Thanks! I think that you're right. Then maybe as the weeks roll around I will add more time and more toning. See you tomorrow! Have a great evening.

Andrea - I'm so glad you agree, I don't want to sound like a bossy know-it-all.
It's just that since I know you are just re-starting your program, you should start out with baby steps. And what you said, about adding on as you go, is exactly what I think too......
Way to go...let me know how it works out for you....

Thanks again Star!

Yesterday I did the Gazell for 40 mins...I lost track of time and then it was just so nice to be DONE!

So, this evening I will do the upper body tape and the abs.

What kind of a routine do you have? Are you a morning or evening exerciser?

This week has been more challenging in terms of cravings and just being hungry in general. i've done good though and not caved in and have only eaten what I'm supposed to.

What doe your daily menu look like? Here's mine: Breakfast 1-2 eggs (poached) and 2 cups of coffee, lunch is a salad with either chicken or tuna, and supper is generally a salad, some green beans and 3-4 oz lean meat. For dessert I eat Sugar Free popsicles. I also drink about 64 oz water (sometimes more or less) and a few diet cokes.

My workout schedule is like this:

Get up at 4:30 a.m. Do 7 Minute Ab tape and Bun & Thigh tape. M-F
Drive to gym, get there at 6 a.m. M-W-F 45 minutes to hour cardio
T&T Light weight training - 45 minutes
On M-W-T nights I go to a Jazzercise class for an hour.....
That's it...
My eating is, this is what I get per day:

2 1/2 proteins
3 fruits
3 veggies
2 starches
1 dairy
1 fat
64 oz of water
sugarfree/ff jello or pudding......

pretty simple when I follow it....

Wow! That's a TON of exercise...you are my hero!! That really motivates me to look towards the future of working out.

I've heard of Jazzercise. Do you like it? Is it mostly dancing? I have thought that maybe someday I will join our Wellness Center here b/c its only $75 a yr for school employees. Then I eventually might take some aerobics classes in the evenings. I want to lose some more weight before I join b/c my town is snooty and the Wellness center is a meet-market. People that go there "run" in only certain crowds. Its really a shame.

Rebel -
Thanks for the two thumbs up on my workout schedule. BUT remember I LOVE working out fat or thin.....lol
I took Jazzercise 25 years ago and I remember it as dancy and fun.....
Well that was 25 years and 30 pounds ago, now it is hard work, but yes I still like it.
They have made it more competitive, one night is Cardio Quick, another Body Sculpt and the last is original Jazzercise.. the course lasts 8 weeks and this is week two. I'm the oldest but not the biggest in the class...
about gyms being meat markets - it happens alot. Another reason to go early in the morning....that's when the serious regulars are there.....

Very very true about the meat-market gyms. When I want (or need) to get a workout in...I get annoyed with that other stuff.

Have you always enjoyed working out or is it something you've learned to enjoy? I mean, like when you were at your highest weight did you love working out then? My aunt won't stick to a diet very long but she's always doing some sort of exercise. So she never really loses weight, but she doesnt gain a ton either. Once I get to doing it and get into it I'm ok. I just have to prepare myself for it all day so that I wont skip it. I always tell myself, "Ok...after work before you do anything get it over and done with" LOL. Pep talks, I guess. I did enjoy the women's only gym, but then I soon found out I could find even MORE excuses to not make it. Too many "things" going on or whatever. I think that for the time being my best bet is to do it at home and I always tell Mike about what I'll do, so that I can make myself accountable. When it comes to exercise I feel the need to have to answer to somebody. Dieting, I am just fine with. I'm kinda goofy that way!

andrea- that is not goofy. When I worked out after work, it was harder to get there and if one little thing came to mind that I should do, it was good enuj reason to drive right past the gym.....lol
I was a basketball player and cheerleader in high school. I joined my first gym in Phoenix, Az at 22 (in great shape). I went everyday and just loved it, since then I have jogged, done every kind of exercise available. Yes, I loved to workout fat or thin. When I was pregnant, my stomach got in my way around month 7. But it is more enjoyable when I'm thinner becuz I wear cuter workout clothes and feel better. There is just something about it that makes me feel happy. I guess it's that chemical that you make or something. Thru the years there may have been 3 months here or there that I didn't work out, but never longer than that.
I'm not one that needs a buddy to workout with, but usually I get to know other regulars at the gyms. I think working out is a very personal enjoyment thing for me. I actually feel very blessed to have the 'love it' gene.......lol
I always tell my friends if dieting were as easy for me as working out I would be in fantastic shape.....

Hi - what a nifty thread....I only read like 10-15 pages...I'll try to catch up as I go along. My bike is a 1980 Vespa P200E - vintage 2 stroke ...I've had it since 1985 but had about 10 years where I wasn't riding it. I've been back on it this summer - gas prices were killing me. Not that I don't enjoy the ride.

I've been working on my weight for a few years now - I lost about 100 pounds a year and a half ago- recently like 15 of them snuck back...so now I'm back to logging what I eat and kicking up the exercise a notch. I figure while I'm at it I should try for my original goal weight that I never really got to last time. We'll see....

HAHAHA Ladies! You are too funny.

Hi and welcome Chick in the Hat! We are so glad that you stopped by. As Star says, we talk motorcycles and just other stuff. I don't think ANYTHING is off limits with us. LOL. Your bike is sweet! Congratulations on the weightloss!! That is so great!

Star- How are you today? I actually did the toning last night with those blasted resistance bands...GEEZ...I'm feeling it today! Since it's only 10 min of upper and 10 of lower, I did both and then 10 mins of abs. So, I go in 30 mins of working out. 2 days in a row. YIPPEE. LOL. The last few weeks I probably have averaged 3 days a week. I weighed in last night. That was a BIG no no. I was up 5 pounds. I did inhale about 88 oz of water before weighing...plus it is TOM. It just can be so frustrating. I decided not to weigh until next week, but in the meantime I need to follow the plan perfectly.
