Reda before I forget, we have the Piggyback Trailer and it is great! http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...26tbs%3Disch:1

Sorry you've had stormy weather Colleen. Hope you get to ride, and yes I also have faith that you can handle your DH's bike! And you are so funny, getting amusement out of the bickering

Dayum Reda, I didn't know you have ridden your DH's Boss Hoss! You are woman! Oh and so sorry to hear of his new bike falling over that was a shame.

Hi Tammy and because we know your son's deployment time is coming up.

Yesterday I did the Keli Roberts step aerobics tape with the 8" step and held light hand weights. And did some yard work. There are so many stones in the yard from the snowblower. Have to rake them out, but that also gets the crummy-looking grass raked so that's two jobs in one.

Hope everyone has a good day
  • Scale playing tricks on me
It can't possibly be right that I have GAINED so much back! I'm not switching my tracker! I lost that weight fair and square! It's just got to get lost again! DH is going to show me up! I don't want that to happen!

We have a trailer for hauling 3 cycles. Doesn't work very well for the big bikes. Would be better for dirt bikes! One of the other trailers might be handy though!

Reda--you are gutsy! The Boss Hoss is a heavy bike! I've seen a Boss Hog in person and just fell in love! It was so awesome! It would be like driving a 2 wheeled truck!

Tammy, tough times for you. Be sure to do something special with your son before he leaves for training. Even if it's a card for when he gets there, or supper before. You know you raised him well...he'll be fine! (and so will you!) Lot's easier saying that from here though!

Nothing much new to tell you all about. Just checking in. Seems like it should be Friday...wishing again.
  • Thanks ladies for the kind words. I saw a shirt yesterday that I MUST have. It said, "Don't mess with me, I raised a soldier and I sleep with a biker".
Things like that make me feel a little better.

We had his going away dinner at the Japanese place last weekend, but I will be at his ceremony April 13.

I am managing, but between being sick and that, I have not been sleeping without assistance. So, I am working on that right now.

I do believe in my heart he is going to be fine.

Colleen, hang in there! Don't give up. And, I bet you can hold your DH bike up.

CC, I don't know that me being a "big girl" I could hold up the Boss Hoss! You go girl!

Holly, I am sooo glad you are in the last few days of that dreadful job! Woo Hoo.

Well, I am going to get busy. I will gab a little more later. Please forgive me if I forget to address something you all have said....... mind is not in the best spot right now.
  • Good Afternoon Girls

I will have to look up that website Holly - I am sure we are going to need a trailer to pull behind the bike
You know a Boss Hoss is heavy but really it is so much more balanced than a smaller bike- I was so freaking out the first time I rode one about 4 years ago but it wasn't bad at all - newer ones have reverse so no worry about backing it up with foot power.
Colleen you will be able to do it with ease - you will probably even like riding it better

Tammy that shirt would be so perfect for you were you able to find out where the person got it from? Hope so

Well girls going to take a nap it is Thirsty Thursday and we go out for wings and beers well I will have vodka/lemonade

    Have a great night
  • TGIF! Woo-hoo!
DH is taking me to lunch today, then only a few more hours left of work! It's beautiful out--leaving for lunch on the bike!

Tammy, I too like the shirt! Sounds like a fun one to wear! Sorry your still not feeling well.

Tomorrow we are planning on supporting a breast cancer fundraiser. DH is bowling for the cause. I don't bowl--the last time I did--I broke my arm! Seriously, it's a dangerous sport! After that we are going to a steak dinner to fund the fire department in our town. We have been collecting stuff and donating to a sale for the March of Dimes. There are so many worthy causes! All good...just so many! Wonder if anyone would want to donate to me...A good cause..." 'cause I need it!" Ha. Just kidding.

I'm still liking the Hyundia. Cleaned up the Buick for the kids to use. Hasn't looked that good in ages!

Yesterdays stupidity is todays lesson: Never empty an aquarium of water into your sink. At least not the side that has the garbage disposal in it! I did, and got gravel in the disposal (yes, I was being careful, but wanted ALL the water to drain out!). I shoved my hand (that doesn't fit!) in about 100 times to get all of the gravel out. Turned on the disposal, ruined it, and still had to go after more gravel to see if I could make it work again. I used soap on my hands, water, butter...anything to get my hand in easier! What I ended up with is 2 very sore, bruised hands, 1 garbage disposal that runs, but sounds horrible, an empty aquarium, and 2 hours lost time from messing with it! Learn from my mistake! I had a 2 gallon tank I was thinking I was going to use for my 2 angel fish to have babies. That didn't work. They were going nuts. Too small. The male was swimming around so fast, splashing water and bouncing off the sides--he was going to hurt himself!

    Have a good weekend all!
  • Happy Saturday Girls

Well DH is pissing me off today- it is nice and all he is doing is sitting in the chair- many things to get done and taking a ride would be nice......

Colleen you have a ton of stuff going on right now for fundraising but it does always feel good to do your part

How in the world did you break your arm bowling???

Well DS started racing last night and he WON got 1st in both his heat and feature We were so excited

Well he races again tonight but I have to bowl first so I will miss his heat but I will make it for the feature and hopefully he can pull off another win

I will check back in later
  • good evening chicks!

Tammy...we are here for you Many hugs to you. We also know he will be fine, but what an anxious time for you. That T-shirt sounds great with the addition of ...'and I'm a biker too!'

Colleen - OMgosh about the garbage disposal ... well you tried your best, but your poor hands! Nice of you guys to have your excess stuff donated, and your DH bowling for a cause.

Reda - I have had that happen too and it pisses me also!! Hope you enjoyed the nice weather somehow, maybe by yourself. Congrats to your son for his wins!

I am feeling so ick about my body. I've seen some pics lately that I remember thinking, as I was getting ready, that thought I was looking good, then I saw the pics and now I'm all

But I"ve still been working out, either Gilad stuff, or the step aerobics with the 8" step, and walking outside. This morning I did 1.4 miles; then after getting home almost 2 miles. I didn't think the 25 minutes this morning was enough, that's why i forced myself to do another stint tonight.

well as you know my countdown is coming, coming! woo hoo. Have a good Saturday night, I am here on the couch with comfy clothes and the laptop and the TV, good stuff
  • good morning, woke with a slightly scratchy throat...hope it goes away!!

all of yesterday morning's snow melted by noon thank goodness. but today is grey, 40, drippy, bleh.

I just finished doing 30 Day Shred level 3. Man that makes me sweat!

have a great Sunday, I have to get ready for work
  • Morning ladies....

I am having a hard time--- but I am alive. I am eating my feelings. Not a good thing..... but the carbs sure taste good.

Holly, I am glad you are done with that job (well will be in the next day or so). This will be my last post until my son goes.

Colleen, I am sorry about your garbage disposal..... but you sure have a funny way of putting things! Lol.

CC, count me in on the DH club pissing me off. It seems like he wants to go- go- go...... until I want to (like on a pretty day) then he wants to sit, sit, sit. Go figure! I think it is in their blood. Lol. Good job on your DS victory. I did not even realize racing season was here already.

Tomorrow is his ceremony and Wednesday at 8am is when the bus leaves.

We took a 300 mile ride yesterday and there is something wrong with my bike. DH is thinking I have a broken motor mount. How in pete's name that happened I have no clue! It has NEVER been laid over (well it was on the trailer), but not going down the road. This will be the 2nd major problem with the bike. I am going to give the dealer the what for about it too. I can't have it looked at until later in the week since I am going to Little Rock for the send off tomorrow.

I am going to make this short. I am a little scatter brained today.... more than a blonde normally is. I will gab at you either Wednesday or Thursday.

Holly, enjoy your last days at that crappy place..... and take a breather!
  • Oh boy, I'm a Harley rider!
First, When DH picked me up for lunch on Friday, the bike was falling over as DH got on. (I was on already). He instructed (more like yelled) for me to get off the bike. I was stuck in the back, so kind of did a tuck-&-roll off, and layed out in the street, in front of work, laughing my fool head off! I fianally got up and helped DH push the bike back up. It never fell, it just tipped beyond what he could manage to straighten from the seat. All was good in the end...just a chiropractor visit to put me back together again.

I did ride the Harley on my own! I did it! I didn't dump it or anything! It was fun! I didn't go far, but at least now I know I CAN do it!

Aside form all of them mentioned charities, we also got hit up for Hunger relief sponsorship! I like the local carities more so than the "big" ones. We will go to a cancer benefit for a friend soon. With those, you know right where the $ is going.

Hugs to you and your family Tammy. Too bad about your bike too. Hope you get it all figured out.

Reda, I hear you on the DH's doing as they please! It was a good weekend for us though this weekend. Got some landscaping done (thought I was going to have a heart attack--working), and one of the garages cleaned up. Careful bowling! For me, it was the first ball, slipped, down I went, and CRACK went the arm! I did try bowling a few more frames, but my arm swelled fast and hurt lots. I waited for the rest of them to finish then went to the clinic for a cast.

Holly, Happy days are 'bout here for you! Winter job will be over~! Enjoy! Sounds like you have been doing awesome with the excercise! You are very motivated! Send some my way!

Last night I found myself watching TV all night long! How productive is that?! My kitchen floor could have used a little attention! Shame on me for ignoring the work and chilling on the sofa! My only accomplishment is selling the appliances that we are replacing. Had a buyer come to look at them. Soon as the new refrigerator comes in, the others will all go. Had someone else that I was going to give them to, but they seem to not be able to get back to me on for sure if they want them. Gave up. Sold them for $250! Gave them 3 weeks. $ in the pocket!

    Happy day!
  • Good morning! Hello to Colleen (tucking and rolling onto the street, you go girl ) Reda, and Tammy we are especially thinking of you and your son today. Come back when you can
  • Sorry girls been missing lately but just because I have been extremely busy

Tammy I know this is a super hard time for you and it would be so sending you some I know you are very sad but also very proud of your son as all of us. Sorry to hear about your bike having to go back to shop hopefully nothing major and if it is hope the warranty is still in effect

Well Saturday I went bowling and bowled great for me one of my games was my highest ever 181 then I took off and headed to races and
Karl (DS) won his heat and feature again Saturday so he is 4 for 4 races right now and it was over a 1000.00 in the bank which with a race car doesn't take much to be gone- Oh we may not be going on Flood Run now because DS informed he was doing a memorial wrap on his car (wrap would be like the paint job) of my DH's race car 10 years ago so having it done just like DH's was painted and then DH's father passed away 10 years ago as well so DS is having alot on there about that as well- so with that being a surprise to DH I am thinking of acting sick and telling him we can't go then on Saturday feeling better to go to races........ We were looking forward to the ride but this is also going to be a huge deal and DH doesn't know anything about it so I have a decision to make ..... It is driving me crazy but a ride will also be around and a debut on DS's memorial car will only be this once

So Sunday DH wanted to ride so we rode and actually we left at 11am and didn't get home till 8pm it was a great day -then we noticed that I had a little leak under my bike so off to the shop it went tonight - Monday night well I guess last night we rode again but just for a bit DH wanted to test out his hiway pegs we bought on Sunday

Colleen so sorry to hear about motorcycle tipping but one thing about having a full dress is those engine guards sure do save the bike but hey at least you can roll and laugh about it

Holly glad to see you are still keeping up with your exercise and hope nothing more came of your sore throat than a little scratchy???

Well today we hit 80 degree for April but the wind was blowing like 50+ mph so no riding but didn't matter because we hauled it to the shop to get new seals so hopefully he will get it done tonight so that I can go get it in the next couple of days....

Well girls I am going to get off here I will check back in tomorrow hopefully but we do have our Rider Meeting tomorrow night so I may not get time

Tammy I know Wednesday is going to be really hard on you and I hope DH is going to be with you to give you some support again sending you some
  • He is gone. I am home. I am very drained. I posted some pic on my fb.
I am going to take a nap..... maybe for the rest of the day.
His bus had a wreck and they are on the side of the road right now. No one was hurt. The door was ripped off. They are all laughing and cutting up saying they can fix it with duct tape.

    I will type more later.

Thank you all so much for YOUR support.

    Tammy
  • Tammy, and at the bus wreck!! not what you needed to hear. I'm sure you WERE drained, extra sleep will do you good dear. Looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow

Reda - what a nice thing, that memorial wrap! I hope it can be kept secret until the unveiling. Oh and thanks, my scratchy throat went away. I do need to SOMEDAY go to the dentist for some stuff, I'm just putting that off, as we all love dentists

Hi Colleen how are the baby angel fishes?

I had a very good Day 1 of my almost 3 weeks off! Early I had an appt. for car oil change and snow tires off. Then back here, and I did yard work (sawing down little trees with a bow saw, clipping back stupid invasive bushes and vines, raking, picking up winter crap) then washed DH and my bike; vacuumed in living room so I could work out without being disgusted, and didn't eat too much!!

actually I should EASILY lose a pound or two right away, being away from the sugary carby crap at work I couldn't resist.

Have not done the jogging but have been walking, at maybe a pace of 1 mile in 15 minutes? that's 4 mph, that's relatively OK isnt' it? (desperately asking, lol) I am aware of it being an effort, I am not strolling, and even if it's chilly i have a sheen of sweat on face and under clothes. My farthest was yesterday, I did 3.2 miles.
  • good morning chicks

I was up early, worked out, and eager to get to the Goodwill store (which is 50 miles one way and a major expedition for me) and was out the door at 9:30 am, and got not even 25 feet out of my driveway when I heard/felt that 'fwap fwap fwap' of a flat tire

thankfully a little side road was just down the road a bit so I pulled over and put a note on my windshield. Walked back home (there's already 1/8 mile to put on my walking log, LOL) and called AAA from home because there's no cell service in our town but thank goodness AAA does change tires for you!! I know I should know how to do it...someday. ANyway now I'm waiting for them to call to tell me someone is dispatched then it takes me just 3 minutes or so to walk back to car. And hopefully be on my way.

I just got these tires put on yesterday (they're not new, they're the tires that came on the car when we bought it last year, and they are kinda worn) and the guy said he checked the air pressure. Too bad "going to go flat tomorrow" didn't show up on his pressure gauge

well have a great day and if I get some killer bargains I'll tell ya's about them later.
    hope everyone is doing good!!
