For those that have gained a few or less well it happens I have been there through this challenge and it is hard but we have to get on with it and get back on track to losing.

Would also like to say congrats on the new niece rainlips and the new granddaughter losinitin07. Babies are so innocent and nice and cuddlie. Diva it is great that you have decided to stick around I love reading your posts even if I do not reply and it is even better that you are losing.. Everyone have a great evening and I will try to post again in a couple of days.

Hi all,
Just a quick note tonight, probibly won't be able to post till Friday so thought I would check in. I'm eating more fruits a veges for the out of the box challenge. Last night I made chicken soup, I didn't have noodles so made some dumplings and put them in. The kids didn't want veges in it so I fooled them, I ground up some carrots, cabbage, and celery in the food processer and put them in the soup. It was really good. Tomorrow is ham and bean soup, made from scratch in the crock pot. That way there is a hot meal ready for everyone when we get home, on Wed I usually just pass through from work to dance lessons for my daughter, to church.
I'm going to try to get my 7 miles in on Thursday night, only 4 days late, but couldn't be helped, travel is still not recomended on most roads around here.
see everyon later, and congrats to all this weeks losers.

I'm here! Just super busy with the little dudes. Had our 1st swim class tonight. It was good if you count that he stayed in the pool the whole time, bad if you consider the fact that he screamed and yelled and cried that he wanted to get out and clutched the instructor. sigh.......

keep at it Team!!!

Hey everyone.

I just got home from Urgent Care. I had to take my 4 yr old, Ella. We spent Sat night there too. She has been so sick for the last few weeks. On Sat night they said that she had an ear infection, an upper respiratory infection and pink eye. She hasn't been getting any better even though she is on meds for it all. Tonight they did a chest X-Ray and they said that she has Pneumonia. We have to go back to the doctor first thing in the morning. Please send P&PT our way. I am worried about her.

Manda - I'm praying for your baby girl.

Just checkin in. I KNOW I posted this earlier but my post seems to have disappeared. I had to take a freebie week this week. My best friends father passed away Monday and I had to be there for her. I am still here though,
Will be back to post personals later.

Hugs and prayers to all of you with sick kids!

I think since this challenge started I've eaten LESS fruits and veggies that ever! I'm determined to turn this around tomorrow, even though I have a lunch meeting. Luckily, it is at Applebees which has a WW menu! Tomorrow night I have free movie passes to the new movie 'Vantage Point', so I have to get my butt in gear and make sure I cook dinner early or I'll end up eating out again.

Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I'll check back in tomorrow.

I am doing the c25k too. Yesterday was day 2 of week 2!! For those who can't afford a gym membership, I found my treadmill used, for $25. Watch your newspaper, esp now. People are giving up their NY resolutions, and selling that equipment they bought and never used. It's not got all the bells and whistles, but it works! No way to run outside in upstate NY in the winter. The streets are nothing but ice and I live where there are no sidewalks, but if we did - they'd be icy too!

I am really busting trying to get my butt below 145 this month. I am SO stuck, I can't stand it.

hotcubanmama I am so sorry for your loss, your fiance will be in my thoughts. A loss is a loss though, take it and be proud!

Amy0505 Have a good trip back to KY, hopefully your family will help you with your kids.

chicki you did better than I'd EVER do. i always try and eat something before I eat out, but sometimes i can't help myself.

ceegee I am doing swim lessons with my daughter (22 months) starting next March. I know it is going to be a disaster, this is the child that screams the entire time in the locker room becuase she doesnt want to be naked infront of people. Than that temper tantrum leads into the pool and she cries. Last time (the third time going to get used to it) it took her 30 minutes to warm up, by that time she was blue and shaking and didn't even have time to swim! LOL, it will be interesting! How old is your child?

ahill (((((((HUGS)))))) I hope she gets better soon!!!

rainlips I am doing C25K too!! I am on my way now to go do day 2, week 1!

EDITED: I forgot. I stepped on the scale this morning and it said 189.9! I haven't seen the 180's in FOREVER, now if the numbers are true I have lost 4 pounds since Sat. which I doubt, but I saw those 180's!!!!!!!!

Caitbeans-Congrats on seeing 180's. If its not a true loss, you did see it and that means its right around the corner. Keep up the hard work, it will pay off!

Mother-Great job on completing day two of week two! A TREADMILL for 25 bucks thats awesome! I use mine all the time and love it. Keep at it and you'll eventually break through to 145...I know you can do it

hopeforme-I go in spurts with the fruits and veggies. I think the out of the box is a great challenge to try incorporate more into our diets.

Rainlips-Congrats on joining the Couch to 5k! Your shake sounds YUMMY!

Karma-Sorry for your loss, you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Manda-How is Ella? It's very scary having a lil one sick. You and lil Ella are in my thoughts and prayers

ceegee-We'll at least he did get in the water. I'm sure after a few times he'll get used to it and won't want to get out. I really need to get my daughter signed up for swim classes. She THINKS she can swim but she really can't.

Bette-I think hiding veggies is an awesome way to sneak veggies into the veggie haters diet. A lot of times they can't even tell the difference. I love making ham and beans especially in the crockpot. Its nice to be able to come home and suppers all ready to go.

Reda- Thanks for the Congrats! I'm finally losing steadily again, and feeling great.

Hotcuban-SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS! It looks like you've been having a rough week. Hang in there it'll get better.

Amy0505-We'll be thinking of you and your family as your hubby is deployed. Check in when you can.

Chicki-way to plan ahead. You're doing great in the out of box challenge!

Roni-glad to see you're enjoying the gym.

Nothing too exciting to report here. Yesterdays dentist visit went pretty good, got my crown put on and they noticed I have a cavity so I have to go back in April for a cleaning and a filling. Bowling went good, shot above average for the night, which always makes me happy. Today I get my tattoo, I'm really excited and nervous. I'm trying to decide if I should take something for the pain before hand. I want to be tough and go without, but yet I don't want to be crying like a baby while in the chair!

Out of the box challenge hasn't been the greatest for me yet...but after I drop off DD I'm heading to Hyvee to see what kinda stuff I can stock up on. Last night at bowling one of the girlies was talking about how great organic stuff is. So we shall see if the extra $ is worth the taste.

Out of the box:
Tuesday
3 cups lettuce
1 banana
1/2 tomato
1/4 cup onion

Have a great OP day! I'm off to do some sculpting.

ahill-Oh my goodness! that's terrible! I'll be praying for a quick recovery for Ella. poor baby. I had it twice when I was a kid. I was always such a sickly child.....sigh... I hope she gets better soon.

Karma-Sorry for your loss, you're in my thoughts and prayers too.

dream- Good luck with your tattoo! I'm excited for you. Last time I went bowling in real life (not online or with the Wii) I could barely get the dang ball to go forward! LMAO!!!! I never laughed so hard in all my days!

Hot- I am sooooo sorry about y'all friend. it's so horrible when people choose to take thier own life. I had 2 friends do that when I was a kid. Both were preacher's son, and BOTH were friend's of mine. it was very sad. i remember sitting at their grves at the cemetary I used to cut through to get home, and just cried and cried.

reda- How are ya?

THAT is an awesome way to sneak in some veggies! I so need a food processor. I can't get Jess to eat veggies at all. My 14 yr old eats better than my 36 yr old! LOL!

Hey ceegee, hope, rain, Mother. I'm so glad y'all are still checking in. I t sucks that so many don't post with us...sigh....

I'm trying my best to get the whole foods, fruits and veggies, but there is only so much one can do with so little funds, lol!

I am eating my Whole grains wheat bread, cereal, having 1 to 2 frieuts a day and throwing in some veggies where I can.

Morning ladies....
I haven't read the posts since my last post, I will catch up in a couple of hours. I wanted to jump on and ask a kind of silly question. I've decided to start blogging (cheaper than therapy)...but, of all things, I can't decide on what to name my blog (thank God I have no children, it took me three weeks to name my cat). If you care to "weigh" in on the subject, here are a few of the contenders:
  • thosethatweight (those that wait)
  • thehardweigh (the hard way)
  • onesweigh (one's way)
  • rightofweigh (right of way)
  • makeweigh (make way)

I find it easier to deal with dumb issues when I find an even dumber issue to focus on.....

I'll be back.
