LOL Star! You're a hoot!

I bet it must feel great to be so much more active and healthy than some of the other women in your Jazzercise class. It's amazing when someone takes care of themselves that their age is really just a number. My 2 grandmothers are the a few years apart in age and 1 is very active and young acting and she even looks so much younger and healthier. The other tends to pamper herself, is not very active and you would think she's so much older, but she's the youngest of the two.

I told Dh that my plan next week with working out is to add a little more time to my cardio days. Right now I've been doing 30 minutes on average, but I think that I need to boost that to 45 mins. I really want to blast this fat off. I actually am starting to get in the routine and enjoy it a little more. Today is my upper, lower, abs toning...but I pulled a muscle in my back earlier. I think its working itself out, though. If I can't do the toning I'll stick to the Gazelle...we'll see.

Hello laydees!

Was a lovely day for biking today if a little cold. But it was cold and crisp and sunny! I love it! Makes me want to go out hiking!

I have a confession... I'm 22 years old and I have just eaten my first serious amount of vegetables! I also have to confess that I quite like them! However I think I will add less oil to my stir fry next time!

Star - I saw you lurking on LWL! I hope stumptuous gives you lots of ideas! That's what got me started on weights! They are seriously addictive! They should come with a health warning!

Rebel - I don't really get the whole "reunion" thing either, surely leaving all the behind was the best bit!

Well I am going to practise my back kicks when I get my lovely stir fry to go down! Have a lovely day/night

Andrea - that is such 'music' to my ears, that you are 'almost' liking the workouts My only advice right now is, remember don't go hog wild and add too much too soon. That is such a common mistake and ends in burnout.
But I do think a good place to add would be going 45 on cardio.
I am concerned about the muscle you may have pulled. Nothing to mess with and if you did infact pull a muscle you don't want to do toning there. You have to let it heal
About Jazzercise, I don't know that I'm in better shape than any of the others. It takes more energy for me do Jazzercise simply becuz it is totally different than cardio using say a recumbent bike, treadmill or eliptical machine. The machine you have to use now is your body.... And still even if I think I'm in better physical shape (stronger) than them, I'm still 15 pounds overweight and that still bothers me. Some of them are downright skinny. I do however, do the best grapevine.....
2frust - Do you mind telling us your name? If you do how about just making one up? About weight lifting - been there/done that - many years ago before it was popular for women to lift I did and I loved it. I was thinner then and got some real muscle definition. But years after and I put on weight I cut out the heavy weights. I still do light weights and circuit train. The problem there is that when I lift if I build too much muscle I still have some fat on top and I end up looking bigger. I think weight lifting is most effective when you are goal weight (JMHO)
Oh ****, I don't know the right answers. If I did I would be at goal. But one thing is for certain, I'm not ready to put on that floral moo-moo, eat bon-bons and watch tv all day....so I keep trying.

I count calories and exercise - i was on 1200-1400 cals a day for about a year and lost 100 lbs. Then I gained like 15 of it back over a year and a half...time to move the other direction again. For exercise I only walked last time. Recently (a few months ago) I started up at a gym...I'm thoroughly enjoying it...plus the dog is tired and getting older and can't keep up with me any more..he is the reason i still walk 1/2 hour a day.

Andrea - that's so cool you are going to be addicted (to exercise) soon...I never would have thought I would enjoy it either...but now i'm grumpy if i don't at least get my walk in every day. Luckily for me the weather is pretty cooperative for outdoor activities...

I made it through the weekend with just one day "off"!

I still had treats today but they were within calories! YAY!

Am getting up early tomorrow to squidge in my leg weights before work, so that then I can go to Lax training after work! I'll either die or love it!

Oooh ooh, I forgot to post in UK chicks - I SAW ROBBIE WILLIAMS TODAY!

Ok, early night for me! Off to dream of swanky dresses in Vogue!

Got some yummy healthy food today, chicken chow mein and an egg custard and erm, an apple!

Bring on the lax! Hooohah!

Gina- I love the paint job! Totally awesome! You're right about the exercise addiction. I am really craving an endorphin rush today.

2frustrated- Good for you getting up and starting your day off great!

Not a great weekend here. Our sick little student died Friday after school. Everyone's pretty sad, but we knew it would happen. I was so bad this weekend. I was Perfectly OFF Plan all damn weekend. I need to really get this figured out. I mean, I'm more than ready to get back on it, but I need to get these weekends under some control. I think that I might make myself a challenge of some sort...Hmmm...

I'll be back online in a bout 1/2 an hour...

Hello Biker Babes -
Nice paint job Gina....have fun riding. This is my favorite time to ride - Fall. I like to wear all my leather, chaps, vest, jacket, gloves, boots.......
Andrea - So sorry to hear about your student, I'm sure that is very hard on you (hugs). A plan to eat onthe weekend will do you good, just decide before the weekend gets here that you are gonna still go out and have fun but you are gonna do it within your rules. You'll be really proud of yourself when you learn to do that.
I did really well over the weekend, as far as eating and exercise...
Saturday I took the grandbaby girls to have their ears pierced. Kaycee (8 months old) cried ofcourse, but Jenna (4 yrs) didn't. They both look so cute with their little crystal earrings......
Yesterday I went to Ballys Health Club on an offer I got in the mail, to rejoin there for really cheap. I had forgotten how big and nice Ballys is, 20 treadmills, recumbent bikes and elitical machines, swimming pool, sauna, juice bar, weight rooms, the whole nine yards.. It made my little gym on the corner look like some poor person's gym....lol
I'll have to think about if I want to switch or not, I have alot for friends at the poor gym now....
Oh well, talk to ya'll later...hugs.

I wish we had a Bally's here. It sounds like a lot of fun. Back in the single days dh used to lift weights at Gold's Gym, but even that isn't in operation anymore.

Yeah, I really need to make a stronger commitment with myself to behave over the weekend. Honestly, I probably shouldn't even have a free day. I think that my #1 biggest problem with the weekend is drinking. I have some drinks, have a good time, then get the drunken munchies, and eat EVERYTHING. We do alot of socializing and sadly it involves drinking with friends. I thought of maybe not drinking but only every few weekends or buying foods to munch on when I get home...like Lean Cuisine frozen pizza or something. Also, dh likes to take a day off the diet, but then it becomes the whole weekend. I guess that whatever he chooses to do is up to him but I need to be more strict with myself.

Andrea - Don't beat yourself up. Your young and love to have fun. Unfortunately that doesn't last forever, it will pass. I mean you don't won't to give up all your fun. You just have to find a happy medium. I use to go out on weekends and drink and dance (prior to DH)......I wouldn't of given it up for anything. BUT if you are serious about losing weight you have to limit those good times. Drinking use to give me the uncontrollable muchies too, your control just goes out the window with a couple drinks under your belt....lol
I guess that's why the weekends are alittle easier for me now, I don't drink anymore and I have a different kind of fun than you young folks....lol
You'll figure it all out sooner or later.....meanwhile you can make big progress during the week.....how about keeping that your goal?
