WELCOME!!! you are correct, you have to be in the right mind set! You will do just fine. When ever you are hungry have a pickle or eat some lettuce or even drink you some water. Hot tea usually does the trick for me

Lots of information here along with recipes and TONS of support, which we ALL need.....Welcome again!

I love love love seeing all of the other newbies on here! What a great, fun thread. Thanks so much Mom3 for starting this!

Now I understand why I was told Crystal Light was a no no. I will have to look for it w/ splenda now. I cut out drinking pop a long time ago but I sure do miss my Crystal Light! I plan on trying the turnip fries this week.

Had a HUGE NSV (non-scale victory) this past weekend. Tried on my wedding dress and it fits like a dream! I had ordered one size down w/out realizing it was over a 3 inch difference between sizes. At the rate I'm going, I'll have to have it taken in before the wedding! This week will be my third WI and I'm hoping they will take my measurements to see how much I've shrunk!

Anyone have a K-Cup coffee machine? Any clue if we can drink the flavored coffees? I'm assuming no but wasn't sure. Was having a hard time finding nutrional info.

I have a Kuerig at home, I have really cut down my coffee intake but I know you can still drink it.
My wife has it everyday and she is down over 40 pounds since we started together, so no worries there.
Just don't drink a ton of them and remember whatever you drink to add to your water intake needed.
Also on measurements, I get mine done every week, but I also keep track at home, you can get the same tape from Amazon, or at least I have the same one that we have at our clinic at home:
http://www.amazon.com/AccuFitness-MT...8966843&sr=8-2
$5.00 and you can keep track yourself, plus sometimes you can get better measurements at home, since you don't have to do it over clothes etc.

I feel you on the wedding dress thing, sort of lol. I put on my jacket I got married in 2 weeks ago and it fits. The pants were a little snug, but I figure another week or so and I could get in them just fine.
I threw out 5 bags of clothes this weekend that there is no way I will EVER wear again.
I am down a size in my t-shirts and I am down 10 inches on my jeans!!!
You cannot beat the results when you can see them in what you wear.

Thanks so much! And you are motivating the heck out of me! You and Wuv are just too awesome. What a great feeling to get rid of so many clothes! I realized last night that I don't have any dress work pants in the next size down so I need to pick up 1 pair to get me through. The size after that I've been hoarding clothes for a while so I'll be good when I hit that! ha ha

Well I won't have hit my long-term goal weight by the wedding so I plan on looking back and having my wedding dress be way too big! I so wish I would have found IP sooner but I'm going to be a much happier (and thinner) bride than I ever thought I would be!

What do you mean, IF you decide to go to 200?
You know you are going until you are done right?
Don't even wonder if, there is nothing wrong with having a shorter goal in mind, but you know in the end you are going to push on.

Just another note for noobies, because cost seems to factor into a lot of people being able to stay on this diet, here is a way to keep costs down.
I get my multivitamin from Costco, I actually get the mens formula one a day and my wife gets the female one.
I get my cal-mags from Amazon, you can get 300 for around $12 plus they are more concentrated, I only have to take 2 instead of 4 and actually get a hair more than I used to.
The potassium I cannot find cheaper with the correct quantity, but that one does last you the longest since you only need it once a day, but I am getting the rest of my pills for about a third of the price with more pills.
I think my multivitamin was $13 for 250 instead of 60 for $25.
Just a note to look into.

Hi all,

My name is Lee Ann and I live in Fairbanks, AK and just wanted to say I started IP because of this site and all the encouragement here. I hope I have the same results as all of you. I seem to be starting out a little slow though, my 1st week I only lost .4 lbs, but a loss is a loss and I'll take everyone. I'm on my 2nd week and hope my WI is much better Saturday.
