OOhh Delphie your gonna make me cry. I know what it is like to always struggle with weight and sometimes you just need a friend to talk to. I can't even count the number of times I have broke down because I have been so unhappy and miserable with my wieght. The big thing I am relizing is that no matter how many outfits I buy throughout the years to feel good I keep going through that stupid cycle.( buying cute clothes then they sit in the closet) My relization is that I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT. I am so encouraged by this whole sight with all these wonderful girly's. Maby this is exactly what I needed all along.

Velveteen- Thanks so much to the info on the translation of my screen name! That is so awesome! About planning for the weekend.. I do plan, but since it is the only real time BF and I get to spend together we end up just sitting around and watching movies all day. He is exhausted from working and doesn't want to go out, so I stay with him. Its just bad decisions on my part. I am working on it though. This weekend, even though I was making the bad choices, I was still aware of them and expected it come monday.. I don't know if that is worse that being clueless..?

Delphi- OMG woman! What a change. You should be so proud of yourself, I know we all are! You are seriously a role model.

Blondie- Nice pic

You know when you're working out and you're sweating like crazy and you get sweat in your mouth and you realize it's your own mucus? Ya, me neither just thought I'd throw that out there.

Crystal - I missed you this morning, we must have been posting at the same time, well hang in there anyway. I feel you on the quick at the beginning thing, if only it would last. But you never know you may surprise yourself!

CMo4- Glad eggy wasn't too dizzy

Velveteen - ya personals! I think they are a full time job but what fun!

Glutio - that inch is awesome! There must be something really awesome and nice you can do for yourself after these tough couple days, glad you're at your lower number again, I'm still working on that 276 for you and I'll let you know.

Delphi - I'd have to agree with Glutio there, you're 10lb loss looks like my 18lb loss, it's amazing what height (and an hour of cardio everyday and an hour of weight three times a week) can do. You're awesome sweetie, big and one of the reasons I was so drawn to joining this group, you always seem so motivated and I'm a crazy exercise freak too so it's nice to find some company in that.

LE - That's some tall weeds girl I think I might have just written that path off after that, WTG!

Groceries are done, the guy at the dump told me I was looking really good today, that was a trip. If only he wasn't old and stinky but I guess his eyes still work! I think maybe a nap is in order when dd goes for hers, this sinusy thing is not going get me. Have a great rest o'the day.

Jacqui ~ 's! Thanks and you hit it on the nail. HEALTHIER! I just feel great thanks to all of you.

Tummygirl
~ Yeah, there is a huge difference with the ten pound difference. I'd say I was 220's not exactly 220. Those are a size 16 jeans, that are just NOW starting to hang off of me. If I were sitting down though, my big ol' roll would be pooching out. I think that is why I stay on my feet a lot. I don't want to look down at the tire around me. Eh, Oh well, I feel great and things will only get better from here. And I'm so glad you decided to join these threads, they really have impacted me in such a way, I just really can't explain it. It's amazing!

Gekster ~ Thank you ! I wish I could take credit for it but in all reality this group of gals, has lifted me up and guided me to a better more healthy me. I am indeed in all of you gals' debt. YOU GALS are my inspiration!

blondie ~ 's! I've seriously done the same thing over the years. I'm fortunate in the fact that I wont have to purchase things as I lose weight, as I have tons of stuff that I purchased and never could get into. So lets do this together shall we? It's nothing but a thang girlfriend. We just do it, it's as simple as that. I will definitely be here for ya girly!

Jacque
~ Thanks dear. I am quite pleased so far...and sky's the limit from here on out.

MsP
~ Thank you so much. Again, you gal's are gonna make me run out and buy a new scale. Seriously, I was in the 220ish range..not exactly sure, I was trying to coorelate with the dates from pictures. So I could be off a pound or two or three. I retain so much water, it's hard to say day to day what's fat and whats water. ya know?

Ugh! I am only feeling worse compared to this morning. I am SOO tired! I feel like the walking dead! I wasn't feeling so great when I got up, but it was fairly normal. Then, on the way to work, I almost became semi-truck food which was REALLY scary. I think I have to pass out before my body does it for me.

Tomorrow, we have a department-wide meeting for work followed by bowling. Very important, somehow. Here's hoping I still have a job afterward after all of the layoffs that have been happening. I probably won't be around all day, but I'll be thinking about all of you!

Delphi, you look GREAT!! You can really tell that you exercise. Your body doesn't just look smaller from losing weight but you can see how tone and fit you are getting. Wahoo girl!!

CMof4, hey chick! I have been back to doing HIIT the last couple of days. I'm up to 30 sec rest too. I also bought an overpriced heart rate monitor/ calorie tracker thingy that even reminds you to exercise if you haven't in 3 days. I have to finish reading the owner's manual but I thought a new toy would bring on new motivation. Great job on losing more inches and being so close to goal!

NSM, CONGRATULATIONS on 30LBS!!!

FSA, hi sugar-lips! Thanks for thinking of me. I'm back on track and feeling much better. It sounds like you are doing well. Are you done with your exercise break???

I don't have much time to do personals for everyone. You chicks are doing great! Have a good night!!
About my goal?? What are the chances I can still lose 5lbs this month? Thoughts?

Does anyone measure themselves? I know I have lost inches. If you girls do measure what do you measure?

Like I posted on the other thread, I ended up taking the day off today. Maybe I will add some light wii aerobics tonight.
I have decided, mostly as an experiment, to weigh daily and keep a chart of the changes just to see what goes on with me throughout the month. Weeks ago I mused about weight changes mid-cycle and this is my opportunity to find out. I am a bit nervous because I know I can get obsessive about the number on the scale, but on the other hand, I'm thinking it will keep me more accountable to myself if I see the daily fluctuations.

Thanks everyone! Those 30 lbs were long overdue, and I am happy!

CMo4: Awww! a duckling That is so cute...I love seeing them out here when they are out walking with their mamas. CONGRATULATIONS!!! on those 30 lbs. gone forever!! Woohoo on the panties!

FSA: Now I am curious...how do you cook your fish? I've never been very good with it and I am always glad for new recipes!

Hi Velveteen! glad to see you back . Just do what you can and hopefully you'll reach your goal this month girly. I don't set weight numbers as goals anymore because my body does what it wants to do anyway. Instead I focus on action based goals like eating on plan and exercising!

Delphi: Thanks for the info on the water. I am a gulper too, so I will have to be mindful of that. I love your attitude girly! And you look hot in those pictures woman! Be proud!! It seems like those last 10 lbs made a huge difference too.

LaurenA: congrats on the lb!

LE: C'mon girl! get back on track, you can do it!

Gekster: Weekends are my downfall too and very often I undo my progress for the week. The ladies here suggested I journal everything I eat and keep logging in to keep me accountable (I often go MIA on the weekend). I just started a couple of weeks ago, and guess what? It IS working. Last weekend I was pretty much on plan, so I would suggest you try it too . Hopefully your internet will get fixed soon.

Ms. P: Sounds like a great weekend. Glad you enjoyed every minute of it. Kinda makes you want to keep achieving goals doesn't it?

Tummy: Hope you don't get sick girly. Drink lots of water..I gotta say, ColdFX really does seem to work, at least for me. LOL at the stinky guy's compliment.

Glutio: My doctor gave us a recipe for a natural laxative made with prunes, raisins, dates...which you are supposed to eat like a spread. If you are interested, I can post the recipe here. I am so sorry you are feeling crappy. I hope there's nothing serious going on with you.

Blondie: Oooo! Thanks for the pic. You are a hottie And I am so glad you found us. We are here to give you all the encouragement you need to lose the weight . I measure about once a month. Sometimes I go crazy and measure everywhere, but the basic ones would be: bust, waist, abdomen (where it sticks out the most), hips (or more like butt), thigh, and arm. You can add rib cage, forearm, calf, neck...but I usually don't.

Lene: Thanks! I don't know if you can make it, but you sure can try!!

Hey everyone! This board is the best. I check it all day long and you guys all sure keep me motivated. I love reading about all the loses but I also like to see people discuss their struggles as I don't feel so alone.

I bought a new toy today to help me with the exercise portion of my weight loss. I got a Garmin Forerunner (Costco had a great deal) which is a GPS and will track how far I walk and my pace. It also looks at heart rate and calories burned. It is amazing how close it is to my SenseWear. One of my goals for this month is to keep a 1000 calorie deficit every day. So far I am on track and am losing 2 pounds a week by tracking it.
