Yes...Myrtle Beach was a GREAT time! Got home last evening after 10 pretty wonderful days. Holly, don't feel bad...I GOT THE 24-hour FLU on the way UP!!!!! Thought I was gonna die hangin' off the back of the bike the last 100+ miles, stoppin' to barf every little while....it was just awful. That was Saturday the 13th. Was lucky to get into our timeshare condo earlier than they usually allow, and spent the rest of the day and that night sound asleep. Woke up Sunday feeling pretty OK...and by noon was rarin' to go. My 24 hours in **** was up. Wouldn't have had time to get together with you before you left under those circumstances anyway. Maybe next year. We bought lots of stuff that we probably didn't need, but had a great time doing it. One of the highlites of our trip was a poker run on Monday through the back roads of the county with a stop at a cute little winery. The owner was thrilled (really!) when 40 bikes showed up! Another fun thing was the night we went to Broadway at the Beach to a place called Croccodile Rocks where they have dueling pianos with some crazy guys pounding out rock and dirty jokes. It was a blast. Also had lunch one day on Pawleys Island at a New Orleans-style restaurant called Flo's Place. It's on the water and boy was the food outstanding.
Needless to say, I've had to raise my weight-tracker a bit...but oh well, I'm getting back on track today, so with your help I'm aiming for my goal again!! Just have to begin my affair with Tony and my weights again. KICK MY BUTT...will you, Girls???!!!
Other than that pesky flu-bug, our ride up was wonderful, perfect weather. We stopped in Charleston....then in Savannah on the way back. Had fun exploring both places. It rained cat and dogs upon leaving Myrtle Beach this past Saturday...but once we got about 50 miles down the road, the sun came out, thank God. Now we're home safe & sound with laundry up to my eyeballs!
More later, glad to see ya'll are doing well and getting out there to ride! 3-day weekend coming up...ENJOY!
Hugs to Everyone

Me on a new Honda Trike at The Trike Shop display. They built the trike we have...a 1999 Harley Ultra Classic.
Mike and me at Flo's Place on Pawley's Island. GREAT GOOD!
Holly and Jill OMG I am so jealous. It sounds like you both had such a great time! Jill love the pictures. You are so cute. I have never been sick on the scoot, I can not imagine it. You poor thing! At least it was fast and you were able to enjoy your vacation for the rest of the week.
Well chicks it was a busy weekend. Ran 3 miles and biked 12 miles on Saturday. I am sore today. I woke up several times in the middle of the night with my muscles cramping up. Uck! My son laughed at me. Little mister fire fighter I am 21 years old and in great shape smart butt. Anyhow I did it. Running is a lot harder than I thought. I am going to keep it up though as I am determined to do a triathalon.
Hope you all had a great weekend and Keep on Keep'n on Chicks!
Went and did bikram yoga last night and it kicked by tail. It is 105 degress in there. At one point I thought I was going to pass out. I feel really good today as I think I got rid of all toxions in my body.
My bike got blown over in the wind when it was parked!!! The front spotlight got cracked and the wires in the back indicator severed, so I've had the guys at work fix it for me He also said that my tyres are getting bald, which I kinda knew but haven't really done anything about. I'm due a new bike next Jan because I move up a power rating - I will be unrestricted in what size bike I can legally ride. So I'm thinking about getting a new bike now and not getting new tyres. Rumour has it that it'll set me back about £400 for some tyres! I'd rather spend that amount on a new bike!
I rang one place for an approximate quote for how much they'd give me if I part exed my bike with them and they just about cut me off, almost as soon as they said - no I'd have to see it. So ooooooh to you! I can go round tomorrow night I think. It needs a good washing and a few things taking off before I go to see them though. However another place will do me a quote over the net! Wierd or what!?
My name is Greta , I'm 35, weight 195lbs size 14 5'8. I want to get down to 130 lbs as quick as I can, I feel ugly fat tire etc etc etc. I own a motorcycle shop in Puerto Rico , My hubby is a Custom Builder here in the Island even though he is originally from Canada, We've met overe the net almost 8 years ago.
Jill & Holly- Your trip sounds pretty fun...I'm so jealous!
Sorry I've been MIA this week, again. It's just been a week of H-E-L-L!! I had to go for a doctor appointment and she's very concerned about my weight, of course. I am 10 pounds heavier than the last time I went to see her, but the sad thing is that I'm really trying hard to lose! I don't get it. She mentioned something about the consideration of gastric bypass, I'm not sure I want to go that route right now. Plus, I doubt my insurance covers it. She also ran around 8 blood tests. She thinks that I may have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or some other medical issue that is making the loss so much harder. I should know the results in a week. I go to see a nutritionist next Friday and so I decided to write down every bite that I consume and show her when I go.
Well, ladies, I hope that you all have a good weekend. Anyone have plans? We may cookout. I'm really tempted to try a Boca burger on the grill...maybe I'll get brave and try! I tried Gardenburgers a few years ago and thought they were horrid! LOL.
I had a Boca Burger for dinner tonight...I like them. I think writing down everything you eat is quite enlightening...I've read a few studies of people who were successful at maintaining weight loss write down what they eat even in maintenance.
Hola Greta! I was in Puerto Rico a loooooooooooong time ago - it was 1976...I was like 10. We were living in Jamaica for a year - PR was a week's vacation - I remember being excited to be able to buy Fritos corn chips....hmmm the birth of the inner fat chick? Anyway it's nice to meet you
Harleymom - congrats on the latest pounds lost!!
2Fru - hmmm....new bike...new tires....I'll take NEW BIKE!! What fun - a shiny new bike to showcase the shiny new 2Fru! What's this about size ratings? Do you have to take some kind of physical test to qualify for a large bike? That's interesting....over here I kinda wish there was some kind of IQ test to get a MC license....a couple days ago I found myself behind a couple stunt riders. The kind on rice rockets who do handstands on their bikes as they go down the street...I was not amused. If one of them bit the dust I would have gone out with them.
Jill - Myrtle Beach sounds SO FUN!!! (Except of course the flu part) Great pics, too!
Gina--yes I am still counting calories--it's just been a bad week and I have gone from overeating when I get emotional to not being hungry.
My daughter got married July 1 at the courthouse after turning 18 June 20 against our wishes-I went but I wasn't happy--she was starting college in the fall and we wanted her to adjust to freshman year before another major life change like getting married. I liked the guy--hubby didn't (said he was shady). Not to mention he turned 26 in August making him eight years older than her--hubby is six years older but we didnt start dating when I was 16. When they first started dating I knew he was older but not as much as he actually was--he's got a baby face and he is very immature. I always thought that our daughter would eventually "outgrow" him. He treated her really good while they were dating--I found out later one of the reasons--daughter only needed one credit to graduate highshool so she only went half of a day and worked six days a week at a Subway--she had been paying his electric, phone and cable--once she started college in the fall he wanted her to quit her job because he wasn't "seeing" her enough--once he had to pay all the bills the problems started. He left her to move in with his parents in Philadelphia and she moved in with her 20 year old brother who had a roomate move out and had the spare bedroom empty. They still have their-brother-sister fights but he has been supportive of her and she actually listens to what he bluntly tells her better than if we said the same thing. Son's girlfriend and my daughter were best friends in high school--The three of them are looking for a bigger place when the girlfriends lease is up in August.
The divorce hearing was on Thursday the ex actually brought his live-in girlfriend of 5 months--he left the last week of September 05. My daughter actually says it helped to see that she must have loved him alot more than he loved her. He was the first guy she seriously dated and her first love. I hope she will not be depressed anymore and be able to move on now.
Hey Jules - at least she figured it out in less than a year....and before the kids started coming!!! to you - it must be stressful to watch your kid in pain. I'm off to the gym - then it's time to clean out the backyard that is kinda jungley....we have a couple koi ponds and I can hardly see the fish for all the overgrown plants.
Work has been keeping me busy busy busy - but that's a good thing! I've been able to get out and ride a bit, except for - of course - on the 3-day weekend when I didn't have my kids. Stupid weather. Hubby and I mostly relaxed the entire weekend, but I'm really not a good relaxer, I need to be doing something.
Chick you're right, writing down what you eat does help, as soon as I stopped, I started gaining.
Welcome Greta!
Sorry to hear about your daughter Jules. She's young, and it's a good thing she is divorcing him now, not a few years later after kids come into the picture.
Ok chicks, I must get to work, but I'll check in again when I can!
Hey all you hot biker chicks! I had a great weekend. Friday girl friends daughters graduation and great lunch with friends. Saturday worked on anniversary party stuff and went to the drive in, first time in years. Watched over the hedge, really cute and Mission Impossiable 3. Sunday church and then stayed home for the rest of the day. Monday went to mom's and grandmother's grave sites and put fresh flowers out. Dad took me to lunch afterwards. Went to friends house for cook out later. Nice weekend!
Glad to see you all posting! Love to read what is going on with you all. Welcome Greta. Oh Puerto Rico, sounds like a place I want to visit some day!
We went riding a couple of days this weekend--between the stress and TOM I am up two pounds -- Could be the less than 1000 calories days from not eating too. I am beginning to believe that not eating enough is just as bad as overeating on the scales. Daughter is so much more back to herself now that she has her closure with the divorce and even though it was hard with the ex bringing his new live in girlfriend it helped get rid of any leftover feelings she might have had. It's hard to believe just a year ago she graduated highschool!!
Jules- It's a good thing that your daughter ditched the loser before it was too late, but I bet it would have been pretty hard for her to see him with that other girl. Anyhow...good for her to move on!
Gina- Your pond sounds pretty cool. My parents have a tiny little pond.
Kathy- Enjoy your relaxation as much as possible.
HarleyMom- Sounds like your weekend was really enjoyable.
I planted a bunch of flowers this past weekend and some tomatoes. So, it was nice to be outside, which I love!
Well Chicks another .8 lbs gone. Slowly moving down the scale. It has been a crazy week. My DS and his girlfriend have decided to get married on May 24next year and have to find a location. It is just crazy what everything cost and how things get booked over a year in advance. Nuts I think I am in the wrong business! Anyhow I am here pluging along. Keep on Keep'n on Chicks!
