yeah - I know it's the right thing to do, to be good, eat right, exercise and struggle to lose that.02 of a pound.......
But as a human, I'd like to say being that good all the time sucks.

I'm sure that everyone feels that way. You have done so good and come so far, but you can keep the losses coming. I think that happened to me the last time I did without for so long, then I hit a plateau, and I just went crazy on the eating. it makes me feel like I fail sometimes, but when I try to be good I have more self-esteem.

Good afternoon everyone!

I'm so excited. Our target store just opened a Starbucks and I'm in caramel light frapachino heaven right now mmmmmm

When I lost a lot of weight before I did the body for life method and did 6 good days and one day off, so I'm going to be trying that again. It keeps me on track during the week and knowing I'll be able to eat "bad" things on my free day without the guilt.

I did my workouts this weekend and I went riding on Saturday with our crazy neighbor. Here's a pic of me riding in the mud ... such fun!

You guys have a great day!
Kathy

Wow, Kathy, that does look like fun! Thanks for the pic! I think that you have a great idea about 6 days on and 1 off. Thats what I used to do, too and was successful at it.

hello ladies!!

Star, that wasn't a tantrum...but I know how ya feel. YES being good all the time sometimes sux! hang in there!! remember how good your arms look now? I keep thinking of that encouragement that you gave me...sticking to it for the LONG term. don't let a bad day put you off!!! now you all remind me of this post the next time I fall off the wagon

Laconia was GREAT! lots of rain, but that's OK. Husband bought me TourMaster saddlebags, they are GREAT, and he bought me a new leather jacket (?) that I didn't need or even ask for, but I took it the "nice" treatment is lasting longer than a couple of days, this is mixing me up to no end

I have some (well, like 70 ) pics from Laconia. I don't know how to resize, so if anyone wants to see some, I'll email them to ya. YEs, I rode the bull and stayed on for 40 seconds, which seems like an eternity when your one beer is threatening to bubble up

I was way off with my count of 200,000 bikers. Count was 400,000!!!

yes, Kathy, I am one lucky chick that I commute with my bike!

Hi Chicks -
I am so over my negitive vibes. Now I'm back to same ole same ole. I acutally never quit or give up I just like to complain every once in awhile. Yesterday I read something on Oprah.Com about her Boot Camp and her feelings about diet and exercise. I feel much the same way she does about exercise and I know she is right about what you eat. There is also alot on there about being POSITIVE.....it was very refreshing......
Holly, I would love to see some of your pictures, I know it would be too much to e-mail all of them but please send me some good ones. I'd love to see one of you on the bull......lol
Sounds like DH is giving you the "Honey, I know I'm and A_ _ BUT I really love you here this is for you" treatment. Good for you, take everything he wants to give you becuz this might only last alittle while.
Reb - what are you up to?
Hi Kathy.........

Hi ladies!

I haven't been around for the last few days because...... I was picking out and buying a new bike. I brought home an SV650 last night and I couldn't be happier. I'll post some pics after I get them today.

I've been a bad girl for the last 2 days. I haven't exercised at all, but I did eat right... for the most part. I did go out this morning and walk/jogged the track and I'm going to go out this evening and do it again. I'm going to try doing 2 workouts a day, somewhat shorter in length, just to jump-start my metabolism.

My husband is going out of town on Tuesday for 10 days, and I'm kinda looking forward to having some time completely to myself. I'm on vacation until I start my new job in August so this will be nice to just focus on ME, which I'm hardly ever able to do.

You guys have a great weekend and ride safe!
Kathy

Hi ladies!

Congrats on the new bike Kathy!! Yeah!!!

Trina- I am so glad that you are feeding yourself the good vibes. We all get frustrated with the journey, but its sooo worth sticking to.

Holly-That was so sweet of your hubby to do that for you!

Life is crazy busy here as usual. I feel so bad not checking in more often and I really apologize. I am struggling with the weight, but today was Mike's 1st day of lay-off and we are making a plan of getting a morning walk in during my break and then in the evening. That should really help out a lot. We both agree that we are letting ourselves slip big time. I hate feeling out of control. We are really trying to make more plans with being healthier. We are hoping to use this lay-off as a positive in getting ourselves back on track. Anyhow, I am taking some time off work from Thursday on to next Tuesday, so I should have more computer time and will check in during my little vacation. My parents 30th anniversary is this weekend and my brother and I are working to make it really special for them! Big Hugs!!!!

Rebel - Sounds like you have made some very positive decisions about DH's off time. Plans that will benifit both of you, PLUS when you work out the positive vibes just follow....good for you!
Have fun at the 30th anniversary get together.....I know your folks will appreciate it.
Hi to Holly and Kathy......
Hey I'm getting ready for vacation, we leave on Friday, so Thrusday will be my last day here until July 11th. We are going to Park City, Utah to visit SIL and family; 2 sons, 2 dinl's, 0 grandbabites, DH and her. My whole family is going from here; 2 sons, 2 dil's, 2 grandbabies, DH and me. My family and DSIL's family lived near each other in Texas when our boys were little. So this should be a very special time.
Rebel - My losing has almost come to a stop and I'll be more motivated when I return from the vacation. DSIL will assist me with good food choices becuz she has been on Atkins Maintenance for years and is always supportive to me about eating right.
Okay - talk to you chicks later....Hugs!

Hi Biker Babes -
Thought I would post today for the last time until I return from Utah.
I started packing last night. the rule I try to follow is to pack outfits and not overpack. So today I wore one of the capri outfits that I won't be taking, but now I'm thinking it's so cute - I should take it anyhow......lol No, I don't want to over-pack. Plus four of the 6 girls that will be there can wear the same sizes and I'm in that four. So what I don't take I could borrow if I need to. My big problem is shoes, always want to take too many. But DSIL has told me it is casual there and you don't ever have to get dressed up unless you choose to. Probably she and I will spend alot of time taking care of the babies anyhow, no need to look too good for that....lol
I got the Mystic Tan, did the medium setting, twice and it looks awesome! I think it only lasts about 4 or 5 days, but it was worth the money for sure.
Okay this is my eating and exercise plan for Utah. I'm gonna really pay attention to what I eat as well as portion control. I figure this is no reason to gain 5 pounds, becuz it's just too hard to get back off (been there/done that). I told DH last night I'm gonna walk everyday and if nobody else will go with me he gets to. But I'm sure I can get someone to grab a baby & stroller and go with me and my baby & stroller...lol
anyhow, I will be back on the 11th of July. I will also be a year older (if I remember correctly?)......Bye Babes

Star - You have a fantastic time in Utah! The weather has been beautiful and Park City is a great place. There's lot's to do so I'm sure you'll be able to get your walking in each day.

I'm officially on my vacation, hubby has been out of town for 2 days and I've got a lot accomplished around the house already. Todays plans include re-grouting the tub. Wooo hooo! I've been good with my exercise, but I think I need to be more strict on what I eat, then I might see some progress.

My new bike is a little too tall for me and I need to put on some lowering links, so I have to wait until my husband gets back to ride. Which really sucks because we've been having awesome weather here. Oh well, I'd rather wait than risk dropping it. Here's a link to a pic of it.

How's everyone else doing? It's kinda slow here, you all must be out riding!

Have a great day!
Kathy

Hiya ladies!!

Wow, I'm officially on vacation, too! Dh went to KC today with my dad (a truck driver) so I am spending the day with mom. It is so darn hot here, but I also complain when its too cold, lol.

Trina- Have fun in Utah...I'm sure you'll have a blast with all the family. Your plan to maintain over your vacation sounds great. With the weekend and all the cooking out and beer I'm sure that my diet will go astray. When you get back I will be more than happy to join a challenge with you.

Kathy- I love your bike! She's gorgeous! Sounds like you are super busy on your vacation, too.

Hey Holly...

Star you are so lucky to have such a cool SIL...mine's a little psycho...and not in a good way either

Later chicks!
