Hi Chickies!

OMG Harley.....sounds awful. I had a call from one of my old friends who is also a Colorado native and she has had enough too! This from someone (like you) who usually doesn't mind the weather! Hope ya'll get some relief soon.

We on the other hand are having the opposite this winter....temps above normal. It's 82 and HUMID right now...but the normal is about 70-72 and dry. I'm ready for that. We are supposed to get the tail end of your front and dip into the normal temps by Wednesday after some rain. We did take advantage of the nice weather....rode all weekend. North, south, east and west...we were there! HH called in sick so we were able to enjoy the weekend. He actually WAS sick....but not sick enough to not ride. LOL He's been coughing and hacking like crazy and has had time off work, but he's back today, thank goodness!! Now I can get some of my stuff done around here.

Yes....looking forward to Idol each week....I think it's a riot. And did you see the 2 dweebs making the rounds on all the morning shows?? Those guys are getting famous (they both now have agents) because Simon was "mean" to them. It's really funny....and the one guy really does look like his home is in the rainforest. I think it's great..and it will be fun to see just how far Simon's "meanness" takes them.

Well....gotta get going....have slacked on my Pilates since HH hasn't been up to doing them for the past few days.

Keep on keepin' on, Chicks! I have to wrap my mind around my WeightWatchers plan again and get SERIOUS. This half-a$$ed attempt isn't working. DUH.

Our weather is wierd, too....dry, dry, dry....not that I'm complainin'....I didn't manage to get the scooter out of the garage...but the bicycle got some serious time in. DH finally bought a better bike so he can keep up. I was just about to the point where I was gonna tell him..I'll come back for ya, honey....bring yer cell and you can call me if you need me to come back sooner.

All the cardio was paybacks for a cookie binge on Friday...

2frus - heated grips? Too cool!! Can you tell where my priorities are? The color sounds way too!

Jill - No waiting for DH to do your pilates!

Harleymom - sending you vibes.

Hey everyone. I finally have a chance to check in.

I'm fine here flsunbkd, luckily we never lost power. The ice was a real witch though. For the whole week I could walk out in my yard and not even put a print in the ice. We were supposed to get heavy snow last weekend but all we got was a bunch of rain in my area, (thank goodness)

We are waiting on a check to be able to go and pick up my bike. I also take my msf class this weekend. I really am hoping that the bike doesn't sell before the check comes in. Hubby drained his 401K so I could have my bike. He also has bought me a red and black Joe Rocket Blaster leather jacket as my gift for being halfway to my goal weight.

Hope everyone is doing great.

Hey all it is going to be 40 degress today! Hopefully we will get some melting from this. I don't know what the extended forcast is saying but I am keeping hope up for no snow this weekend.

I am not doing very good on the whole weight loss either. I do not know if I am burned out or what. I just need to give myself a big kick in the rear. I am so close to where I need to be and just can't seem to get to the finish line.

I hope you all have great on plan days and Keep on Keep'n on all! Cheers to warmer weather.

Hey Chicks!

I think we all need a Biker Babes weight loss challenge or something! Several of us are half-A$$ing it!!! LOL. At least we never give up, right? I mean, that's half the battle. Just to stay in the game!

Not much going on here. I am definitely tired of seeing snow on the ground. I can't imagine how you feel, HarleyMom!!

Last week I had a very minor (but horridly painful) accident. I managed to step on a square wooden object in my bedroom and it got stuck about 1/2 - 3/4 inches into the bottom of my foot. I tried to get it out on my own, but it refused to budge. I have never experienced anything like it . After more than 4 hours in the ER, they finally removed it with "tongs" and lots of pulling. The Dr. numbed it with a local, which was very painful too. What a weekend! I had to stay off of it, soak and elevate all weekend. It's still sore, but much better now. So now I have a "battle scar" story. Up until this point I have never been admitted to the hospital or been in the ER, never had stitches or surgery, nothing, and I'm almost 30 years old. LOL.

Jill- Hope your hubby is doing better. Do you still use your Gazelle? I do use mine on occasion, but it makes my feet fall asleep after about 15 minutes. Weird, huh? Enjoy your warm weather!

HarleyMom- I hope the snow starts coming to an end for you guys. Are you counting the days until Spring Break?!?! I am!!

Gina- The biking trip sounds fun. Have you seen those bikes that are low to the ground and have large seats? I have no idea what they're called. I guess they're super pricey. Anyhow, my hubby really wants one. They do look fun. Actually biking does sound fun. Hmmm? We may look into some bikes this spring. Thanks for the idea!

wannabsexy- Wow! That's surprising that you guys have a winter program for the MSF class. I think that the places that offer it around here go from March to the first part of November. I'll be taking it this spring, too. Have fun!

Holly- I know what you mean about being good all day and then the evening gets you. We'll get it together eventually! :

Hi Frus!

I've been thinking, Dh and I really need to find an exercise that is less like "exercise" and more fun that we can actually get into. A sport or something. I'm not very athletic at all, though. Any suggestions? I do like the biking idea, Gina.

Well, if I don't get back here before the weekend, everyone have a good one! Enjoy the warm weather Gina and Jill.

Oh, anyone watch Idol tonight? Oh my!!!

Default Valentine Challenge!!

Hey Reb! Great Idea! Let's do a challenge beginning this Monday! Let's call it our Valentine Challenge and see who can stick with it the best until the end of February. Let's start January 29th and get our a$$es in gear! Sounds like ALL of us need a kick in the butt!!!! Who's in???

Cold here today.....REALLY! It's 42 and raining like crazy this morning....supposed to rain all day with the high only in the 50's. I know that doesn't sound cold to most of you, but by my standands, it's bone-chilling! I've got a hair appointment this morning....YAY! New Red Hair Day! I love to get New Red Hair!

More later when time allows....glad to see everyone!

Have a great day.....

Reb OUCH! The foot is so painful and all your weight goes into it when your walking. It hurts me just to think about it. My feet fall asleep when I do certian excercises also. Some one told me it is because your not moving your feet on certian machines and so if you lift them up or just sorta of move them a little bit when your doing what ever it is they won't do that. It does seem to help.

I agree lets get our rears in gear and do a challange. What ever I am up for it. Valentine is a couple of weeks away so that seems like a good date.

More snow this weekend. We have had a fairly decent week and a lot of melting.

Take care all and keep on keep'n on!

Holly - that is indeedy a Honda NT650V Deauville

I'm picking it up on Saturday, right after my Brown Belt test! "Mummy and Daddy said they'd get me a new bike if I passed my brown belt!" Well they're not really, but they're coming to help transport my old bike and thingies! There's also a bike show on near us on Sunday - I think my Dad has ulterior motives!

I had to tighten the chain on my Rebel last night - it was clanking pretty badly! DH says, "But you're getting rid of it in 3 days..." And I say, "It might've snapped and thrown me onto the motorway by then, so I'd better tighten it up!"

My new bike has a SHAFT Please feel free to make smutty shaft jokes - I will be!

I might let DH touch it....

I suppose if it gets popular I could start charging for people to stroke my shaft... OK I'll stop now....

Oh and heated grips ARE the main priority since it's on freezing for the first time this winter at the moment. I'll also be putting my handlebar muffs on, yeah I'm a wuss!

OK, I'm in on the weight loss challenge. I reached my January goal and have now set my February goal. Of course I have been throwing up and my stomach a mess all week so that is helping (ok, so maybe that is cheating a little bit, LOL)

Looks like I will have my bike in a few days we finally have everything worked out.

A fun exercise that doesn't seem so bad, try tae bo. I have a dvd that I do at home if I don't get to make my round at the gym. I'm lucky enough that my job pays for a gym membership for us so I use my lunch hour to go but occassionally get tied up and can't go.

Guess what I got today.
Dh bought me a red, black and white Joe Rocket Blaster leather motorcycle jacket. Now I have reason to work really hard to reach my goal fast. I can wear it but can't zip it yet. Need to drop about one more size I think. I'm wearing an 18 now and the jacket is an XL so about a 14/16. It is my reward for being halfway to my goal weight.

Hope everyone is doing well and heading out of frigid temperatures. We are out this week but more are supposed to be rolling in. It is supposed to be around 38 when I take the MSF class this weekend.

Take care all.

wannab- Yay!!! Congratulations. I bet you're super excited!!! Your husband is so sweet to honor your achievement on weightloss. I need to do a search and see what that jacket looks like. Have fun in class this weekend.

Frus- on your new baby, too! What a weekend for you chicks!!

Jill, HarleyMom, Wannab, and anyone interested in the challenge- I think that sounds good about the challenge going until the end of February. Maybe we can do a "points" system and whoever has the highest total wins. Just a thought, but maybe 1 point for water, 1 or 2 points for exercise, and 2 or more for healthy food choices, maybe even 1 point for posting daily???? Whoever wins the challenge gets to be queen for a day and have a big congratulations thread opened for her where people can go to worship her! LOL. I'm not sure. Just ideas. Do you girls have any ideas?

Oh, and Jill, I decided to join Weight Watchers. My first meeting is on Monday. I'm excited! I think it will help my accountability.

Well, chicks have a good, safe weekend! Stay warm for those in the chilly regions and enjoy the sun and warmth for the lucky ladies!!

I my new bike! I was so excited to ride "Penelope" again that I left for work early! The funniest thing is that with all the fairings I am SO hot in the stuff I usually wear (body-warmer, fleece, big jacket with inner liner) so I may have to be stripping down the layers

I managed to get all my stuff in the panniers, but I will have to splash out on some pannier-liners since I almost had a biscuit avalanche in the car park this morning!

Oh and in other non-biking news, I passed my Brown Belt test with top marks! I couldn't have a bigger grin this weekend!

2frust - CONGRATULATIONS!!! on passing your Brown Belt AND for Penelope You should be riding in a bikini with the fairings to protect you

It's interesting that your model bike isn't offered here in the US - I wonder why that is. Are larger displacement bikes (like my 1300 VTX) available to you guys over the pond?

I did very well eating wise yesterday, until I had more supper than I should have. No bad stuff, just too much good stuff

I'm going to try very very hard to stay away from refined sugar/flour as I KNOW the more I have, the more I crave. They are just 'triggers' to me to want more, more. LIkewise with diet soda...it just seems to prep my appetite for wanting salty snacky things, even just crackers, to go with it. I have got to get back to drinking water, water water!

Jill - give us some rulz for the challenge! starting Feb 1? or even tomorrow?

Hello to everyone else!
