Holly- you should be in a commercial - you could sell some bikes looking like that! I almost want one of those bikes so I can look like that, too! Glad to hear the meds are helping, WTG in keeping that marriage together!! I'm so happy for you! It's a hella lotta work.

Star - retirement...you gonna start cruisin? Jill could give some tips!! JK!
Hi chick - The plan was to work five more years and pay off afew bills and get in a good position to retire. We were gonna buy a toy box trailer and travel. Then not 4 months ago we bought $12,000 worth of dirt bikes...can we say - bad timing? Oh well, nothing is for certain yet and I'm sure whatever happens it was met to be..... Even if we visit the soup kitchens in Detroit often...lol
Is Jill retired and travels? cool!

Hey all! OMG Star so glad to here from you. It feels like it has been forever! And Holly too in the same day.

I feel like roll out the barrell today. OMG have I eatten way to much food in the last two days. I need to go to the gym and close my mouth for goodness sakes.

Snowed here yesterday ladies. It is cold, wet and nasty outside. The sun is shining but it is like 38 degrees or something ridiculous. DH even drove his cage to work today. Poor man. He loves his new Harley and hates to leave it at home. He is like a kid with that thing.

Well Chicks have a great one and stay out of the snow, oh wait you don't have snow, so sad and sorry to here you don't have to drive in the junk! Anyhow Keep on Keep'n on Chicks and have a good one.

Hi gang! HarleyMom, snow already, ugh!!!! will it last or is it just a fluke? I hope hope hope it melts right away!!
Star, wow, 12,000 bucks worth of dirtbikes sounds like ALOT of fun!! were they gifts for grandkids?? (now I'm being nosy; tell me to butt out if I am ) I think your early retirement plan of getting a travel toy box and traveling sounds great!! I hope you and dh agree on whatever plan you take.

thanks for the comps about being the scantily-clad woman on the bike, hee hee!! I get alot bolder around my biking friends. We (hus and I) have actually been kinda adopted by a bonafide patched MC. You can see the patch on the jacket of one of the members in that pic. They haven't asked my husband to be a member; but they invite us to their parties and greet us as well as one of their own, which is a big thing.

Yes Star, that's my new bike!! an '06 Honda VTX 1300C (the C stands for the cast wheels). Picked her up in early April, and as I bragged previously, have put 12,900+ miles on her! We did Myrtle Beach in May, and a quick Labor Day weekend ride to Chillicothe, Ohio for the EasyRiders Bike Rodeo (that was a BLAST!); those were our two longest rides. The rest of the miles were just commuting and day trips.

My bike has: Kuryakyn Isogrips; Kury mirrors that have LED turn signals; Kury Switchblade Pegs, Highway Pegs and Passenger Pegs; Pro R series Hypercharger; BuBs JugHugger Pipes (they sound like concussion blasts!!) a modified clear tail lens; Memphis Shades SlimShield; and Tourmaster bags. Oh, and little skull bolts that hold my tag on; and clear crystal stem caps on my new Avon Venom-X tyres I love love love her

The bigger-sized bike is just the shiznit for long trips. I hardly feel fatigue, as a bigger bike absorbs more of the little bumps and jars along the way. My butt doesn't get sore at all. And the power!! even if I'm already in 5th gear and I pass someone, I don't even need to drop down to 4th. I just throttle her and she jumps

boy do I love motorcycles

Holly you are right about the bigger bikes taking a lot less out of you when you ride. I call mine the caddie. DH new scouter is fantastic. 6 gears on the 07 HD ladies. Smooth as silk and fast! He had it in the shop last week getting some lights put on the tour pack and was loaned an 06 and said the difference was very noticiable from his in the ride. The Harley shops in Denver and suburbs is sold out of the bigger 07's already. Everyone we ride with wants one. It is making the cost soft on the older bikes.

Well Chicks the snow is almost melted and we expect the highs in upper 50's today. I can live with that. I am not ready for winter yet! It is not real good for getting out and riding.

Have a great day all and Keep on Keep'n on Chicks.

Hello!

Just peeking in! I kinda dropped out from the hardcore biking crowd, since I am just a little commuter! Although I did manage to get DF on the back and we went camping for a weekend! It was pretty much **** on earth since we got lost on the way there AND back! Plus we had to stop about a million times to ease himself's legs.

The big day is on November 4th - just over 2 weeks. I'm surprisingly chilled out, the dress fits and everything's just about sorted out!

I'm supremely tired this week, I'm still recovering from the Half-Marathon I ran on Sunday in Amsterdam. 2 hours and 38 minutes. Not bad for a newbie! As a result my eating is suffering a little bit, although I haven't checked the actual damage since it's TOM and I'm probably bloaty from eating fries and mayo in Amsterdam, and er... pizza last night! I'm not seeing an end to the tiredness, although tomorrow night I might go home rather than going to the gym and have a nice nap.

We are off to Lille on Saturday for a day trip, it was just to take a break from wedding stuff, but we are all sorted, so there's only a couple of things to do and it's not at all stressful! Nevertheless we are still going to relax and shop and eat nice French food!

Glad to see everyone's still here - lookin smokin Holly! Reb, you look after your little Rebel, I'm trading up in January so will no longer get the "Are you a Rebel?" Comments when I'm asked what bike I own! (Like I haven't heard it before!) Gina, hello, see I made it over here!

Everone else And stay upright!

Hey Chicks!

It's great to see you, FRU!! We missed you! Congratulations on the wedding and enjoy your trip to Lille. I think that's really nice that you have a little vacation to get away from wedding stuff. Weddings are so stressful! Oh! on the marathon!! That is quite impressive!

Holly- Your bike sounds AWESOME!! How many cc's was your previous bike?

My husband is looking into getting a dresser... the '07 Electra Glide Classic, I think. He must think we're made of $$$. He would sell the Softtail, of course. It's a thought, but damn! I want my Burgman!!!!

It's sunny here today. Yesterday was kind of gloomy.

Wish me luck, tomorrow I am going to take the test for my permit!! I'm excited!

Have a great one, girls.

OH THIS IS GREAT!!! 2frus, Holly and Star.....all back in the fold!!! Glad ya'll are back!! Been fun reading everyone's posts...I've been AWOL the past few days.

30 days til we cruise the Caribbean for Thanksgiving...hope I can get rid of a few more ugly pounds of flab before then. Yes, Star.....I'm retired, was a mortgage banker for 30 years, but my HH is still working to support our addictions.

2 frus.....WOW.....we're so glad you're back with us....we've been wondering where the heck you are and how your wedding plans are going!! I laughed when I read that you got DF to ride on the back whan ya'll went camping. Bet that was a picture!!!

Reb, you'd love the dresser, but get your Bergman if you want it! Stand your ground! LOLOL Best of luck on your permit test tomorrow. I just know you're gonna Ace It!

HarleyMom, our good friends got a new '07 and they love it. It FLIES! Bet you guys are enjoying yours. They did take quite a hit on their trade in since there are so many flooding the market. Gonna be a lotta good bikes out there tho!

Man, Holly...you've had a lotta good riding this summer! Your bike sounds yummy and I can see why you love love love her! Maybe we can get together in the Spring at Myrtle Beach if we both get to make the ride again this year.

You guys asked about the consignment shop here....it's great! It's called Love To Ride and the gal that owns it has worked in the Harley shops for years and also in regular retail. She takes in gently used motorcycle clothing and gear and keeps a % of the sale. I hope I can get a new ((SMALLER)) vest with the proceeds from the stuff I'm gonna dop off tomorrow. I get NEW RED HAIR tomorrow too, so Friday is ALL ABOUT ME! Don't ya love it when you can indulge in a totally selfish day? WooooHooooooo!

Good Morning Holly!

I'm doing really well with my daily calorie counts but still can't get in the exercise mood. Wish there was a magic butt-kicking pill that would make me crave exercise like I crave garlic mashed potatoes!!

Jill LOL we all wish we could love things we hate and hate the things we love it would be so much easier to lose this blasted weight. I want a consignment shop here. That sounds fantastic. I have so much leather hanging in my garage I could proably start one myself.

2 frus so glad to here from you. We don't care if your hard core biker or not we love your stories and weight loss victory! Pop in now and again and give us a big hello. Good luck on the wedding. Have a good time and enjoy the party!

Reb sorry I have to vote for the 07 Glide. It is a great ride. You will enjoy it so much. You will be able to ride it too! Good luck on your permitt. You can do it! Remember that once you start riding you can pretty much ride anything as long as you can touch, it is a balance thing. I am so excited for you!

Star dirt bikes, fun, fun and more fun. That is how I started to ride. I love them. 6 Grandbabies wow! I bet you stay busy. And retirement talk! It sounds like your in your prime chick!

Gina rub some of your working out stuff on me. I have been so lazy lately. I need to put a fire under my behind.

Well chicks have a great day and Keep on Keep'n on!

Mornin chickies!!
Yay a 2Fru post!! I can stop cyberstalking you now! And you are surprisingly calm so close to your big day. Half marathon? WOW! Running sounds so . Actual practice...my knees say otherwise.

Holly - you are so close to goal - a little weight training might be just the ticket to make you feel more toned.

Andrea - how was the permit test? Harleymom is right - once you get going you can ride pretty much anything. if DH gets the bike he wants over your Bergman....make sure there's something nicve to ride for you, too! At least make him fix up the Rebel if you can't pull off all the payments for 2 new bikes.

Jill - If you are hitting Jamaica on your Thanksgiving cruise say hi for me!! I lived there for 1 1/2 years when I was a kid (like 8-9 yo)...I haven't made it back since...someday.

Harleymom - look at you girl!! 80 pounds lost on that ticker!! all I can say about working out is that it is addictive - the hard part is getting going long enough to get addicted....maybe start with saying you'll do it on certain days for a month... find something fun like a class or a dvd...commit to 3 days a week or something. Then...just do it. If you aren't in to it on a particular day...do it anyway. I tell myself I'll take it easy that day...or tell myself I'll just do a half an hour instead of an hour...I find once I get going it feels good and I usually get the whole hour done.

Hey Trina!

S***! S***! That four-letter word is snow!!!! it started as lashing rain, then these stupid wet flurries! the ground is white, it's covering up the leaves I haven't raked yet

Hard to believe I had a nice ride yesterday! I'm pretty confident that it won't last, but it does serve as a severe wake-up call that I will have to put the bike away soon. BOO!!!

Jill, we need to swap personalities for a while...I'm OK with exercising 'til I'm sweaty and breathless, but it's sooo hard to keep in my calorie confines. How did your hair appt. go?

Rebel - let us know how you did!!!

hey Gina - thanks for the encouragement!!!

Hey harleymom - did your snow from the other day melt yet? sure hope so! and WOW to 80 pounds lost!!!!!!!!!

Hi Star! and 2fru!
