Day #17----34 mins. of Cardio/interval training for me.

cathy if you DIDN'T get out of bed this morning and exercise, I would have come down there and dragged you myself........(although you are a bit far to go before work).

However, LEENIE is MIA from here and she's NOT too far from me.......depends on the traffic.

Day #18.....32 mins. of cardio/push-ups(ihatethem)/wts. sets. along with a heavy dose of morning caffiene to boost me out of lethargy.

My reward? NOT gaining and I've lost INCHES....it's not a big victory, but there is less of stuffed look....I'm aiming to be consistent in the exercise quest. The only thing standing between me and Nirvana is my laziness......

Thumbs up

ooooooooooohhhhhh i'm here today

I just finished 3 miles. I used Leslie Sansone's 5 mile dvd and did 1 fast 12 minute mile, then an even faster 10 minute mile with some jogging (yes I did it) and then the 14 minute mile with 3 lb handweights in each hand the whole time. She mainly uses them during the 2nd half of that mile but I don't feel like I'm doing much so I use them the whole time - and make the workout my own.

I'm up to 24 miles so far this month

Saturday---did 30 mins. of wts. cardio
sunday--took off
Monday--38 mins. of interval training, cardio and heavier wts.

I've done 20 (count 'em 20!) workouts this month. I can see an improvement in that stubborn mid-section, but it's a major problem....I NEVER had a thick waist before, it's a challenge.

I got in my new Leslie Sansone Walk Slim dvds and I can't wait to get started on them.

But I had to CLEAN house today. I just finished - took me 6 1/2 hours. So that is all the exercise I can do for today.

Marbles - you are doing GREAT!!!!!!!

Monday, workout #24---54 mins of cardio and wts. (pant, pant). I'm going to try for 3.5 hours this week....

this is my 5th week of commited exercise....I've made some progress since the beginning of the month, but the results are NOT instantaneous. I'm trying to look at the "big picture" and be realistic. I'm not going get firm and toned tight for another 6-8 weeks and need to get in more than 4 hours a week.

But there is definitely less jiggle, less mid-section and I'm getting much stronger, can lift heavier wts. and have more cardio stamina. so i'm satisfied with the progress and still feel motivated!
