Andrea - too funny...I'm still waiting to be a grown up as well...oatmeal is a breakfast food....therefore, if you eat oatmeal cookies in the morning...they don't count as cheating right? Sounds kinda like Monty Python logic...."if she floats on water she's a witch..."

Work is a bit hairy today....I'll be back later if I can.

Oatmeal cookies definitely don't count at breakfast... Or if you eat them after a "healthy" Subway sub! Subway do the BEST oatmeal & raisin cookise IMHO!

Holly - chuffed = pleased, in a satisfied sort of way. "I'm well chuffed" = I'm really pleased but not too excited

Hello all you spring breakers and domesticated ladies! I took a day off work yesterday and baked flapjacks... Now this is an English thing too! Kinda like granola bars, but I guess they are chewier, although I've never had a granola bar! Oh and I batch baked a TON of protein pancakes, so I'll be satisfied for the next month or two on that front!

Kickboxing last night was good, although I managed to give someone a hearty kick in the elbow (oh and someone else got a kick where I shouldn't have been kicking ) and I hurt my foot well and truly on those boney elbows! At least I didn't break a toe like last time!

Kickboxing again tomorrow morning, then wedding dress trials, then Brussels on Sunday! Crazy weekend

Oh and now both my precious bikes (say in a golem accent) are hidden away in the -2 basement with electric gates sealing them off from stoners who want to steal my Harley badges! (even though it's a far cry from any Harley I've seen )

Gina - if you see any rabbits - RUN AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

2 Frus you crack me up. Flapjacks I would consider the same thing as pancakes, interesting. Be careful with those kicks. I think you have deadly weapons Chick! Have fun finding the prefect dress! I am planning my 25th wedding anniversary so I can kind of relate, not as much pressure for sure. We are going to have a dinner on Friday night for about 50 folks. I am doing it in my back yard as it is in June. We are going to use the good china and real glasses. My girlfriend and I are going to make salmon, grilled aspragus, salad, different yummy breads, some yummy dessert, wine, beer, and good times. Saturday we will renew our vows and have a dessert reception following. I am looking at an outdoor venue. It should be fun!

Hey all I am on spring break this next week. And it is Friday !!! I don't know what I am going to do but it will be nice to have the time off. Hopefully the weather will corporate.

Have a nice day and weekend all and Keep on Keep'n on!

*slinking quietly back into thread* Hi everyone
My head still hurts a little bit from falling so hard off of the wagon . My wake up call was yesterday when I put on my riding pants and WOW were they snug. Guess I need to start my "riding diet! No more slackin off for me, I love my bikes way too much to miss out on riding because my pants are uncomfortable. Of course, it was about 68 degrees and beautiful yesterday and today is about 50 cold, windy and yucky. Stupid weather.

I haven't read all the posts, but it looks like everyone is doing good.

I'm glad to be back, some accountability will be good for me. I used to have the willpower of a rock, now it's more like a marshmallow. So I need to realize what's truely important to me and work towards getting there.

Well chickies, I'm done with work, and off to take the dogs on a nice long walk. Have a great weekend.

Gina... I decided to just "eat sensibly" but I didn't... We had chocolate, bread, cheese, quiche, frites, crisps, chocolate... I'm a naughty naughty Frus! But I have been reading American shape and there was something that struck me - Are you interested in losing weight or COMMITED to losing weight... From that sentence onwards I am COMMITED to losing weight!

Oh and the bridezilla pictures are up under "Blushing Bride" in the UK chicks forum

Morning Chicks!

Ok, so after a week off and spending about 90% of it cleaning and fixing the house...I need another week off to relax. But sadly, I'm back to work! I really should have taken a couple of personal days this week, but I know that when summer rolls around I'll really want to use them then.

We FINALLY bought saddlebags for the bike over the weekend. They look terrific on the Harley.

Kathy, I agree about starting the "riding diet." I took all week off dieting last week, but I was incredibly busy...so maybe it equaled out?! Either way I'm too chicken to weigh in. LOL.

I'll check in again later...just wanted to say hi!

Default I'm BAAAAAAACK!

Hey Chickies!

I'm Back from the Islands, Mon (insert Island-type accent) and woooooeeeeeeee do I have a great tan! Missed Ya'll!

Got on the scale this morning and I'm down a pound!!! Am not moving my weight-tracker tho, because it's just too hard to believe with all the Tortuga Rum Cake I ate!!!

Had a wonderful time and Grand Cayman is a wonderful island. It's clean, clean, clean....the people are mega-friendly, you can drink the water & eat the veggies....they have great grocery stores...the beach and water are to-die-for....and I loved it SO MUCH that I bought a time-share, sight unseen by HH!!! How BRAVE is THAT!? SO....now we own a teeny piece of British Virgin Islands Paradise! Headed there again next year for TWO weeks, my SIL's week and our week back-to-back. We're actually going to allow our HH's to go along (they're brothers) for one of the weeks.

Looks like everyone is doing well in my absence, I'm glad to see! Looks like many have lost or maintained their weights....YAY!

2frus.....WOW do you look awesome in each and every one of those dresses!!! Can't wait to see which one you choose!

Harley....25 year anniversary and an outdoor party to celebrate! You GO Girl!

Holly.....Time for us to embark on the Myrtle Beach Diet!!! I'm IN! We also have to figure out a place to meet for a drink while we're there so we can SEE each other!

More later, Girls.....trying to get caught up around here Gotta get back in the Gazelle groove with my buddy, Tony too. Not today tho....too much to do.

Hello all! Haven't decided which dress yet... I have one more to try on in a couple of weeks...

BUT I have bought one on e-bay which is identical to the dress in the first two pictures, apart from the fact there is no train, which is good since it will get all mucky and drag around and get stood on! Oh and it was £27 - approx $55

It's all windy out here, been buffeted about a little bit last night and this morning. Never mind, I'm all in one piece and the sun is shining!

Did sprinty things at lunch yesterday, then kickboxing last night. Sprinty things this lunchtime and kickboxing tonight... See a pattern emerging?

Ok off to find more food. Brekky was not filling at all!

Hey everyone!

2fru- Wow! What a bargain on that wedding dress. I should have thought of looking on eBay when I was getting married.

Gina-Hahaha!! I started laughing out loud when I saw Hapless, hairy, and horrible. Too funny! Good thing you didn't say homely or haggard....LOL!!!

Jill- Glad you had a great time!!

Harley- Congrats on 25 years. Your anniversary party sounds like a lot of fun.

Hi to everyone else! Not much to report on today. I guess that's ok, then. LOL. Have a good one ladies.

The ebay dress has arrived! It's lovely! I'm pleased with it, and it will do if I don't find anything better!!! It's a tad short though, about ankle length, but that's fine too! Just need some lovely sandals to go with it

Had a mega kickboxing time last night! I hit my instructor! YAY! I never ever land any punches on him, he's just too good! But last night I did it! Hooray!

I also beat up my inner fat chick pretty well and good and worked out really really hard!

Here's to a good day today
