Hi Pag0206 - yeah about your 7 pounds last week! for health reasons my doc has been talking with me too about a vegan diet. Are you doing IP vegan?

Unhappy I'm a newbie too!

Hello everyone, I just found this site and finally got time to post something this evening. I started IP almost 2 weeks ago and haven't had my first WI yet.

This has got to be one of the hardest things I've ever done. I have always loved veggies so i thought this would be easy but it is turning out to be much worse than i had immagined. The restrictions on the veggies is making me think I will never be able to complete this much less do i want to endure.

Sorry for sounding so down but I am just having a hard time with this diet!!

First off, I am super glad you found this site and

I don't have much for advice as I am only 3 days into the program myself but have you checked the recipe section for some different ideas on what you can do with your veggies?? I am amazed at how creative some people are!

Hang in there.... I am sure once you weigh in and see how many pounds are gone, you will feel more encouraged.

I have the same problem whenever I low carb. I have to laugh, I can eat all the junk food I want and never have a problem being regular. Yet here I am eating really healthy, drinking tons of water and lots of vegetables. So what happens? Nothing. I take two Novi Lax pills at bedtime and it works like a charm.

I agree. There are some amazing recipes out there for those of us on IP. Tonight for the first time I made turnip fries and they were great. I find getting creative really helps a lot.

good morning newbies!

today is day 4 for me.... I was super nauseous this morning and actually threw up.... but after having some water I feel better. I will eat breakfast as soon as I get my oldest boy off to school.

I know most of you only weigh in weekly at a clinic or with your coach but I am doing this on my own so it is hard for me NOT to step on that darn scale.

-6 lbs in 3 days... woohooo!!

How are you feeling today??

One thing I have found that helps me is making my own broths at home, like the vietnamese pho or Japanese dashi, and drinking them for a snack. You can use the broth to steam your veg later too.
Congratulations on your Amazing Loss!! I go for my first WI tomorrow and can't wait to see the results.

Morning!
Why do you think you're nauseous? Thats not good. Maybe its from some of the vitamins?

Tresbee
I have created my own vegan plan. I researched it and put together meals with only 10g of fat. It is not only healthy but the weight is coming off too. Its amazing how many vegan products are out there. I am finding I do not miss meat or dairy but we will see how I feel during the holidays
