Quote: [BDepression can be a tricky thing. It makes it so easy to give up. But I am feeling much better today, like myself again, and hopefully this upward trend will continue!
Joci, can't wait to see those pics of you, girl!
Well, I am down 2 lbs today! Finally!
I am working on the pics...I actually wrote myself a note to take some but BF won't be back till Friday!!! It will wait!! Unless the scale isn't nice to me on Friday morn

Jacqui....Congrats on the 2# loss!!! WTG!!! And I know all about depression myself. Had some really bad years, but it is all behind me now....and will get behind you too!!!
  • doesn't look like I'll get to personals tonight ladies... that 4.40 start has now got me totally knackered... so I'm just going to get ready for bed and take care of the sleeping aspect of this thing we call a Overall Health and Wellness/ Weight Loss Journey!
  • Thanks for the support from earlier, it was a rough night last night due to a late night ER visit for the BF's grandmother. We were there with her til around 1am and waking up at 6 was just a bad bad idea. But after sleeping some more and having a nice brunch I feel a lot better and ready to tackle the day (what is left of it anyway haha).

As a pick me up last week I bought a few new workout videos and we live in the middle of no where where we don't have mail service, so we have a post office box, well, everyday I've been walking over to see if they arrived yet. One arrived yesterday, its a salsa crunch video. I'm super excited to try it out. I would have yesterday, but it was so freakin hot outside that by the time I got home from the mile walk to the post office the last thing I wanted to do was sweat some more! So that is on my to do list followed by walking to the post office again for more videos! I am glad it worked out this way because no matter what I am getting a mile walk in everyday!

I hope everyone is having a great day! We are half way through the week!

    - you're a cop? That's awesome, I knew we had some fierce woman on here but who know there we guns too! And with a face like that and a uniform, omg, can you even write a ticket without someone honking at you?

Jacqui - Glad you're feeling better today, hopefully the trend will continue, one good day begets another as they say. The cold does seem to be losing, I had some leaky days but I refused to call it a cold, I was just leaking, mind over matter and as of right now, not even sniffly. I think all this eating right might have bolstered by immune system. dancing carrots for those 2lbs, what a wonderful thing after the last number of difficult days!

Delphi - so this is that "just a friend" guy? I would maybe put on a chastiy belt if he comes 'round. But that sure is a wicked present, and it appears he listens to what you say, interesting...

Jacque - No pressure on those pics I just have this smokin' hot fantasy image in my head is all

Velveteen - Enjoy your rest and we'll talk to you tomorrow

I think today might have been a supreme exercise in determination, still sinusy, got up at 6am, went for a 30 minute run, shower, breakfast, play with dd, go to town for some stuff, home, mow frickin' 1/4 of my lawn for 70 minutes, lunch, nap for dd and then cuz I'm nuts, let's do some strength training because it's wednesday and that's what we do wednesdays. Granted I shortened it b/c I'm not totally crazy but 25 minutes is better than nothing. And now the sinus seem to be fine and I'm off for shower #2 and a much needed nap myself.

Honestly, though does anyone completely not recognize themselves anymore? I mean a month ago the list would have included at least an ellen, dr. phil, oparh and a lot of eating on commercials and I still would have needed a nap!

  • Tummy girl. I was in Law enforcment in Ca. I worked for an armored truck company and the police department for a while. I had a bad divorce and moved to Oklahoma 3 years ago. Law enforcement doesn't pay squat here so here I am working at a law firm. I just got hired on at the Prison in the Administration part( don't have to deal with prisoners) and I will be starting next week. I still have a passion and love for Law enforcement.
  • PS thanks for the compliment I wish I thought that of myself
  • Blondie ~ A hot cop..eh? Do you still have your uniform? I think that is so commendable. Hat's off to you girlfriend.

Tummygirl ~ Dang it if I don't know what you mean. But I spent my time gaming, gaming and more gaming. Gaming competitions, online gaming, tournaments. You name it, I did it and did it on my butt to. But I was wicked good. That is the one thing I have given up during my journey to get my life back on track. It was a hobby, always has been since I was a child. If you guys haven't noticed I'm a huge sci-fi geek and the two worlds intertwine. I was even doing reviews there for awhile. At any rate, I digress. Yes, my schedule is so different these days. My focus is strictly on me getting healthy and I love it. Oh and yeah, "the friend", see what I mean? He is in Washington, I'm in TN and he is a very, very dear friend. I would go as far as saying he is my best friend. But he sneaks in those comments and just does stuff that seems to shift the balance of a healthy friendship. Great guy, really he is. The most genuine heart but, friends is all we will ever be. But he is so groovy for the Netflix thing. Unfortunately, I don't know about that spa thing. I don't know, it's good for a year and he did that with my goal weight in mind. So perhaps when I hit goal, I wont feel so awkward about getting a massage or treating myself to a facial. Sorry for the long response.

Jacqui ~ Good for you I just need you to know that I had such a great day and you were in my thoughts. You posting was such a relief and just filled me with joy. Good to have you back and on the two pounds chicky.

Alright I'm off to get my treadmill in. We have Mr. and Ms Smith or whatever it's called, to watch tonight. So that should keep the ol' mind occupied for an hour to do my treadmill. You ladies have a great evening.

    Tootaloo!
  • Hi Girlies!
I just spilled water all over my office chair and it's soaked. I can't sit down and chat long. I still wanted to check in with you at least for a quick note.

Will be back when the chair is usable
  • Delphi, I love the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith! That is such a cute (and hot) movie! I hope you like it too! You are such a sweetheart and I am so happy that you had a great day, and if I helped to start it off right, I am glad! Oh, and does your friend have a brother who would like to be generous to a married woman? Lol!! You know, some guys really are just giving like that. It makes them feel good, like the are being a great friend--that is their reward. It sounds as if you've made it quite clear to your friend that you can only be just friends, so if he's still being so generous, it's his decision. Obviously, it makes him happy to see you smile!

T_Girl, thank you! And I hope you get over your "leakiness" soon, lol! Oh, and your activity level sounds phenomenal! Good for you!

Joci, thanks! And I am so glad you got over your depression! I have gone for years without an episode, and I'm not sure if this time "officially" counts since it didn't last two weeks or more, but wow, it sure had all the symptoms for the week that it did last! I'm still monitoring it just to be on the safe side.

Gekster, I'm sorry to hear about your bf's grandmother. I hope everything is okay! I am glad your day got better as it went along, that one of your workout videos arrived, and that you got a mile walk in to boot!

Velveteen, waking up that early does make for a long day. Delphi turns in early too and it seems to be working wonders for her!

Blondie, oh my, you made one beautiful police officer! I'm glad you don't have to deal with the prisoners at your new job!

NSM, well that's one way to get you on your feet and moving!

    Have a good night, ladies!

I know what you mean. I have times where things get so out of control and I feel like I am spiraling, but then I just do whatever it takes to get back on track....sounds like you have a handle on it...I'm sure you will be fine!!
  • WHOOOOOA! I didn't check this for a bit and you're already on a new thread! You ladies are crazy.

It's a bit hard for personals! 18 pages is a bit much for me to read there! Hopefully I will check in at least once a day now so I don't feel so left behind.

As for me I weighed 196.5 this morning. Hmmm. We'll see if that holds up tomorrow.

I hope all you ladies are being good, staying OP, and losing those pounds!
  • Oh my goodness I'm so tired! Not feeling so awful like yesterday, though, so that's good. I'm totally off my exercise plan for the week. It really hurts me to not have that specific ride home from work since the meeting and bowling were in a different part of town. I guess bowling is some kind of exercise, though! I'm hoping to have some energy tomorrow and to make it to the gym NO MATTER WHAT.

Fortunately, I'm totally on plan calories/points wise.

AND EVEN BETTER THAN ALL OF THAT DH got the email today saying they wanted to bring him to for an in-office interview and testing. They want to see him next Thursday or Friday, and after he got approval for time off, he emailed back saying that was good for him. He asked if it was possible for them to bring me up, too, and once they answer that, I'll know if I have to buy tickets for myself. I'm totally going with since we have friends there, and my best friend JUST moved into a new place a week and a half ago. From what we know about this job, unless he somehow shows them he can't program for anything, he'll have a job offer by the end of the month!!!! This is SOOOOOOOOOOOO huge!!!!!
  • Hello!! So I've been doing great with my exercise. Exercising virtually everyday. I'm down to 128.5 as of yesterday morning. I initially said that I wanted to get down to 123-125 before my European vacation on June 30th, leaving me a few lbs. to gain, thinking that I wouldn't have access to a gym or my typical meals. Super excited to find out that I will have access to a gym for at least 1 of the 2 weeks I am away, and perhaps the full 2 weeks, depending on where we book our apartment. SO EXCITED! i'll be able to enjoy the pubs without feeling guilty or gaining any weight. I'm hoping to be 126 by June 30th, the day that I leave!!

So there's my update Hope everyone else is on their way to achieving their goals; June is more than halfway over!
  • Thanks Joci!

WWDoll, good to see you back! Congrats on the 196.5!

Glutio, that's great news about your DH! I hope all goes well!

Biju, I've edited your goal by a lb to reflect your new objective to reach 126 lbs.
