Hi Chickies!

I managed to get a short ride in today - just like an hour around town. It was great - especially after I put some gloves on cause my hands froze. It wasn't quite a warm as it looked. But it was a nice ride!

I've been trying to get the house in order - we have some friends coming in from Florida for a week. It should be fun! But I might be kinda AWOL off and on. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!!

Hi BikerBabes!

Well...I'm outta here in a coupla hours.....off for my week on the beach.
I WILL miss all of you...I'm sincere when I say that. You're my rock when it comes to staying on track w/ exercise....so you can imagine I won't be doing any of that this week! I won't have ya'll crackin' the whip! Hopefully I can stay somewhat on plan and take some beach hikes on the sand to keep up a little, but I'm just not going to worry too much about it. When I get back tho....My Myrtle Beach Goal will be LOOMING upon me, so I will be focused on making that goal happen! You and Me for MB.....right, Holly?!

Have a wonderful week, Everyone ....and try to get out there and RIDE!!!

Jill, bon voyage! have a great time, and YES and then it's you n me at Myrtle B!!!!

Gina, hoo-ray for you getting a ride in! I know that "hmmmm, guess it's colder than it looks" feeling, LOL!

Hi HarleyMom, glad your kids got their grump-inducing testing over and it's the weekend for you.

Hiya rebel, 2frust, and Star!

Hey, have we shared what we all do for work? don't recall if we all know or not...how about a refresher?

me - in winter, I do retail at a convenience store/deli in Stowe ("Ski Capital of the East"). I make sandwiches and and do cashier. It doesn't take too much smarts just alot of patience with the tourists. From mid-May to late October, I go back (this will be my fifth year) at a private secluded fly fishing club, where I do the pastry baking, and cook breakfast 2 days a week, and sometimes dishwash or waitstaff if needed.

Hello!

I passed my red belt! Green one next...

I yelled at a cager this morning! She said she didn't see me. I wear fluro reflective yellow. Methinks she didn't see me because she didn't look

I'm trying to be a good girl after a weekend of muffins, cakes and ice cream!

Oh I'm a Designer, I design products for disabled people.

Freaking cagers!! (FYI - cager is 2Fru-ese for people in cars )
We had a lovely day in San Francisco yesterday with the Florida visitors....doing all the tourist stuff...I managed to stay more or less OP... thank god for seafood !!
Raining again over here...no more riding for a day or two.
What do I do for a living? I ask myself that all the time I'm a business analyst/tech support person...basically I write requirements for software upgrades to a health care bill review system for workers comp. I also buy stuff for the account like servers and software...and troubleshoot grumpy pcs...and grumpy users. Lately I've been On Call a lot - which means I get called whenever the system goes down or runs too slow...not my fav thing.

It is snowing like crazy here in Colorado. First day of spring is not to spring. 2 Frus you seem to have a real problem with cagers not watching for you. What is up with that??

What do I do? I am a Admin Asst. to the head of Athletics for the Denver Public School System. I schedule games for high school Athlete's and hire officials to work those games. I do payroll for coaches amoungst other things. It is a fun job. I have done other things in my life like fast food manager, retail store, breakfast cook, receptionist. Glad I have my Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 job these days. I don't want to work all those crazy hours anymore. Plus I don't want to have to deal with a bunch of knuckle heads. Gina I feel sorry for you. We always take our frustration out on the IT folks. Maybe I better start being a little nicer. 2 Frus, I think it is great you do work for special needs folks, my father has MS and is deaf so I have a special place in my heart for folks that can't get around like we do. Holly sounds like your a busy busy gal doing the things that need to be done. A baker yummmy! I can't wait to here what everyone else does. I know Reb works with special needs kids because we both work on those lots of days off schedules!

I hope FL Sun is having a wonderful time on her trip. I hope she is soaking up some sunshine for all of us!

Take care all and may the wind be at your back and the sun at your face and keep on reach'n for the stars!

I got "cager" from Holly!

I also beeped at another one today, pulling out of a queue that I was riding beside (perfectly legitimately in the other lane), not indicating and he didn't even have a wing mirror! He couldn't possibly have seen me, because he didn't have mirrors! Anyway, that one was a little closer than the lady yesterday. Happened at the same place too. Good job I am awake in the mornings, unlike most of the other people on the roads!

Enough about pricks on the road! I am back running again! I missed it, but I'm sore now - Oh. My. Quads! Did my tiddler class last night, there were only 4 people there, so it was quite nice, and most of them were attentive and actually doing things I was telling them...

Got more training tonight, practising for the next belt I'm eating healthily too. Hooray!

Oops - my bad....that would make cager a Holly-ese term. gotta give credit where it is due. I bet London is a tough place for bikers just 'cause it's such a big city....

Hey 2Fru - I never said congrats on your RED BELT!! Woo Hoo!! And on the NSV's of your clothes that used to fit when you were the same weight falling off!

Harleymom - hope spring comes soon for ya!!

Back to work....having a hard time motivating myself to work today...

OK it is all of 18 degrees right now but it is not snowing. Where are you spring

I am working out hard enough that I am sore today. I used the biggest looser tape for a couple of days and used both cardio and circuit training. I got a decent work out like that.

Well chicks pretty uneventful day. Keep on Keep'n on!

Hi chicks! 2frust, I am GLAD that you are alert enough to take evasive action from the jerky cagers!! It's up to US unfortunately to be responsible for keeping safe from them and their bad driving Yay to you for yelling Let them know that they did wrong!

OH! and BIG CONGRATS on your belt!!!

Hi Gina! glad you had a good tourist-y day with your visitors. and kudos to you for staying OP!

Hi Harleymom! I saw the snow on the news - sorry!! we have't had much new snow, but it's still cold and none has melted.

I got sick over the weekend i was feeling a little run-down on Saturday, then my throat felt funny, then Sunday morning woke up and couldn't talk!! And I still had to work Sunday and Monday....ya know, if it's obvious that a person has laryngitis, wouldn't you be considerate and NOT ask them to repeat something? that happened to me all day Sunday and Monday, which did not help my voice any!! At least I had today off, and tomorrow, so I am resting up my voice and it's a little better.

AND along with the feeling run-down came my lack of will-power! and ate cookies like all day Sunday. I'll try not to let it bother me too much and just try to do better.

When Jill comes back, I'll have to tell her that she and I should do the "Myrtle Beach diet"

keep on keep'n on, and come on, warm weather!!!!!!!!

It's here!

No cagers this morning either Hooray!

Well done Gina for staying on plan You must have plenty of going around your neck of the woods!

Poor Holly, cookies are a cure for laryngitis - FACK!

I've got the sheet for my next belt, so that I know what I have to practise. It all looks so easy! I'm chuffed that I have a whole 2 months to really polish it up nicely!

Eating has been good past 2 or 3 days, scales are being ok with me... I think it will be a slow and steady race from here on out! I don't mind as long as the overall trend is down... and I look good for my November wedding!

Hey girls!

I have been on Spring Break this week and been SUPER busy!! I have been renovating our spare bedroom. So much work. I have painted, cleaned, and bordered. Today I repainted the bathroom, too. Hopefully on Friday we'll get our new bedset in. My back is KILLING me!

I have not stuck to plan over my break. In fact I'm baking oatmeal raisin cookies as I type. LOL. I've been pretty domestic acting this past week. How odd! Sewing, baking, and household chores. Not your typical Andrea. Hehe.

Holly-Hope you're feeling better, girl!

Harley- I agree about this yucky weather. It's dreary and cold here.

2fru- Congrats on the red belt! YEAHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Gina- WOW!!! Thats some job! I got confused just reading what you do. LOL.

As for jobs... from Aug. to May I work as a Special Education Paraeducator in the school district here. I do alot of modifying classroom work for children with minor to severe needs. From June to early Aug. I work with the school district doing maintenance work. Mostly cleaning carpets. Pretty exciting. I'm really still not sure what I'm going to be when I grow up.

me neither! good to hear from you, Rebel! wow, you've been busy! nice to get your place the way you want. Being all domesitcated is nice! cooking, baking, sewing...it's nice to take good care of your home. I wouldn't know

2frust - I will take a guess that "chuffed" means excited? just once in a while, I need a UK/US dictionary

My voice is getting better after two days off, yay. Back to work tomorrow, hope it doesn't come all undone.

I don't think I did too much damage with the cookies on Sunday, haven't had much of an appetite since, but skipped 2 workout days. Haven't done that in a long time, but I just didn't feel up to it. I'm sure I will tomorrow.

Got a call from the insurance company of the guy who hit me, they will be coming out next week to photograph "any scars from the accident". Well, there is only one scar, thank goodness, and it isn't visible unless you're a toddler or a 'little person' as it's directly under my chin. I'm glad that i'm not horribly disfigured, but it sure won't get me much money just kidding, chicks!

Hi Harleymom, good for you for being sore!

have a good night and an on-program day tomorrow!

Reb Great to here from you. Ahh spring break. Mine is next week. Hopefully the weather will corporate. You sound like me. I will be doing some spring cleaning next week. I am broke and can not afford to take off anywhere so I will stay home and make good use out of my time.

OK gals I weighed in with a 2.4 gain this week. I was soo mad! That is the first time that has happened sense I went on this journey. I will continue to work out and do what I've been doing but it makes me crazy when I work so hard and have a gain like that. Hopefully I will bounce back next week.

Holly glad your feeling better. Keep focused on your program.

2 Frus send some of that sunshine my way. Sounds like your staying on track. Keep up the good work.

Well all take care and have a great day. Keep on Keep'n on!
