We are the biggest losers this week YAY! go black team.
Last week was a really bad week for exercise. I jumped back in with both feet today though, I got in a 40min workout today but I haven't exercised at all since last Monday. There was so much going on I really didn't have the time or feel up to it.

Sending out a big hug to all the ladies stuck in a plateau right now. Plateaus suck! but keep working at it, it will pass.

Dea - I am definitely ready for winter to be over! The cold is driving me crazy. I love the snow though, it's beautiful and fun but commuting in it is crazy.

Diva - Glad your doctors appointments went well. Good job getting back on track after a few bad days. And Ozzy is such a cute puppers!

Julz - How cool is that, you found a relative on here.

ggmugsy - glad your son is okay

Chellez - feel better soon! Strep throat is horrible. I had it in October and WOW!

ceegee - I am going to have to check out this self.com challenge. I need to shake things up a bit. I'm hooked on the salad spritzers too. I haven't tried raspberry bliss yet but the balsamic is yummy!

Heather
- congrats on the loss!

Hope4me - Congrats the loss!!!!

Sxulcmnky - Congrats to you too!

caitbeans - I hope you and your little one feel better.

A big hello to all my other team members

Way to go black team we are so awesome . I'm hanging in there trying hard some times it is difficult to stay plan. Can being tired or not sleeping at night cause a stall in weight loss? It seems if I am tired or do not sleep well at night I have no motivation or I crave sweets, was just wondering if any one else had this happen. Good job every one have a good week. Rena

I am so motivated. We were the biggest losers this week. Go us. Congrats everyone.

I was glad to see Mark go home this week on TBL. He hasn't seemed to be the nicest person there this season. I wouldn't mind seeing Dan go home either. He seems kinda cocky. Either way I am happy for all of them. They are loosing weight and changing their lives.

Today I figured out the % of weight I have lost so far. I have lost 25.45% so far. That blows my mind. I have another 25% to lose to reach my goals. It feels good to see that %.

I am going to go pick up some of TBL workout DVD's tonight. I am excited to start them. Anyone that does them---what is your favorite one?

Off to the treadmill for a while. Talk to you all later.
i just got around to watching this week's TBL last night and i was Also happy that Mark went home... he irritates me with his cockiness.... i love the other football player (can't think of his name right now) and mark's brother... dan i could live without though... but i too am happy for all their accomplishments while being on the ranch.... i'm also super happy that the black team won...they're who i'm voting for... and i'm excited that brittany lost 6lbs this week... i think she is finally over her mental block of losing weight.

good morning everyone!!!

Morning!

Losin, from what I have read, sleep can definitely affect weight loss, hang in there!

I was also glad to see Mark go and Bernie doing great, he's so sweet.

I Googled it because I knew the answer but wasn't sure how to word it, lol!

I got this HERE.

There is some indication that women who are overweight may actually crave more sweetened fats, such as chocolate and ice cream. To deal with the cravings, try these suggestions:

Eat mini-meals. Eat small meals at regular intervals, ideally every two to four hours. Eating smaller amounts of food more frequently will often stop cravings.

Eat protein and a little fat. Try to include some protein and small amounts of fat in each of your meals. Often women try so hard to limit fat that we don't get ENOUGH protein or fat -- which in itself can cause hunger and possibly cravings. Protein foods include dairy products such as skim milk and non-fat yogurt as well as beef, chicken, fish, peanut butter, eggs, legumes and tofu. You could try:
half a turkey sandwich with an apple;
a small container of yogurt with whole grain crackers;
one to two ounces of cheese with a piece of fruit.
All contain protein and some fat, as well as carbohydrates.

Try to relax. Stress can often cause carbohydrate cravings. If you feel you're under stress, try a stress-management course or relaxation exercises.

Exercise. Lack of exercise can contribute to stress, so make sure you get regular exercise at least every other day.

Don't skip meals or restrict calories.
Restricting calories too far can cause hunger, which we can interpret as cravings. Allow yourself to eat when you are hungry. Avoid skipping meals. Make sure you are eating at least 1,600 calories per day.

Get some rest.
Make sure you get enough sleep. If you're so busy that you don't have time to sleep, try to rearrange your schedule. If you have enough hours of sleep but don't feel it is quality rest, talk to your physician. It could be stress, lack of exercise or a medical reason. People who are chronically tired often overeat carbohydrates.

Eat carbohydrates wisely.
Make sure the carbohydrates you do eat are nutritious ones! Fruits, vegetables and whole grains contain essential vitamins and minerals as well as carbohydrates. These are preferable to candy and nutrient-poor sweets.

Go easy on caffeine.
If you drink more than two cups of coffee or two cans of soda each day, try to cut back. Caffeine seems to make sugar cravings worse.

Good luck dealing with these issues!

Sincerely,
Lynn Grieger

Good morning Girlies (and dude if he's still around, lol).

Congratz everyone on Black being this weeks winner! Woooohoooo! I know I didn't contribute to the numbers but I am still proud.

I feel like poo. Not with a sickness or anything, but with a processed foods hangover. I hate when this happens. I started off with very good intentions yesterday, then my kid totally put me in a mood and BOOM, to the fridge I went. It was like I was possessed or something. By bedtime last night, I felt sick from food. I wanted to put my finger down my throat, but that's just gross, so I suffered. Anyways, hating this feeling so I am Back on track today! I am gonna drink lots of water and green tea, I'm heading to the GYM in a lil' bit, and I am going to eat CLEAN today! Surprisingly this hasn't effected the scale, I am actually down a pound. Go figure, lol!

I am gonna hit the GYM today, friday, and this weekend is suposed to be beautiful, so I am prolly gonna hit the pavemtn and power walk. It's just gorgeous outside today. We got MORE snow over night, but this is the best kind, it's got everything covered but the roads! LOL! So Matty(or shd I say bratty) was back in school, neener-nee ner.

Anywho, I am Back! Y'all have a great day!!!

Do any of you look at the ivillage site to see interviews with the eliminated TBL players??

Well, the "brotherly love" between Mark and Roger did NOT last long. He TRASHES Roger at the end of his little questionnaire.

Congratulations to everybody on the Black Team for winning week 6!!!

Let's do it AGAIN this week!!

Manda - Your 25% is HUGE! BIG HUG! You are doing GREAT!!

No time for other personals. Nursing a cold, sick DH and sick son. Dealing with insurance peeps. Icky.

Hey guys!

I got really dizzy this morning. I skipped breakfast because I was busy cleaning and thought that I would just eat when I finished what I was doing. I think that maybe my blood sugar got to low because I skipped breakfast. Have any of you ever had that problem?

ggmugsy---I hope that all of you feel better soon. Dealing with insurance stuff is such a headache! I can't believe that Mark had anything to say about Roger. I thought that Roger was a nice guy and still think that. Mark is maybe a sore loser. I am sure that they edit a ton out though and who knows, maybe Mark is a super nice guy and we just don't see it.

Karma---Good luck with the exercise this week. I can't seem to get started.

Rena---You got some good info on being tired stalling your weight loss. I know from personal experience that if I don't get enough sleep I crave bad foods and don't lose any weight. Get your husband one of those breath right things that stops snoring and try to get some sleep.

sxulcmnky---Hope you are having a great day!

mothermavis---I agree, Bernie is a sweetheart!

Diva---I always end up feeling like crap if I eat a bunch of bad for me processed foods. It almost makes it not worth eating it to begin with. I hope that you feel better. Maybe next time bratty is getting on your nerves you can go take a hot bath or something instead of giving in to food. I know how hard it is. With a 9yr old, a 4 yr old, a 30 yr old and a dog in the house that is the size of a horse I feel ya on the stress/anger eating!

hope4me---I hope that you feel better.

Have a great day ladies.

1. What is your eating plan of attack?
incorporate more fruits and veggies into my diet, and maintain my water intake.

2. What is your preferred method of exercise?
I can't wait to get back outside to start walking & jogging again. I start the C25K prgm on Saturday (regardless of the weather) I do enjoy my workout videos, but have to admit that I need to get some new ones

3. What is something you excelled at over the past 6 weeks?
getting my exercise in....either in the morning, afternoon or evening...whenever I can squeeze it in!

4. What is something you are still struggling with?
emotional eating...will probably always be a struggle for me.

5. What is your goal for the next 6 weeks?
Loose, loose, loose....maintaining is better than gaining, but enough is enough!

6. Say something positive about yourself!
I am proud of myself today because I was out doing errands this morning after a workshop, and I didn't give into the temptation of stoping at McDonalds....my favorite fast food stop!! I came home, had a diet coke and a salmon sandwich.

Way to go black team!!
I am on my own with my crew this weekend.....hubby is golfing in Florida...so I may have limited time to visit 3FC
So...have a great weekend everyone...stay on plan for another great weigh-in for Monday!

Hiya Team!

Just popping in to say hi and that the scale finally moved today (down, lol)! I think switching up the workout really made a difference. My body was just too used to plain running.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Happy Friday everyone.

I'm a little bummed. I hurt my foot yesterday @ the GYM. I guess when I was running I landed on it wrong. I had done a 40 minute walk/run, and then that happened, so I just walked for 20 more. But then last night, I could walk at all, and it still hurts this morning. I can at least walk now, but if I put too much pressure sharp pains shoot throught the top of my foot on the right side (Middle toe and up) and up my leg. Sigh...No GYM for me today.
