Hey Reb....no, I never noticed my feet falling asleep on the Gazelle....maybe it's because I fall asleep before I GET to my Gazelle!! LOL

Harley...I'm trying, but not hard enough (I guess) to get back in love with Tony & My Gazelle!!! Tomorrow, HH is off work for the first time in 8 days...so we will be RIDING WITH THE WIND!!! We're headed to the west coast of Florida to a teeeeny little town called Bayport. There are several restaurants there, so how many of us ride over will depend on where we go. It's not the food....it's the COCKTAILS that get me!!! Heck...I'm just on the back, so I can sway with the wind!

I live in Twin Falls, Idaho. The falls are the Shoshone Falls, absolutely gorgeous this time of year. I actually got married to hubby in the park over looking them, but there wasn't any water flowing at the time. I'm very very fortunate to live in this area. What I didn't tell you, and I don't have a pic of, is that at the end of the path is the Evel Knivel jump .That's where he tried to launch his rocket thingy and didn't make it accross.

Jill...So - Idaho ain't just potatoes....

Andrea - try loosening your shoelaces....My foot fell asleep a couple times on the elliptical...it helped. If it doesn't help...new shoes might be a good idea.

2Fru - Yay - love the sparkly one!!

Harleymom...payroll? Can you cut us in? It has been a long time since I was in high school...and maybe my memory is fading...but I look at pics of myself from those days and I wasn't that big. But I was fatter than most of the other kids...when I see the kids coming out of school now - it does seem like they are bigger.

Kathy - ya gotta work on that lying...

OK Reb it is so funny you would mention your feet going numb because I had a consultation last night and told my consultant that very thing. She told me she was having trouble with that and needed new shoes. So I am going to go out and buy a new pair of tennis shoes. I told her I could only go 40 min. and my feet hurt so I had to get off. She asked me if my feet hurt after sitting long periods, I couldn't tell her as I don't pay much attention. She told me it is very bad and you can have trouble for years if you don't wear good shoes to excersise. Another thing that women informed me of was that margarita I had on saturday has 5 fats, hmmm wonder if that is where the .2 gain came in. 5 fats wow! Daiquiri has 8 fats, yes ladies 8. She told me that everytime some one goes to Las Vegas they come back with a weight gain because of the alcohol they drink.

Well chicks keep on keep'n on!

Hey ladies!

Thanks for the advice concerning the shoes. I think that I will be making a shoe purchase very soon! It's funny b/c it is only that way on something stationary (like the Gazelle) my feet are ok when I'm out walking and jogging. My friend told me that I may be adding to much pressure to some bone on the top of the foot and instead of criss crossing the laces to lace them straight where that bone's at.

Harley- I'm not surprised about the calories in mixed drinks, but I am surprised how it really does affect the fat count. Which makes sense. It's incredible!

Jill- Have fun riding!

Gina- That's exactly what I think when I look at old pics of myself. I wasn't tiny, but I wasnt that big!

Kathy- Wow! That's a pretty exciting area you live!

I didn't lose anything this week. Booo hoooo! I thought that I did really good, but I guess there's always room for improvement. Anyhow, it's frustrating!

Have a great Friday chicks!

Hey ladies!!!!!! My laptop died, so I have to share computers with my son and DH - literally have to fight for 'puter time! LOL!

so much great reading to catch up on here!!! first, Kathy, hugs to you from me also, on your decision and desire...best of luck to you!!! we're here for you, girl!

Gina - OMG hilarious!! the beer bungie. I have to suggest that for our next club get-togehter!! and yeah, the guy with the Fur Shorts - LOL!!!

Jill - hi there!!! I'm eating too much again...sigh...but my exercise is right on...I'm just plugging away!

Rebel - Hi! glad you got out on your bike!

2frust - WOW - I love the sparkly dress on right, it DOES show your (ahem) assets nicely! love the halter neck, and you have nice slender arms, and it shows your neat waist - I'd get that one, if I looked that good in it

Star - Hi girl!! miss ya, love ya

Harlyemom - HI!! yes, I am trying to keep on keepin' on

OK - PICKED UP MY NEW BIKE ON WEDNESDAY!!! She is HOT!!! oh my gosh, and the power?!? I could get in trouble with this baby Here's a link to one of my forums where I posted a pic. Yes, I am Cupcake on the road - http://www.motorcyclecity.com/Street...pic.php?t=3444

The Bubs JugHuggers sound incredible!!! and all that chrome My only complaint so far is that the hypercharger sticks out too far for me to get my right foot up on the crusing peg...I'm sure Kuryakyn makes some sort of extender for that purpose.

Already have a sport shield on it, I HAVE to have a windshield. And I will need bags, tho this time I want very subdued bags, no studs or conchos, to fit with the sleek streamlined understated look. I do love studs and conchos and fringe, but not on this bike, I think.

I rode it to work yesterday and got SO many comps! and of course, guys asking 'who's bike is that outside?" and of course not expecting a 40-ish lady to say MINE!

have a great day! I'm gonna ride it to work again, yay!!

Wow Holly that is one nice scoot! Congrats, no wonder you haven't posted in a few days. You where to busy drooling over the new ride, and getting ready to go pick it up I am sure.

Reb good to here from you and keep up the good work. As my consultant is telling me time after time no loss does not mean defeat. Just keep on motoring through and you'll see a weight loss. Good luck on the foot issues.

Did my taxes last night ugh 4 hours at the computer, my kids where chomping to get on it but sorry it was moms night to get somethings done and they got a new mouse out of the deal as I couldn't get the one that was on there to work.

Well hi to all and happy Easter. Have a good riding weekend and Keep on Keep'n on Chicks!

Hi everyone!

It's Friday, I'm taking off work early and I'm going to take my 12yr old son out for a mother/son night away. I'm so excited! This is our first time that we've got to spend this kind of time together. We're going to to to SLC, spend the night there then go to the Zoo in the morning.

One week until I'm able to take out the street bike. Raining or not, next weekend I'm going to be on 2 wheels!

Holly, you're new bike is beautiful!

Everyone stay safe this weekend and have a happy Easter!

Kathy

Holly- Congrats on that hot bike! It looks awesome. You made a great decision!

Harley-OOPS! I haven't done my state taxes yet. Shoot! I get a whole whoppin' $80. Yippee. Thanks for the reminder.

Kathy- Have a great time with your son! Should be a beautiful weekend for the zoo.

Hi everyone else! Have a great Easter weekend! I have today and Monday off for Easter. We're going to have a cookout tomorrow, so that will be pretty fun. Oh! I lost the weight! I am down 3.8 pounds! Yeah!

Have a fantastic weekend.

Woo Hoo Andrea!!!! 10 pounds gone!!!
Kathy - the zoo!!! YAY!! Quality MOM time - good stuff!! Enjoy!
Harleymom - I'm going tomorrow to see the Tax chick to finish our taxes...I like to say I work well under pressure...but really I am the queen of procrastination.
Holly - beautiful bike!!! I also like the signature of VT Vulcan Rider...My hair isn't gray. It's chrome. I'm not really sure what to say about the guy in the fur pants...I will mention that everything included on the pants is fake. Thanks, dude. I was a little tripped by him...there was a certain entertainment value the next day, though....he couldn't wash his fake tan off...

I got a short ride in yesterday....might try to get another one in this evening...gotta walk the dawg first.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Hubby and I went on our second ride of the season!! I was so excited. He has a V-8 Cannon. He has had several bikes (not counting dirt bikes) over the years from his first BSA at 16 to Harley's to a Victory and now the V-8 bike. He keeps talking about selling the Harley but it's purple and I love it. He wants me to learn to drive. It is currently raked out, kick start & suicide shift--He 's telling me if I am really serious about learning to ride solo he will convert it back and add an electric start. My question is where do I start I have never driven anything but automatics. Any suggestions??

Jules, sign up for a motorcycle safety course they're fun and a great SAFE way to get comfortable on a motorcycle. I quit motorcycling when the kids were small and only recently took it up again - and I took a MSF course (in WA state, you just show your MSF card to motorvehicle folks to get a motorcycle license endorsement. Taking a MSF course can also cut your insurance rates ). MSF courses have all ranges of riders from no prior experience to motorcycle cops brushing up on their bike-handling skills.
I recommend them!

Hi all!
The zoo was a blast! My son is tireless though. We walked for 3 hours straight and he never wanted a break, he was too busy taking pictures. The weather was kind of gray and supposed to rain so we had most of the zoo to ourselves for the first couple of hours. But the weather started to get nice so more people started coming in later on. It was good to spend some time with him one on one.

Way to go on the weight loss Andrea!!

Jules, the best thing to do is take the MSF course. They start very very basic and you'll learn a lot. Then after the course, practice in parking lots until you feel safe to venture out into the street. Just take it slow, there's no need to rush until you feel comfortable on the bike. But I have one warning for you, once you start riding solo, you'll never want to ride pillion again!

I hope everyone had a great weekend too, and were able to get out and ride some *even though I'm incredibly jealous!!! * It was snowing here today. It's April, when is this going to stop?!?!

Well I'm off to process some of the photos I took and I'll put up some links later!

Kathy
