First there was the cable that went out, losing my wallet (did I mention that), and then the bug infested flowers. Now I'm in the middle of this big blow up at work.
I work for a Tier-1 auto supplier. We have regular weekly meetings with Ford and General Motors. Usually it's our engineers and sales guys meeting with their engineers and buyers. Well, anyway, the CEO is very adamant about making each customer feel welcomed. So we really go out of our way. OK, great policy! I'm completely on board with that.
We have this welcome board in our lobby. When one of our customers comes, we put that company's name on the board. Usually Ford comes on the same two days every week and General Motors comes on another day. Occasionally there are meetings with other customers. I have to make sure that the right companies are up on the right days.
Today is normally a Ford day. But someone from GM also showed up. GM had rescheduled their meeting for today. So that means Ford and GM should have been posted. That sort of thing is a HUGE deal here. The guy from GM kept looking at the board with this weird look on his face. GM and Ford absolutely hate each other. So this GM guy is looking at Ford on the board and not GM. He's used to seeing GM when he comes.
I mentioned to my boss that no one had told me that there was going to be a GM meeting today and that I was going to email the engineer and salesman that should have told me. She blew up! She got mad about one customer being so picky about another. And people coming to her about the customers' expectations. O-kay... I just said, it was fine and I'd handle it.
Then, wouldn't you know it, the head engineer comes running to me asking me why General Motors wasn't on the board. The person from GM was offended to see Ford on the board, but not GM. Blah, blah, blah... I told him that I didn't know, because no one had told me the meeting day had been switched. One of his engineers neglected to tell me. Then he just looked at me like I was crazy and asked me how I could not know. I told him that my ESP was broken today. He just got red in the face and left. I guess to yell at the engineer who forgot to tell me. It was a near funny moment because the head engineer reminds me of Fraiser from the television show. He doesn't look like Kelsey Grammar, but he has all the same mannerisms and his speech pattern is very similar to Fraiser's.
Thanks Aqua. I appeciate that. I'm beginning to think everyone around is nuts. Wow, does that mean I'm nuts?! lol
I just noticed that you lost 10 pounds. Way to go!! I'm proud of you. You're a much better person than I am. When I lose just 5 pounds I shout it from the rooftops. Congratulations!

Danielle...I know I dont even have to answer you but yes I love biggest loser!! I would apply to the show but I think by the time they start again I'll be well on my way to a thinner healthier me! Oh Danielle, I cannot believe your neighbors, you shoulda went out on that balcony and put him in his place. Not that it does any good and it wouldnt accomplish anything but good ****! Enough is enough already you guys need to get the **** out of there. The guy just doesnt get it and he's not gonna change if he feels he has already. I dont get how people can be that inconsiderate!
Anna...I'm with you...laundry is my plan for the day! Maybe mow the lawn too, except itll only be my girls that I'm waking up! LOL!
Amanda.... I had to giggle about your sexy undies speeding up the baby making process! LOL! What great fun you have to look forward to with your fit healthy body! My girls are 7 and 11 and no the girls arent upset about the fish, we've been expecting him to die for some time now, he was old! There are some New York type personalities already on this season of Flavor of Love, and he's bringing someone in to help him too but they havent shown who, I'm gonna die if its her! LOL!! Hearing your story, I am NOT looking forward to going back to work, I just hate the office politics. Sounds to me like you handle yourself like a champ though, I'd probably be crying! LOL! I hope the stress settles soon, if not..the weekend is almost here!
Elycia...Lost is one of my alltime favorite shows!! I cannot wait for it to start up again! They have the best season cliffhangers dont they!!! No repeaters on Celebrity Fit club, and they only showed the introduction episode so far so you've not missed much. Looks like things may be a little calmer this season with a few blowups.
Brat...oh you are a brave girl! I dunno if I could leave America. I've never had a desire to even visit another country. Then again I live in Montana where people are more laid back and we do care about our neighbors and enjoying life. Of course there are those uptights here too, but I've lived in Phoenix so I know what you are talking about. We went to Orlando for vacation this summer and the people drove me insane! I dont think I'll ever leave montana again! LOL! Good luck with studying!!

Well, not much planned for me today, just hanging out taking care of house stuff which never ends. Gotta have the fish funeral this afternoon and I'd like to get out for a little walk, we'll see. We had a storm yesterday and it sparked up many new fires and if the air quality is really poor I cant be out there walking in it. So far it looks good so keep your fingers crossed.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with my weigh in. You gotta remember though, it's a liquid diet, so in a way I think it's fudging. (Although it is not easy) Eventually I'm going to have to maintain a diet for a lifestyle change. That might be really hard. The hunger problems have faded some, but what will happen when I do eat? I guess what I'm saying is I'm trying to take it in super stride. I'm afraid if I get to excited, it won't be long afterward that I really screw up and raid a box of oreo's or something.

Kenya, you had problems finding the post? I had hoped that it wouldn't be a problem when they moved us. We lost a few and I was wondering if it was because of the move. I hope that you are having a great day and glad that you were able to find us.
Amanda, you know that I had to check. I couldn't find anything indicating that Lost is on hiatus, not that it would come as a surprise. The new season starts on Oct 4th. They always leave us hanging with reruns and the like. Oh well, even still I love the show. Danielle and Melissa, we will have to talk about our thoughts on the show as it goes on. This is one show that always keeps me guessing. As soon as I think I have it figured out, it throws a new loop. I love it!

I haven't seen this season's Flavor of Love either, but I hear it's pretty racy this season. Last year, the real ditzy girl with the big boobs drove me nuts, I was so embarrassed for her. lol Real World nowadays isnt anything like it used to be, alot of what happens now is quite boring actually. But I am a junkie so I watch anyways!
Elycia, yes I'm definitely loving Lost. When it first aired I tried to watch it and could never get thru a whole episode so gave up. Then 2nd season and dh and I tried watching but because so much happened 1st season we hadn't a clue what was going on, so we quit watching. We just bought the dvd last week and are right in the middle of the season. We have had to force ourselves to turn the tube off and go to bed because both of us want to keep on watching! I really like it alot. Season 2 comes out next month on dvd so will give us a chance to be all caught up right before the new season starts. Yeah!
Anna, loved your lawnmower story! Along the lines of my vacuuming the ceilings, you're my kinda girl, love your thinking! Next time tho I WILL be doing it at 6 am if they wake me again. Never can have too clean a ceiling, right? What angers me the most is he's got the audacity to even say out loud that MY KIDS ARE LOUD???? When, cause I'd really like to know? We have always been very conscious of noise and the kids yelling,etc. its one of the main reasons why we've remained on a bottom floor, I refuse to inconvenience the person living below us with their heavy walking or their wrestling moments, or my kids and make them feel like they can't be themselves. Makes me so mad!
Melissa, yeah I know we need out, trust me I am saying it almost every waking moment!! Short of just leaving, I guess our only other option would maybe be mediation? Hire someone to come referee us in a room somewhere. They better tie me down cause after what I heard last night I'd love nothing more than to rip that boys lips right off his face. I am absolutely offended by everything he's telling people and what he talks himself into believing. Brat- you are so lucky to be heading to Australia! I have wanted to go there my entire life, I think if I went I wouldn't want to come home either. I think if living somewhere else is what you want then you should do it, you're young and have your whole life before you, I say go for it!!!

Cannot believe the weightloss that's happening here already! Look at us go! Will be fun to see how much at the end of the month. Hopefully I will be a contributer to that total.
Ugh! I got a complaint...(yes, again, I know! )...why is it at every single dr's office they gotta use chairs in the waiting area that have the armrests on the sides???!!! Like I need to accentuate the fact before a room full of people that my butt is big!!! One time while taking my son to the orthodontist, same chairs there but alot smaller so I was packed in the seat pretty tight, they called us to go back, and as I stood up the chair started to come with me! I was mortified. Thank goodness there was no one in there to see, or I think I'd have run out of there crying my eyeballs out! Luckily today I didn't "stick" in the seat, I've mastered the "tilt sideways and slide" move. Just angers me, not to mention makes me feel embarrassed!
Okay, I'm off to make banana bread and pumpkin bread then I'm gonna hurry and mow the lawn before it rains again but I had to come check on everyone..see how you are doing!

Elycia actually you can make my pounds loss 6 since I met you and this group as I joined in late July. that might bring us closer to 60 That is so neat to see it laid out like that. THis group has come along amazingly. So glad you started all this. YOu Rock.
ooo and I lost the 2 pound fair weight so I am at 274, not happy about that number but will bring it down again next week
Danielle yes I think 6am vacuum job on the ceiling is a must unless it disturbs your family, never too much to get those pesty dust bunnies. I do have to say our docs office put some chairs in with arms anbd without but i do know that feeling of bringing up the chair with you. case in point those stupid plastic lawn chair that are one size fit most. so i pay extra for the one size fits all
Amanda, Good luck with the computer change. I have to admit when i screw my computer up my SO is a computer tech so i pout and he fixes i don't ask how as he knows what to do. I am no help when it comes to this machine.
Aqua, WTG girl , the transition maybe a little hard but like you said it is worth it and glad the cravings are a bit less now. 10 pounds is awesome.
Melissa sory to hear about the fires there. I think the last one in my area was a city boy who tried to burn the grass around his fire ring and lost a couple acres in the process. I felt bad for him because he was actually trying to do something good but wow it kind of back fired. that was a couple of counties away also. Love wisconsin, the only bad part is some of the winter months and i just get to hunker down and cross stitch more.
Amanda was reading about your work day, oh man hope your feeling better now tyaht the day is over and hopefully that engineer will learn from today. I didn't realize thet animosity between car people was that great. referring to when they seen anothers nameon the board.
okay trying to get some more sleep for tonight, Was informed that our facility was picked this week for state inspection so it will be a little stressful when I get back. shoot couldn't they have come like last wednesday when I was on vacation? Ah well. Have a great night ladies.

I'm glad you guys liked my chair rant! I'm so serious though, if anyone gets discriminated against it's the overweight! It's all a conspiracy I tell you, first it's the food chains making everything humungous, hence making us all fat, then all these places like restuarants, airplanes, theaters, offices, all get us with their too small seats and tables, which in turn leads everyone looking for the quick fix in the next miracle diet pill or bar. And on and on the cycle goes....And I'll tell ya, I despise getting stuck in a tiny booth when I'm out to eat! Of course it always happens when it's crazy crowded and I gotta shimmy in, in front of a bunch of people no less. :grumble grumble grumble....:
My other issue is maternity clothes. Hello, why is there not maternity clothes for fat people? And I mean real maternity clothes with the extra for the belly, not just some moo-moo that they try and pass off as maternity when really it's just fat-girl wear??? Do we not count??? At least have it easily accessible without having to order it from another country for gosh sakes!!! I mean, c'mon, you can't tell me someone hasn't thought of it by now? When I think of my ginormous men's t-shirts and ultra elastic shorts I was relegated to wearing while preggers! But I digress..........
