Hello all I am a newbie about to get started. I have my appointment set up for Monday the 24th and am ready to start losing 100 pounds. We do a lot of camping and horseback riding and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions for meal portability.
best advice to give you is be prepared!!! have cut up veggies handy and bring stuff camping that won't put you out, grilled burgers and veggies. Even bring can tuna with you, it would be easy to throw on lettuce. Your packets can be made with bottle water, I would bring pudding packets and make them into shakes.
Hi Everyone, I'm a newbie to IP and to being on a forum! I've been reading the posts on this site since I started IP last Wednesday so I figure I should sign up and be social
I can't wait to see the results today at the clinic, I'm feeling really 'clean' and healthy on this diet, its pretty great...

hello and
Awesome job on completing the first week.... let us know how your weigh in goes!
I agree, I also like the feeling of being clean and healthy that this lifestyle change provides (I don't like the word diet!)
I just finished my first week! Started 10/10. My first weigh in is not until this Friday, but already I feel great! Pants are already starting to feel looser. Would love to keep in touch with other starters!
I started on 10/6 so we aren't that far apart. My first WI was last Thursday and I was down 7lbs!! I feel wonderful!! It is an amazing diet. I go for my 2nd WI tomorrow.
Best of luck to you on Friday!!
Hello all... Newbie here.
Trying to do this on my own so I am excited and open to all suggestions, comments and support!
Benn a little too fat - a little too long, and ready now to do something about it.
Started today with a shake and soup for lunch and lean chicken is on the menu for dinner.
So just wanted to send a hello out to everyone!
I really hope this works!!!

hi there Desiree!!
I am also doing this on my own using alternative products to save on $$$
and, it will work... you just have to remain on plan and committed!!
Thanks for the encouragement!
It will be interesting to see our progress as we are similar in our weights and goals.
My problem is cooking for the family while I try to stay on this!
I love to cook, and eat - goes without saying that's why I'm here! lol

I hear ya! I have 3 kids (well, 4 if you count my hubby... ) so it will be tempting to eat what they are having but I will not do it!
and yes, we are very similar... I was 180 lbs on the nose this morning!

Since we have a lot of Newbies I thought I would share this recipe, its one of EVERY IP dieters favorite....
Big Mac in a bowl
5 oz Extra Lean Ground Beef
1/4 c finely chopped onion
1/4 c finely chopped dill pickles
3/4 c finely shredded iceberg lettuce
1 - 2 tbsp WF Thousand Island Dressing
1 oz Low Fat Cheddar
Directions:
Cook up extra lean ground beef, drain fat and return to pan and add seasonings of choice (I used garlic powder, onion powder, Mrs. Dash, salt & pepper). Remove beef from heat & mix in WF Thousand Island Dressing, pickles & onion Spread lettuce on plate, add beef mixture on top, sprinkle with cheese.

Find something else to drink like Hot tea or MIO in your water. Water will be your new best friend. I will see if I can find the article I posted as to why we cant have diet sodas and you won't want to drink it any longer
