CrazyMama-
The duckling is adorable! We've had a hen duck setting a nest for over a month with no results. I think she's setting duds

Lost another pound

) when I would tell hubby, "ya know, I am on a diet ya know" he'd say, "but you have to be bad sometimes" with a glint in his eye...I know it was just his way of trying to get what he wanted by being cute, but still, as cute as he was it made me want to rip of his arm and beat him with it!
He tried it again this time, in the beginning, but because he knows he should be eating better, he's not as persistent. Plus, when he does suggest take out, I always say, "you guys can eat that, and I'll have something else" he gets all defensive and defeated and huffy.
He's like a little kid who's been told he can't have an ice cream cone before dinner!
Do have have a talk with your guy and see if that helps, it might take time, but I'm sure he'll get it eventually. In the meantime, just keep moving forward!
WTG on your Day3 today!! 20 mins straight...I can't even wrap my head around that! Congrats on getting over that hump, you should be very proud of yourself!
I love taking pics, but it's taken a back seat lately--what with the gardening and working out, etc. Ah well, gives me a chance to read up on the stuff I'm struggling with right?
Congrats on the pound!! Sorry you still have Hulk hands though. I'm always slightly puffy in the morning (my rings are always snug, where as they spin around during the day) but after a bit of water it goes away. Sounds like you're having more than mild swelling though. If it persisits I may insist that you go chat with your dr, ya know, just to be on the safe side--rule out something like high blood pressure. Good luck on fitting 4 gallons in the frig! It's a dance I do weekly! Rearrange this, move that, toss out that--adjust this shelf here...move this out of the way--cram, stuff, wedge...voila! 4 gallons of milk in the fridge!!
Not sure if I have any advice or words of wisdom on the guy friend front...just trust your gut is all I can say...oh, and keep us posted.

Hmm, wonder what's up with your duck? Weird that she would lay eggs that were all duds. I'm not sure where our mama duck went--we used to see her every night with her 2 boyfriends--guess she had a hard time choosing a guy or something
and it's been a couple of weeks now since we've seen them. I'm guessing they're down by the pond with their other ducklings??
I keep praying that we'll get some drier, cooler weather because my mom and little sister are flying in on Monday for a week long visit.
I'm going to do my best to stay POP all week, but my goal this month is to stay POP 85% of the time, so it gives me a little wiggle room if I should decide to endulge in a little alcohol or sweets...right?
And with that loss, I now I know for sure that TOM is outta here! Oddly short visit this month, but I'm not complaining!!
Anyway, would love to hear your thoughts! I'm thinking ginea pig at this point, but have been told they're stinky?? Help!

Three
's for dropping another pound. You are on a roll as of late. But you've been uber busy and doing all that work outside which translates to a lot of calories being burned. I wish I could stay off my butt a bit more. I have no trouble exercising, it's all the times in between that I tend to take up residence at my puter. At any rate, have yourself a grrrrrrrrreat day!
Oh and my Wii Fit told me I was no longer obese and that I'm now just over-weight....how cool is that?

, I read over in the sister thread that you are on an upswing today and that has really made my freakin' day, let me tell ya. I may be lakes and miles away but dang if we still don't worry about our friends, regardless of how far away they may be. So I'm thrilled. Today is your day!!! I sense greatness in you young padawan and I feel as if your one with the force again.
Breathe easy dear and enjoy the **** out of your day. One day at a time.
Oh and I was thinking of doing the C2k program. I'd love to do it with ya next month. We shall see how my knees are at the end of this month. Oh and
on the loss.
to have a C25K partner. Let's do it!

Maybe that was just what you needed.
Cute little guy omg no wonder the kids were upset. I'm kinda feeling like you could us a break from yard work, but that's just me, I'm tired for you. WTG on the pound!
) And last night at 11pm he got a call out for something rather dangerous and my first reaction was the desire to eat b/c I was worried about him. But instantly I knew what it was and went to bed, it was cool to feel that in control of once.
Too funny! OH MY GOSH, now I'm all envious of your husband and the fact that he is an officer of the law. I'm drooling over here. I get cop behind me and I'm just praying he turns the blue lights, alas, it never happens. Just want to roll around in the hay with at least one cop before I die. Geez...
Good for you though on your run and oh my at all that mowing. I took care of mine yesterday
And of course three
's for the pound. It was about time for both of us dangit. All that exercise is bound to result in weight loss, I mean come on. The weight loss God's are definitely smiling down on us today.
All that mowing and you are liable to burn 3500 calories and drop another pound.
Good luck, I'll be cheering you on with arm pumps and all.

It is pretty cool, I must admit but I was with him before too when he was a poor college student and worked at McDonalds. Its funny he's had more woman come onto him since he started than his entire life combined, and some do it right in front of me, while he's holding his daughter, we call it the scarlet fever, lol.

When I went to the police academy I struggled cause I was married to a jerkwad. However when I got my uniform, believe it or not men like it too.
I'll tell you, you ladies really helped me. You two, CMof4, NSM, FSA, Gator, T_Girl, Pas, Lewis, Ican--you all encouraged me to keep exercising, to keep with my weight loss plans, and to keep posting (even if it wasn't as much). Your support was amazing!
And you know, it really kept me "in the game" when I might have so easily taken to my bed, stopped eating, stopped exercising, and hidden away for a while. Depression can be a tricky thing. It makes it so easy to give up. But I am feeling much better today, like myself again, and hopefully this upward trend will continue!
Oh and your duckling is SO darling!! I know you absolutely did the right thing in handing it over to professionals, but oh my, I don't know if I could have done it! It is SO precious! I'm glad you have pics of it to keep forever.
If dogs and cats are out, you might consider what I got my daughter for Christmas. She lives in an apartment and wanted a pet and she chose chinchillas! And she absolutely loves them! When I read up on them, I worried about them being too fragile, but they are a whole lot heartier than the information out there makes them out to be. And they are just so cute and, well, addictive! We had them here for two weeks at Christmas and then she took them and I've missed them ever since! They are so fun to watch and although they are not cuddling type pets, they are very social and they will climb on you and sit in your lap. They are very easy to take care of, are odorless, and do not get fleas (fur is too thick). They are different though. They can't get wet so they take dust baths, and their teeth never stop growing so they have to have things like wood to chew on. (If you've had hamsters, I believe they are similar.) Also, you catch them by the base of their tails to pic them up, which doesn't hurt them at all. You can't just grab their bodies because they have floating organs (this is what I was talking about when I said they are less fragile than they sound). And oh my, they are the softest things! My daughter absolutely loves hers! We looked into rabbits and ferrets, something to cuddle, first, but rabbits' urine has a strong odor, and ferrets, even though you can deodorize them, still have a pretty strong smell to them (but they are SO cute and playful). We also looked into sugar gliders but they are extremely active at night and we weren't sure if they'd keep her up and we also weren't sure if they were high maintenance. We also looked into hedgehogs, which are darling, but they are hard to get around here. My daughter recently saw a dego and said she thought they would make wonderful pets. But she just adores her chinchillas. Oh and chinchillas live for 10-20 years so if you get one or two (they are happier in pairs--make it same sex pairs unless you want to breed them!), you have to plan to have them for awhile! We were concerned because we had read that chinchillas can bite, but the breeder we got ours from has never been bitten and she's bred them for 20 years (has 60 of them!) and my daughter's have never even looked like they were going to bite. So it probably depends on how much they were handled as babies. Our breeder handled them multiple times a day, and ours are super friendly.

And I am so happy your DH made it home safely!

I don't want to make a habit of it, of course, but if I think my metabolism has hit a plateau, I am definitely willing to try it again!
Talk about awesome! I always watch movies on my treadmill and when he asked about my birthday, I suggested the first season of Lost. Because I've never seen not one episode but I when i played the game, I knew I would like the show. So he just sent me the NetFlix gift. Talk about uber excited. Now I can actually watch movies I haven't seen like a trillion times.
I'll be back later to do personals, just wanted to share my news. I hope you all are having a great day!
