  • Yay...another pound bites the dust! I was a good girl yesterday and avoided evening snacks, etc and it paid off!
My new swimsuit arrived in the mail yesterday and I tried it on....it fit, but I think I'm going to get another "bottom" to the tankini since the one I got fits great in the hips but cuts in at the waist which makes a major muffin top when I sit down. It looks good while I'm standing, but at some point I will have to sit down while wearing the suit! LOL It's my first tankini, though so I'm excited about that. Dang that stupid belly! It's where all my weight likes to reside...right in front! UGH!! Anyway, I love the suit...so glad I bought it and It'll be easy to get matching bottoms somewhere since the suit has black in it and I can just get solid black bottoms. Enough about that though.
Congrats glutio, couch and dandk on your losses...and anyone else I missed. And to everyone else here who's still working hard to change their lives...YOU ROCK!
  • Hi ladies, I'm going to have to set aside an hour later to get caught up, but I'm down 4lbs this week, whooo-ya. Nice surprise but I was feeling extra skinny this morning. As for now it's off to the beach with my dd for a play date (aka mommy chit-chatty time).

    Have a great everyone.
  • Afternoon All

Today I have gained 1 lb from last week's WI. I know, I know. I have no more excuses. I just didn't eat right and exercise and I've paid for it with a 1 lb gained. I said "No More! Enough is enough. I have to start moving and stop the excuses. Period"!! So now that I have that off my chest, I do pledge to start finding time to exercise more and watching everything that I put into my mouth. My fat has help me deal with so much and now it's time to say thanks but you've got to go. There is no need for me to keep this fat on me anymore. I am turning over a new leaf. I know that this will be a battle and I am prepare to go forward and conquer the evil pudge. I am still aiming for 5 lbs but I will be happy with 2 lbs. Thanks all for letting me vent. I will chat later.
  • OK, I weighed in yesterday morning and lost another lb I got on the scale and it was 199.6 finally under 200.

I got a new job and I am hoping I can still talk to ya all on line. I don't start for another 2 weeks. You girls have all been so encouraging
  • Blondie ~ on the dropage girlfriend and the new job! You are doing such a wonderful job.

SuzyQ ~ Hey sweetie 's! I know it's difficult but you CAN do this. At least you are jumping back in the wagon. on getting your focus back and we will be here on the good and the bad days dear. Never forget you ARE worth it!

Tummy Girl ~ @ needing an hour to catch up. This thread does breeze by doesn't it? Way to go on those four pounds lady! You are doing amazingly well. You keep on trucking!

MsP ~ Woohoo on the tankini! You go girl! Looking all sexy and stuff. I know it probably feels amazing putting it on. I am so happy for you sweetie and on that pound dropping off. I do believe you are well on your way again. You've got your mojo back and that is definitely something to be thankful for. on the panties.

nellonello ~ Well good luck with TOM. He hasn't hurt me too bad this go around. A few more days and he will be out of here and both of us can get back on track.

    dandk0204 ~ 12 pounds in one week? Wow...just WOW!

glutio ~ Alright lady! Good job!

    Yoda ~ What's upppppppppppppppppppppppp!:di zzy:

susiemartin ~ That's sooo cool! He he, another fun fact, martin is my last name. Sorry to hear about the tribulation though. Hey, you can do this...this time around. Believe in yourself and grab that determination by the horns and do THIS!

dollypie ~ Good luck at the inlaws.
  • Congrats on the new job, Blondie!

    Excellent loss, tummygirl!

Glad to hear you gave yourself a good ol' fashioned pep talk, SuzyQ. You CAN do this!

Thanks for the shout, Delphi! I do feel good!

As for me, time to get packin'. I mentioned in the exercise thread DH is taking me on an overnight date tomorrow. We've been planning on it for over a month and just now found time to do it. It is going to be amazing. We're staying in a jacuzzi suite and having champagne. We're going to the movies and shopping. It's all for ME (for reaching the "overweight" category on BMI) and DH has been a total sweetie about it all. Normally he's not at all for spending $ impractically, but this reward he knew was important to me, so he let me go all out! I'm SO blessed to have such a good man!!
Anyway, the kids are going to my parents' for Fri/Sat, so I have to pack them up, then pack for DH and I. I'm also making a list of things I'd like to get on our shopping trip (some for me, some for him, some for kids) which normally I don't do, but we are living in the boonies right now so I MUST take advantage of the opportunity. We're going to this big outlet mall near us, so I'm hoping we find some real steals...I love a good deal!!
  • Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii chickiessssssssssss Lot's of wonderful newsss this morning! I will be back to post more later as I'm running late but I got all excited with your losses girls and wanted to say

congratulations to our Couch, Delphi, glutio, dandk, MsPerception and Tummygirl ....congrats on the loss girls :chee r2: Great job girls , keep up the good work.

Congratulations also to all of you for continuing with the journey, getting right back up after a bad day or days and working at it. "One day at a time Indeed" . Tis a new day for us all and hope it is a good one for everyone.

susie, when I first read your post about losing the same 25-30 lbs. past 5 years ....the first thing I thought of was how at least you controlled it in that sense and kept your weight from spiraling up so good job there. Keep up the good fight

Hi there suzieq, wtg on that spunk! Let the battle continue! That lb. will come right off. I'm right there fighting with you my dear lady, happy new day .

There is more I want to say though I will try and make this s hort as I have to go. As for me chickies, it's been touch and go past few days...I'm not doing as well and having some tummy troubles again from veering from my health regiment. Iknow I know, the fish! lol : ) It should be coming soon. Anyhow, TOM is now officially past me and I got that out of the way and it's a new day so I am going right back POP and I will head to the market. Having you girls here makes all the difference and I can't describe in words how happy I am to see your successess and oh it's just so nice ladies You keep up with that awesome work and ty to you all for your inspiration.

Also, when your on a roll like that and doing well stay there! You know what they say about messing with a good thing. We are all different of course and will respond differently to certain situations but sometimes a sidetrack, event, giving oneself too much leeway, etc. etc. or even cravings or getting ill or whatever the case may be....can throw some of us off course so when your in a good place dont mess with it too much. Just a few thoughts and suggestions. When your kicking hiney, continue kicking ! I also feel that the sooner one goes right back the easier, I thin k a lot of us have said the same thing.

Happy new day to allllll, we have 20 days left including today! Congrats again ladies You all added some major sunshine to this day here (you all did, on the losses...the continuation and fight, etc. etc.). Keep on truckin' and have a great one! I will report back later. I will catch up with you later.....delphi, crazymama, msP, etc. ciao for now chicks Keep on shining.
  • I don't have much time right now, but I was just so happy that I had to share. I am finally into the 280's! I've been struggling with that one pound at 290 for almost 2 weeks due to some back choices, but this morning there it was on the scale 289! Such a joyous moment for me. It reassures me that even if I mess up, I'm not doomed as long as I get back on that wagon.

  • Down to 165.4, was retaining water weight for a while there and was getting frustrated cause I couldn't loose it.
Yesterday however me and my boyfriend went for a 10 mile walk around the city park, they have nice marked trails that tell you the distance. Lol, boy am I sunburned and my feet hurt but atleast it kicked me off my plateau.
Hope Im able to get down to 159 by the end of june D:
  • Good afternoon ladies! I hope everyone is having a great day!!

    Let's get right to business!

Lewis~ Ooh chocolate cravings are the worst aren't they? It's like there's a beast inside you that won't shut up until you give him some chocolate! Ugh! I am so glad I seem to be over my 24/7 addiction to chocolate. I used to have to have a little chocolate after every single meal! Yes, even breakfast. Yup, twins! They're girls and quite a handful! It's funny though, one is a couple of inches taller than the other and now people are asking me 'how close are they in age?' and when I say, 'they're twins' the next question is, 'which one was born first?', Em, my taller dd was and when I tell them that I almost always hear, 'Aha! I figured that, because she's so much taller than the other one!' Yeah, like that extra 2 minute head start out of my womb caused some sort of super crazy growth spurt. Hee hee

MsP~ Congrats on the loss girlie!!! Now dish--do tell us about these yummy chicken & veggie foil packets!! I am so struggling with meals these days, I need some new ideas! Mmmm, peanut butter cookies are so good! How'd ya do? Right now I'd chew my arm off for one...or 10...stupid TOM cravings! I'm with you on this group being a huge motivational factor! You ladies rock and you're all so inspiring!! Congrats on the new bathing suit too! I haven't bought one in years...Oooh and have a fantabulous time on your overnight date! What an absolute gem of a man you have! Enjoy the jaccuzi, the champagne, the shopping--ooh, have FUN!!!

MasterDelphi~ sounds like you're an uber fun mom! I really need to try to loosen up more. It's been a rough couple of years for me with depression and stuff and I developed some pretty bad habits with the stress and stuff...so I'm really trying to make it a point to get out and do more stuff this Summer with the kids. Last Summer we were in the house most of the time because going out was just insanely overwhelming for me. We saw The Tale of Despereaux and it was a pretty good movie, but a bit more thought provoking than most would expect from a kids movie. The kids and I liked it though. The girls got a bit antsy and we did a couple potty runs, but all in all it was a success! I'll definitely do it again! Btw, oh that hottie was flirtin' with you, plain and simple girl! You gotta keep us posted if he makes the next delivery too--and if so, let him help you with those boxes! What better way to see him flex his manly muscles? Hey, congrats on the loss today girlie! Woo hoo on the panties/hottie!!

    Gekster
~ Congrats on staying awake!! I know exactly how you feel! When I started waking up and staying up early to do my workouts (not because I had to get the boys ready for school), I was amazed and excited and frankly, proud of myself! How was that veggie omelet? Woo hoo on the 180's!!! That's wonderful news! You're doing such a fantastic job!!

Glutio~ I hope you find an answer to your sleep problems soon, that's just got to be such a pain! Finding the right dr is key to getting your health in check isn't it? I am so lucky that our family dr rocks! He's my il's dr as well so he came highly recommended. He's just a really great listener and really down to earth as well. But he's also one of those guys who's not afraid to admit when he's stumped and will refer you to a specialist if need be. Congrats on the loss hun! You're doing great!

Ang~ men are evil like that aren't they? It's just not fair I tell ya! Bravo on the stairs! 800 is nothin' to sneeze at! I doubt I could climb that many! You ROCK! And now I must ask you too to dish! Tell us please about these chocolate protein cookies!

URock~ what on earth is it with TOM this week? He's making everyone all miserable! Ugh! Sorry you've been feeling so icky!

    FSA
~ glad to hear you got that workout in. Sounds like you've been having a few rough days--hope things get better for you! Glad to hear TOM is gone and that you'll be getting back OP! You're absolutely right--if you're rockin' don't change a thing! Like they say, 'don't fix was ain't broke!'!

Gatorgirl~ Congrats on the steady loss! Slow and steady wins the race I always say! You'll be in the 160's in no time girlie! Keep up the great work!

Couch~ aww, sorry you're not feeling well! I hope you get to feeling better soon! Congrats on the loss though, you're kickin' bootay!

Susie~ hang in there hun, that scale will move! Just keep up the great work! I know what you mean about entering new territory. Before I started this I'd lost and regained the same 20 lbs over and over again. Once I passed that 20 lbs mark though it gave me an extra boost to keep going. Now, over 30 lbs down from my high point in Jan and I've entered territory I haven't seen in years! Just keep on pluggin' away, you'll bust through that plateau in no time!

Dollypie~ have fun at the inlaws!! Be good! Here's some for you!!! Be strong girlie!!!

Dandk~ Wow! Congrats on the huge loss girl! First weeks ARE awesome, you're doing wonderful!

Nello~ congrats on the great day! Good luck and here's some for you too! Forget about that scale for a few days!

Tummy~ congrats on the loss this week! Hope you're having a great time at the beach!!

SuzyQ~ sorry to hear about the gain, but it sounds like you're back on track and ready to kick bootay so that's great!! Now, no more messin' around lady, you hear? You CAN do this! Wake up earlier to work out if you need to, start logging what you eat--whatever it takes! You will win this war!!!

Blondie~ Woo hoo! Onederland! Congrats!! And congrats on the new job too! Hope you'll still be able to check in from time to time!

Lauren~ glad to hear you didn't gain, congrats on maintaining!

Jacqui~ I replied over on the exercise thread, more coming your way! Hope you're doing better today hun!

Plexi~ congrats on busting through that plateau!!! Take care of that sunburn!

Well ladies, TOM is being completely evil to me. He's making me grumpy and tired. But, I will not be deterred! I got my workout in this morning and have stayed OP. Take that you stupid TOM!!!

I'm down a little more today, so that brings me to 167.8 (3.6 lbs since the 1st--over halfway to goal! ).

Update on the Snip-Snip front! Got a call from the Urology referral office and the ball is officially now rolling on getting hubby an appt. She asked if he wanted to have a same day consult & procedure or to have the consult one day and the procedure another...I bet you can guess which I chose. Same day baby! Haha, I know, I know, I'm evil it's not me though...it's TOM making me like this!

Well ladies, another rainy, cloudy day...supposed to be the same tomorrow...I'm looking forward to the weekend though, it's supposed to be gorgeous!

Alright ladies, well I better get going. I need to finish my water and refill my bottle and get something done! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! And congrats again to everyone on their losses and for kickin' substantial bootay! Keep up the awesome work everyone!!
  • CMof4- The chicken pakets are a perfect go-to meal when you need a filling healthy meal So, you get out about a 12in length of foil for each person you'll be feeding (well, my 4 & 5 y/o girls share one) and put in 1/2 a sliced potato, 1/2 a sliced tomato, 1/4 sliced green or red bell pepper, 1/4 slice oniion, and 1/4 c. sliced fresh mushrooms on the center of each foil piece. Then place an uncooked 4 oz chicken breast fillet on the "bed of veggies". On the chicken breast you pour 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp honey, a dash of pepper and 1 pat butter or butter substitute. Close up the foil packets by folding up the sides and rolling them up just enough to secure them and folding/rolling up the ends. Then poke the packet twice to vent while cooking. Cook at 450 for 35 minutes, open, put on a plate (minus juices) and enjoy!
It's easy and yummy! The only "bad" fat is the pat of butter which some people won't eat, so you can sure use something else if you want. You also get plenty of veggies, if you're low-carb you could take out the potato, but I wouldn't subtract the honey...it really makes the flavor amazing. I know the spice combo sounds weird, but try it.
