Hello girls
Tammy I am surprised they let you give blood because around here if dieting of any sort they do not let you give until you are on a normal eating habit- hope that you are feeling up to par today

Holly glad you got your breaks done and a ride in that nice weather - geez wish we would get rid of our cold and rainy days here maybe tomorrow....
Great job resisting the ice cream today - you go girl

Well tomorrow and Wednesday I will be on a normal 7-4 shift thanks goodness then Thursday back to 3am - dang it but going to do manager interviews next week got quite a few good applicatons so at least I will hopefully have a decision to make ......

Well girls getting off here getting tired and think I want to go to bed by 9 tonight
Have a Great Tuesday

You know, I was surprised too....... but I told them before hand about the diet and they said as long as I ate an apple I would be fine. I won't do that again though! Lol.

CC, maybe you will get a good manager and won't have to do this much longer. I know it can be hard. And your donation and commitment to the motorcycle clubs is very admirable! And 1 pound is better than gaining! You are on the ball!

Holly, I am glad you got your brakes and got to ride. I don't know if I could have resisted the soft serve. Lol. Well, you know, that is not really true. Since I am doing this "eating clean" it is not really a temptation...... but if I ever take the first bite--- sister I am GONE into a full carb free for all-- then coma. Lol.

Colleen, we need some humor.

I am going to get busy. I am hoping to get to ride tomorrow.

Tammy

Oh ya ice cream I am not to sure I would be able to pass up ice cream either

Well girls not much else going on around here so I guess I could get off here and snuggle up on the couch with a blanket

oh hey I can post! I tried to before but couldn't.

well we got a foot of snow yesterday into today!!

But the sun came out about 4 this afternoon, and some melting has started already, its already off the tree limbs. But so sucky to see!! and just Monday I was telling you I was riding, and sitting in the sun sweating! crazy.

Because of the snow coming down yesterday, I just stayed in and cleaned up the kitchen and made meatloaf for dinner. Today my 'little chore' was taking care of a full laundry basket that's been in the hall for at least 6 months. It had mostly socks but a couple shirts, some underwear (both male and female). I matched up most of the socks and bravely threw out the unmatched ones.

Do we all go through times of just not 'clicking' with our spouses? When it seems like neither says what the other wants to hear. I guess if it goes on for a long time that's when you know you have problems. Usually we're back 'in sync' after a few days at the most. Will let you know how it goes

well today I did 30 Day Shred level 3, had to run it through this laptop because our DVD player isn't working. Then because the sun was out, I walked for 20 minutes. But I"m still not able to cut my calories significantly. I'll keep plugging along.

Holly Holy Cow that is ridiculous snow amounts but like you said sun is out and it is already melting but I am sure they had to put sand/salt on the roads again???
Yes you 2 will be back in sync in no time, after what 30 years of marriage you have to be entitled to have off days with each other once in a while as long as it is not ALL the time Thats how I look at it when me and DH are having an off day or two with each other with our dating years it has been 25 years together and sometimes he just gets on my nerves dang it

WOW I just can't get past the snow - well we went down to river cabin tonight for a bit and got all the water and electric hooked up and running then we found we have a leak inbetween the bathroom and outside wall but DH thinks he found it and that it will be a simple fix just a couple hours of labor, tomorrow project if it is raining like forecast states otherwise we have a supper ride tomorrow if it is not raining

So I am still on my 30-60 minutes a day walking usually on treadmil though
Blew it today had a chocolate chip cookie then we breaded and fried up our mushrooms we hunted last night and boy were they good

Well tomorrow is early day so I better get off here and head to bed have a great Thirsty Thursday

Holly, Darn the snow. It is shocking to see! I hope this is the last one. It is almost MAY.... doesn't it know it is not welcome?
I have not been married for 30 years, but DH and I don't sync sometimes. Last night was one of them. Briefly, he does not have kids of his own..... so he does not really understand, but he thinks DS should pay for his own ticket home to see us before he leaves the country. EVERY unit that has deployed in our area did fund raisers so the soldiers would not have to pay out of pocket, well since there is only 21 people leaving they did not think it was necessary. DH thinks if he (DS) would handle his money better this would not be an issue.... but that is not the point. Anyway..... needless to say, we are NOT in sync. Holly, I agree with CC.... after 30 years you have the right to not sync every now and then.

CC, you are doing great. One cookie and fried mushrooms is not too bad. I have been off the wagon for 2 days and today I started out with a double shot mocha.... so it is not going to get any better. Lol. I know what to do and how I feel when I do it, it is just doing it though.

Colleen, HI!

I hope you all have a great day. Holly.... don't work too hard-- and laundry sux (JMO)!

Default I'm bad. Really bad!

You guys talk about falling off the wagon for a meal, a day, or even a week. I've lost the whole wagon, and it can't be found! There's no way to get "back on" once you eat the wheels off it I bet! That seems to be the current problem. I eat, feel guilty, eat some more, give up, and have some dessert too!

I've packed on most of the pounds lost. DH has been giving me greif about not using the elliptical, and has started hanging his clothes on it! Good grief...why can't MEN seem to have these binges? and moments (okay weeks) of pure flippin' hunger!?

There is no snow here. Lots of wind though! Must have blown the snow away!

We have cement poured for a garden shed, and people lined up to put us in a blacktop driveway to the second garage.

Today I had lunch with the ol' Jamacian neighbor gal--She's such a hoot! A real trouble maker, and "gets around" in all ways possible. I'm not easily embarrased--good thing! Wow! We used to go out before Tim and I got married. I put an end to it when strange guys were coming to MY house. She didn't want them waking up her husband, so she would try to inercept them before they got to my door and I told them where she really lived next door! Stinker!

I've kept up on reading the posts. You are all doing so good. I hate to bog you down with my nasty news of weight gain, food and every day drearyness. There really hasn't been lots of news to share.

My Dad is coming up from Texas in May. That will be nice. He says he's coming up for DD's graduation from college. There is no party or anything for him to come up for--she's not even going to the graduation ceremony! Guess we will go for supper. My brothers daughter is also graduating from graduate school--maybe she's having some shin-dig for him to go to.??

We never got to go on the ride that was planned for the weekend last week. It got rained out. Not sure what this weekend will bring. So far, just helping DD on her kitchen project on Saturday. I don't think she will be ready for trim and such that DH was going to work on, but we'll see.

DS got a nice promotion last week to supervisor, and got it taken back away again this week because a kid with more seniority forgot to apply! They gave the other kid the job! It was $6000 increase in pay per year! That's a lot to be ticked about! I feel bad for DS! DS said the other kid deserved the job, but it wasn't DS's fault he forgot to apply! Pretty dirty huh!?

I think I've got you pretty well caught up to speed on what I've been up to.

Have a happy day!

good evening chicks!

Tammy, I hear ya about the slight rift about the ticket $...it was so atrocious when i read that National Guards people had to pay for their own flights to visit home...so of course a mom would want to cover that. And I am sure you will get right back to your groove

Reda, glad the problem at the river cabin is not too bad. And I hope you got your supper ride in.

oh and DH and I are back to being in sync, I think

Hi Colleen!! I love to hear what you write You will be ready to get back on that wagon (go ahead and buy a new one, lol!!) It was a hoot hearing about your Jamaican neighbor gal, LOL!!!

so today I gathered two big boxes of books, and some more stuff (crocheted afghan in the MOST HIDEOUS colors ever, some sheets I never use, a Jurassic Park sleeping bag, for example) and took them to the Re-Use center, was just charged $1 for getting the dang things out of the house. Yay! And got rid of a box that has been in the hall for...I'm ashamed to say...years. All it had in it was books, it just took me to say 'for cryin out loud, do something about that!'

Tried to make pizza for our dinner tonight. Would you think the 'experienced' kitchen person would have fresh yeast? Apparently not! So we had yummy toppings on top of a crackery-crunchy crust thing the boys assured me it was great but it sure was not a nice soft yeasty crust, hahaha!

today I did the Fat Burning for Dummies tape (35 or 40 minutes) this morning, and after dinner a 50 minute walk. Alot of the snow has melted!

Default early morning

DH was up early this morning and took the bike for an hour ride before the rain and wind came. It was just too early for me to crawl out of bed before work! I caught a ride with him to work (in the truck). He will pick me up after work and head to Menard's for ordering siding for the shed and garage. While I'm there, maybe I can buy a new wagon to climb on!! I like going to home stores and do that kind of stuff, or I'd have DH go without me today to keep him out of trouble!

Holly, I'm sure your pizza was great! Lots of people prefer the thin crust. With yummy toppings, I'm bet it was a hit!

Have a great weekend gals!

good evening chicks 8) Colleen, I don't know if I could have crawled out of bed extra early to have a ride before work but I'm glad your DH did before the rain.

We had a super nice day here today, but I was involved in vacuuming a horrible area (more bookshelves); gathering un-used books and boxing them to go to Re-Use Center; and somehow, I ended up with the task of getting DH's bike to be inspected, tires, brakes (because 'i have off all day' I guess) Anyway, I got older son to ride DH's bike to shop, because I am just not comfortable riding it.

So we had to do the back and forth thing (taking it there then bringing it back in afternoon) to the tune of almost 90 miles today! but in between I did get those boxes out of the house, did laundry and hung some up so it would smell good, vacuumed living room (it's a tiny living room , takes 3 minutes, lol) and feel good about being on top of a few things in my life (for once!)

todays exercise was Gilad strength tapes; Hips Thighs Buns; Arms and Shoulders; and Abs. About 45 minutes of those; then after dinner, 45 minute walk (3 miles) So I'm consistantly walking a 15 minute mile, is that ok??

Colleen, Tammy, Reda, have a great Friday night!

First - tornadoes in Arkansas??? Should we be worried that we haven't heard from Tammy in a day?
I wasn't checking news yesterday and just saw the regions of storms now...

good morning chicks Yesterday was another pretty good day for me 8) DH did the first couple pulls on the lawn mower for me, and it roared into life. So got the grass cut for the first time this year, and that is one of my fave fragrances, the smell of fresh cut grass. Truly only half of it needed cutting (guess the other half was stunted by the foot of snow!)

DH had to do some time-sensitive things on the computer (the business he works for has weekend sales) so unfortunatley that was most of the time the sun was shining, but we took a quick ride into town later. It feel SO GREAT to not have to wear chaps, or double sweaters or the gauntlet gloves.

So I go back to work this Wednesday The Club doesn't actually open until the following Wednesday but there is opening-the-kitchen stuff to do. My chef boss asked if I had some 'good stories' from the winter job, and I said 'oh....YES'

I think we will rest easier when we hear from Tammy!

wow Reda you are BUSY!!! sounds like fun times!

btw, I knew I'd been down at least one pound, but you know how it is...is that one pound down a 'real' loss and you wait a couple days cause you don't want to change your ticker and then have to push it back up again!

WELL I was down to 154, then 153, and today is showed 152 but I think will just move the ticker down to 154 because that's gotta be for real by now

Good morning chicks, it never got below 70 last night, that is hot for us! The air is very heavy and oppressive and it looks like it might rain any minute. Thats okay, I should focus on indoor stuff again. Have the linen closet to tackle today, and more old unused toys/stuff to take to Re-Use center.

HOpe to hear from you ladies
