I started to feel worn out. I did pretty well. I went to Burlington Coat Factory and TJ Maxx. It's interesting to be buying "regular" clothes now. I'm a 14 petite. I'm shocked at how many petite pants have elastic in them. I didn't lose 50 lbs to wear pants with elastic in them!! What's up with that? I also really need to buy some jeans that fit but apparently the fashion is these low riding ones that feel like they are going to fall off which I don't like. So I haven't found any new jeans yet. Still wearing big baggy ones.

I also got my hair cut yesterday and really got it changed. I got a bunch of layers cut into it. It completely changes my look. The long straight hair was starting to make my face look gaunt.

Has anyone tried those GG Bran Crispbreads? I got some. They remind me of triscuits. I had one with cashew butter on it and one with cheese and pepperoni on it. They are quite acceptable. I don't know that they would be my favorite food but for no net carbs, I can certainly live with them.

Dee-I forgot to comment on Lee's behavior about your exercise program. Dr. Phil calls these people "Statues" because they want everything to stay the same. He warns that "winning support from statues is tough, particularly if you've tried to lose weight in the past and have failed. Every attempt on your part looks unstable, and they count on you to fail. They may even remind you: why even try? Look what happened the last time you did this?
As with any sabotage, this type of pressure can make you less likely to stick with the changes you want to make. The key is to never let anyone take your commitment away from you, especially not for the sake of their own comfort."

Think about out--if he were trying to get sober, would you complain that he was going to too many meetings and spending too much time with his AA buddies? I hope not!! This really isn't any different.

well some good news from the endocrinologist today.. tho he told me to stop jumping on the scale every day... lol he said averaged out i have lost 1 lb per week... and he doesnt want me to lose anymore than 1 lb per week..

so for now calories are right on target .. with not exceeding 1300.. he says stay constant with the exercise..

he also said at 1300 calories 60 gms is my limit for carbs less is good but 60 is tops! so i am gonna have to police my carbs a bit better in the future.

Ahh and my scale is dead on! exact!
but i wanna see those 20's so baddddd!! but even more so ONEDERLAND!

Charlie: way to go!!!!

P.s. Dee i would just say to lee ... that working out makes u feel better and in return will make u a better partner to him.. and maybe... ask him if he would like to join u?????

petra: look for the Lee "rivited brand i think walmart carrys them they fit awesomely! but u will prob have to try a size smaller than other pants

OOO speaking of bread... my dad made home made bread from sour dough starter today and i had a 1" by 1" bite >>> it was heaven... but no more that was just enuff ! that was the first bite of bread i have had since march 05!!!

Hi Everyone!

Dee how's it going with Lee today? I think Petra had some really good advice from Dr. Phil.

Petra I haven't tried the crisp bread. I wish I could find it in a store around here.

Curly sounds like you had really good news on your appointment. A pound a week is good!

Gwena how are you feeling today? The mom and the student I tutor on Fridays came over today and both were terribly sick. I told it IS alright to cancel if they're sick. I just hope I don't get it now.

I was good on my eating today & got my exercise in

Hi Pic's!!! Dh has been off on vacation all week and hogging the computer!!! Sorry I haven't been popping in as much. Miss me? lol.....

Glad to see all the losers, CONGRATULATIONS!!
Petra....I was thinking of you last night, I went to a bodysculpting class and the teacher was saying that you should 'up' your weights to encourage a good workout....and I said to myself.... not going to do it!!! I hope you are feeling better by now. I bet your hair is really nice....need a new avatar now!!

Curly....sounds like you have a good dr. to me. Scale jumping is def. not for me. I get too stressed if I don't have the numbers I want. I'm seriously thinking of only weighing in every 2 weeks or so.

Iwmonn.....Think of how positive and pumped you are when you are thinking of the gym and working out.....now think of how much of a downer things are when Lee pouts (to use your term) NOT GOOD!! You should be doing this for you and I wish he was more supportive of you. I won't suppose what is going on in his head, but I would talk to him about it.

Charlie....Did you catch the Biggest Loser this week? They have 2 families that own restaurants on the teams competing. One family has a diner and the other family owns an Italian restaurant. I think you might relate well to the daily challenges they face. Part 2 is next week in case you want to watch it.

Today is weigh in day and the scale still hasn't moved! I will not let this damper my spirits because I can pull my favorite jeans straight off of me without unbuttoning or unzipping them!

I couldn't get to sleep until after 1am and here I am up to feed the four legged children and the two legged children.

My four legged children had me up at 5:30 this morning! I don't even get up that early on work days!

I went to the gym this morning for about a half an hour. I did a little abs work and upper body stuff. I tried the hip adduction machine just on 10 lbs because it is similar to one of my physical therapy exercises. It was challenging just at 10 lbs. My thighs were all aquiver. That may have been more than I should have done. I also rode the recumbent bike for 10 minutes. I had a hard time getting it started because you have to pedal at a certain speed to get the machine to go and I couldn't go that fast at first. When I was done, my legs were all tingly. I hope that was okay. They seem fine now.

Hey PIC's,

Thanks for the support with Lee. I just don't know. I guess the best thing will be to sit and talk with him. I'm really feeling like he's got a little case of insecurities. (I should mention that he is 19 yrs older than I am.) Maybe he's afraid of what will happen if I get all cute and skinny. I dunno, but it's the feeling I'm getting. Also I think it's just kinda a control thing as I'm doing something that isn't centering around him. I am at work at 7:30am, off at 4, if I go to the gym it puts me home at around 5:45. I cook dinner and by the time we're done and the kitchen is cleaned it's 7-730pm. Then I still need to shower and then finally I can sit and relax for a few lol. Bed by 9:30ish. He feels ignored lol. I Suppose I've spoiled him for too long. I skipped the gym tonight cuz I was feeling guilty. Instead I ate candy - how's that for falling into old patterns! I want to go work out every night right now and I can't. It's the first time since we've been together I've really really seriously wished I were single again. grrrrrrrr...He's been really supportive til this thing with the gym. I've invited him to come along- I think it would be a blast to do it together. But he's all freaked out over the cost. ($100.00 month for the 2 of us really would be impossible on the budget.) It is gonna be tight if I can continue..... my fingers are just spilling over with emotion right now. So anyways enough rambling from me about this. It'll work out.

Charlie~I'm loving TBL! I thought of you too! LOL. Was wondering if you caught it. I bet you can pick up some pointers. I hpe your dinner was successful tonight.

Petra~ I have some sore muscles too lol.. but I think mine stem from INactivity instead of overuse. Keep it up GF! and thanks too. I hadda mention it's funny your comparison to AA cuz he's been sober for 29 yrs and I'm always buggin him that he should go to MORE meetings lol...

Gwena~ It must feel good to be able to get those pants off. Even if it's not the lbs. Remember- muscle weighs more than fat so you are toning up too!

Curly~ OMG 6 miles!?!?!?! YOU GO GIRL! woooHOOOOOO. I do bet Chai is diggin' that too!

Val~ Thanks. Looks like you're back in your groove! Keep it up (((((Val))))).

AngelEyes~ Tell that dh you have important business to tend to on that puter lol.... It's always so great to read your posts.

Zoey~ Thanks for your concern too. I'm off the pity pot now!!! How's the Sonoma going? I recommended that one to a friend of mine after hearing you enjoyed it so. I think it's a great fit for her lifestyle.

Yesterday I had 28 points and did 30 circuit and 30 cardio but I just ran out of time to post lol

today:
b-coffee/real cream (2), sm apple (1), lf string cheese (2)
L- (maybe equal to) 2 slices french bread (4), dab of butter (1)
D- 4 oz ground beef pattie (4), Ingredients in pattie (2?), 1/2cup mashed potatoes (2), green beans (0)

18 points ~~ I had about 8 chocolate covered toffee bites. I have no idea of cals or points but probably more than the 10pts I have left..... There will be no ice cream for me tonight!

Hi Everyone!

Charlie I hope your meal out went ok. I actually have one cheat meal out a week and mine was tonight. I can't believe I had 1200 calories at one meal. But it was so good! Hopefully I'll loose this week. I've been working really hard so hopefully this cheat meal won't hurt anything!

Curly wow 6 miles! I get tired after one mile on the treadmill! I'm impressed.

Dee I'm sorry you didn't exercise today. Hopefully you and Lee can work things out. I think he may come around but is just resistant to change.

Gwena congrats on the jeans! Things like that can be just as important as what the scale says!

I hope everyone had a good day!
